Terrible
Terrible; they will not leave you alone. When they can't make a sale or sell you a monthly plan, they email you to try to convince you. They don't know what the difference is between Active marketing and Passive marketing. Active marketing is running campaigns to get leads into your business so you can get paid. Passive marketing is what they will try to sell you. Google Ads get in front of those who are searching. How many people are searching for your business, who know? For $500, you would get 70-300 clicks on your website- not filling out a form, not inquiring, just clicking- which equals passive marketing. Businesses need business and clients and Yellow Pages don't understand that, they want your money that's it.

⚠️ SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS
⚠️ SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS — PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING WITH YELLOW PAGES
I strongly recommend that small-business owners carefully consider the cancellation terms before signing any advertising agreement with Yellow Pages Canada.
We started The Bin Man as a new business and signed up for Yellow Pages advertising. Unfortunately, the business did not generate enough customer interest to make the operation financially viable, and our investors made the decision to permanently close the business.
I contacted Yellow Pages immediately to cancel the advertising because there is literally no longer a business for them to advertise.
I was extremely disappointed to be told that cancellation would only take effect at the end of the contract. In other words, despite explaining that the business has permanently closed, I am being told that we may still be responsible for payments for the remainder of the contract.
I understand that contracts have terms, but I believe there should be reasonable consideration when a small business permanently ceases operations. Continuing to charge a closed business for advertising that it no longer needs or can benefit from is something every new entrepreneur should understand before signing up.
My advice to other small-business owners:
Read every cancellation and renewal clause carefully before agreeing to Yellow Pages advertising. Ask specifically what happens if your business closes. Get the answer in writing before signing anything.
Had I understood how difficult it could be to end the advertising agreement even after permanently closing the business, I would not have signed up.
I hope Yellow Pages reconsiders our situation and allows the contract to be terminated fairly.

Our experience with Yellow Pages Canada…
Our experience with Yellow Pages Canada so far has been extremely frustrating and concerning.
My husband is a small-business owner who was contacted by phone regarding advertising services for his business. We found the sales approach to be very pushy and fast-moving, and my husband did not fully understand at the time that he was committing his business to a non-cancellable 12-month advertising contract at $200 per month.
During the call, he was taken through a voice-signature process. What concerns us most is that the full written agreement and Terms and Conditions were not provided for him to read and review until after the voice-signature process had already been completed.
Once we received the written agreement and had an opportunity to properly review it, we immediately requested cancellation. The service start date had not arrived, onboarding had not taken place, and advertising services had not commenced. We were told no, the agreement could not be cancelled, and were sent the audio recording of the voice-signature process as justification.
The whole experience has left us extremely uncomfortable. Being moved through a telephone sales and voice-signature process and then receiving the full written contract afterward, only to be told there is no cancellation when you immediately try to withdraw, feels like a very concerning way to sell a significant 12-month commitment to a small business.
We were also charged $200 almost immediately.
Several specific services were described during the sales conversation, including targeted keywords, listings on multiple directories, Google Business Profile optimization, an analytics dashboard and ongoing support. However, these specific deliverables are not clearly itemized in the written agreement we received, which identifies the product as “Visibility and Reputation Management – Service Plus.”
We have asked Yellow Pages to reconsider and cancel the agreement by mutual consent before services commence.
For any other small-business owner considering Yellow Pages advertising, my advice based on our experience is simple: do not agree to anything during the sales call. Ask them to send you the complete written agreement and Terms and Conditions first, read everything carefully, and only then decide whether you want to proceed.
Given our experience with what we believe are highly questionable business practices, extremely pushy sales tactics, and the significant number of similar complaints and negative reviews we have since discovered online, we have now sought legal advice.
The entire experience has left us feeling as though we were trapped in an agreement rather than knowingly entering into a business relationship. What is especially concerning is discovering how many other small-business owners have reported remarkably similar experiences over the years.
At this point, I would encourage any business owner in a similar situation to seek independent legal advice. Personally, I would rather spend the money having a lawyer review and challenge an agreement than simply pay a company when I have serious concerns about the way that agreement was obtained.
Small-business owners deserve transparent sales practices, an opportunity to review what they are agreeing to, and clear information before being locked into a significant financial commitment.

I had another excellent experience with Yellow Pages customer service, this time with Wayne. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and pleasant to speak with. He took the time to understand my issue, answered my questions clearly, and made the entire experience easy and positive.
It is always refreshing to speak with someone who is professional, genuinely helpful, and clearly cares about providing good customer service. Wayne left me with another very positive impression of Yellow Pages and their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Thank you, Wayne, for the great service!

Complete garbage!
I don't even want to give this company a 1 star.
I cannot believe it... I'm living in the Twilight Zone, or Alice in Wonderland. Have these people not heard of Google?
I got my Yellow Pages today. It is AT LEAST 30 years old. The data is 100% UNRELIABLE. I owned a hotel in Niagara Falls that had a name change in the late 1990's... and the old name is still there, as is with many others I have seen.
This has to be a joke. How many trees were destroyed to spew out this garbage?
I'm showing all my friends... we're HOWLING at their stupidity!
And they call themselves a leading digital company?
HA! Funny!
Complete garbage!

I wish I could give a zero
I wish I could give a zero. YP is a real scam. Be careful about the contract; you cannot cancel for the contract period. They take their money, and you need to cancel at least 45 days before. Listings are useless to the bone. I use the Whitespark service to evaluate my listing rankings. I cannot even see myself on YP-related websites. If you have money to waste, be my guest and use their services.

Zero ROI and Extremely Difficult to Cancel
This advertising company feels stuck in the past and seems to target new business owners who have little experience with marketing. Their sales pitch focuses on getting your business onto the first page of their directory, but they require you to sign a one-year contract.
After only three months, I realized my own Google Ads campaigns were generating significantly better results. Looking at the analytics, I had essentially no return on investment from their service.
Once my initial one-year term ended, they continued billing me. I contacted them to cancel the advertising, but reaching the appropriate person was difficult. After finally being transferred to a Customer Experience Manager, I was told they were unavailable. What followed was a month-long back-and-forth by email.
When I clearly stated that I wanted to cancel all services, I received no response for nearly a month. Then I was informed that my contract had automatically renewed for another six months, something I never knowingly agreed to.
If you're considering signing with this company, read the contract carefully and pay close attention to the renewal and cancellation terms. Based on my experience, cancelling the service was far more difficult than signing up, and I would not recommend them.

Yellow Pages advertised a "free online…
Yellow Pages advertised a "free online listing," but that was not my experience. After expressing interest, I received a phone call that appeared to be handled by an AI bot, without any clear disclosure that I was speaking with an automated system. The purpose of the call was not to provide a free listing, but to pressure me into signing a 12-month paid contract.
I declined the offer, yet the calls continued. Despite my lack of interest, I received repeated follow-up calls, often daily, for months. The entire process felt misleading and aggressive. Based on my experience, the "free listing" advertisement appears to be a lead-generation tactic designed to funnel businesses into long-term paid agreements.
In Response to Your Comment:
I have absolutely no interest in contacting you again, especially not to help you "improve" your service. That is your responsibility, not mine. My experience with you has left me with zero confidence that further communication would accomplish anything, and I will not be wasting any more of my time.
