Jonathon at Trek bike repair on Stephanie and the 215, is a keeper for your company. This young man went above and beyond to make sure my bike was repaired properly and I now have the knowledge to do the repair should I have too. Thank you again Jonathon. You've earned a repeat customer over here. God bless. Cat Yanc

i just sold my canondale

i just sold my canondale. for a trek . now to be fare. i was on the canondale every single day for last 5 months. and it was a bike with the little thin tires. and it was like 10 lbs. and im 250. but other day my girl said it looked like a kids bike. but she dont no much about bikes. and i had seat way down. but that bike moved. big time. and i no going from one bike to a next is always a funny feeling. but getting on this new trek. was the biggest difference i ever had and i rode all kinds of bikes. it was 32 lbs. 3 times the size it felt like any way. and the TIRE size. wow. i was way to lucky on that canondale. but im sure if i was on a trek of same make and size. it would of been same. so im guess im just saying it was a big big change. thank u

Can’t say the bike (Trek Domane SL6) is…

Can’t say the bike (Trek Domane SL6) is bad but the Bontrager (a Trek owned brand) that goes with it is.

Tires bulging at the seams very prematurely, shoe material folding and cracking due to fragile excess material pulled by tightening mechanism,

Seems esthetics are given more emphasis than quality.

Would be 0 if I could

Would be 0 if I could. Put new tyres on my sons bike then he took it in for a service they said the tyres needed changing so they put on the flimsy things that last 5 minutes. 2 days later the tyre exploded due to the heat. These guys are a bunch of con artists don't trust them.

My experience with my first Trek bike

My experience with my first Trek bike - a Madone - after years of other brands has been excellent. Any issue I have brought up has been swiftly and pleasantly addressed. The bike's Project One paint job is excellent and eye-turning. The bike is super fast and light. Very happy.

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. Completely unethical and on the verge of—or beyond—the law. It’s rare to encounter such repulsive, reprehensible, and contemptuous behavior. It’s surprising that no one has addressed this long ago. I regret every penny I’ve spent on this company’s bikes in the past.

Matte black Trek paint flaking after only four months - avoid

I had a Trek 1.2 for 15 years with which I was very happy. On the strength of this, I bought a matte black Domane AL 5. Within four months, the paint began to flake off in small and larger spots. Photos were sent to the HQ by the local Trek shop. They said it was impact damage. I had not mishandled the bike and had not experienced this problem with my previous Trek bike, using it for similar rides and parking. They gave me some touch up paint and some credit to spend in the shop. The guys in the shop were very helpful (and surprised at the HQ response as they expected a replacement or resprayed frame) - hence some stars. I can only assume that Trek quality has plummeted. I would not recommend getting a matte black Trek. I cannot vouch for other colours.

I bought a Trek FX 2+ e bike 2.5 yrs ago. Had problems from the git go, but factory assured me they would stand behind it. Now after 3 rear hub replacements and broken spokes multiple times, the shop mgr. won’t return calls, and so far the factory hasn’t returned my call. In the past however the factory cust. Svc. folks have been responsive. But now I am requesting a refund and have not heard back. 3.15-26 Update: Trek factory warranty got back to me w/in 24 hrs of my submitting a BBB complaint. They have resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction!

Brakes leaked fluid and had to be replaced on new bike

Purchased a Verve hybrid trek bike on 3/1/22. Brakes started leaking fluid after 3 years, to the point where the brakes did not work. I had to replace both brakes with
Shimano brakes. I was told by the bike shop where I had my brakes replaced it was a known issue with Trek bikes. The brakes they had on those bikes were defective.
Tried to get some compensation from Trek, but was told only 2 year warranty on parts. This bike was ridden maybe 100 miles in total. VERY UNHAPPY with TREK. I will never buy another bike from them

Spent 3,000.00 on an electric bike

Spent 3,000.00 on an electric bike. Screen went bad. Three weeks later I still don’t have it fixed. Called the dealer. Said ai just need to be patient. I really liked the bike but will not upgrade or buy another one for my wife. Unfortunate. Trek needs to do better.

It is heartbreaking for me to write this.

It is heartbreaking for me to write this, but my faith in Trek has been deeply shattered. I have literally toured around the lower United States and spent $1,000s on my bicycle, upgrades, gear, and service. During this self-supported tour I upgraded my stock aluminum wheels to carbon; a purchase of slightly more than $1,000. These wheels are guaranteed under Trek’s warranty program, but after the rear wheel axle suffered a failure, I have to wait at least a month for a replacement. What really saddens me is that Trek is not working hard to get me back on my bike while I wait for my new rear wheel; perhaps pull a compatible wheel off a store bike so I can get back on the road.

I am now forced to seriously consider another bicycle manufacturer for my next tour, which will be through Europe.

…I am so very sad.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience.
I ordered four items costing over $500, which took nearly three weeks to arrive—well past the two-week timeframe I needed them for a cycling event. When the package finally arrived, only two of the four items were included. I had to source the missing equipment elsewhere at additional cost. Despite contacting customer service multiple times by phone and email, I’ve still not received a refund for the missing items after more than two weeks. Poor communication, slow service, and incorrect order fulfillment — I do not recommend buying from this company.

Brilliant customer service!!

After riding a Madone Gen 6 for three years I decided to upgrade to a Madone Gen 8. This bike is seriously fast and feels a lot lighter than the Gen 6. After 3 rides on it I got a puncture, a screw went into the rear tyre. After close inspection the screw had went right through the rim tape and carbon as well ☹️
After phoning Trek they told me to take it to the shop I purchased it from to check if it was repairable or not.
The local bike shop I went to put in a warranty claim and within 5 days I had a new rear wheel free of charge and the bike was back on the road again.
I'd like to thank Trek Bikes for their excellent customer support and to James and the team at Fife Cycles Leuchars Scotland for getting me back on the road so quickly. If you are ever looking for a new or used Trek or parts be sure to visit their website.
Thanks again guys

Nice bike with flawed motor

What started as a nice quiet electric bike soon turned in to a noisy mess. Frame creaks, then motor went after very little mileage and now it needs to go in for a 2nd motor. Thats 2 motors in under 14months with barely any mileage on them and certainly no hard riding. Seems the TQ50 motor is flawed and unreliable. Shame really. Won't buy another Trek as once this one is 2 years old there is no warranty on the motor and its a good £900-£1000 to replace.

Trek poor customer communications.

I bought a trek madone sir bike 4 years ago which had a structural issue and had to be warranted out. My complaint with trek is the issue took 6 weeks to resolve with no communication back to me the owner who paid $8500 dollars. The customer service reps are generally nice but are horrible at getting back to you with status. One rep told me everything was resolved and shipped, then i find out they did not ship everything and had failed to inform me or the bikeshop. Internally they have a horrible communication system. I had to call no less than 10 times over the course of 6 weeks to get this resolved. In the end they were able to resolve my issue and I am happy with the result.
