The bike is magnificent. That is the best part of the experience. The purchasing process was extremely painful. The size was seldom available and when it was it would sell out so fast that I even lost it one time when I had it in my cart. The "notify me" email system only works if you were one of the first to ask because the tired notification system that canyon uses means that most of us never got notified. I used a website monitoring service or I would never have known it was back in stock. Paying for it was very difficult because all of my accounts are in the US. So a CC would not work because of the US billing address. The wire transfer I tried using the special IBAN provided by Canyone was denied 3 times. Finally Apple Pay worked. As for shipping. DHL was lousy. They showed good progress of shipment until all of a sudden one day it showed as out for delivery. It really wasn't. We called and scheduled a Friday delivery. We waited around all day until we finally called and they said Monday. So we waited around all day again and they finally called and said that it would be Wednesday. When we asked why they said there was no room on the truck. Then on Wednesday they demanded that we give them an Italian phone number before the driver could call us. Luckily we had one. Finally delivered. As for assembly. The special torque Allen wrench used for the seat post assembly was missing. The rear axel was way over torqued and neither the rear nor the front axel had assembly paste applied. We fixed that. The range extender was delivered without mounting bolts for the frame. We ordered those on Amazon. Now the bike is fully assembled and on the road. it is a DREAM. LOVE IT! The process, though, we have never worked so hard to buy a bike before. Was it worth it? Absolutely, but there is an easier way to do this if anyone is interested.

It is a great bike, the fit is excellent, the ride is beyond category and the bike is beautiful. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Price for a bike withe these specs. No other brand can do this.

The bike was out of stock and I had to wait a few months for it. But once I ordered it and shipped it to Pedalers Fork, they assembled it and set me up with all the accessories and fit me for it. The brakes were squeaking a little after a few rides and they replaced the pads and now the bike is great and so much fun to ride.

Easy to order correct recommendation on frame size and arrived in good time.

Easy process to order products. Good website. Quick despatch, quality products.

Incredible bike, good value given the spec for a premium product. Looks great. Glides on the road. Cannot fault the quality.
Only issue is the wait time, which would be OK, but often they are out of stock so you can't even pre order for when they come into stock, so you are endlessly having to check the website because they are snapped up so quickly they go out of stock again. and for long periods.

Great road bike, amazing to ride

The Bike is really well built and has good equipment for the money. I love the versatility with frame mounts, racks and fenders. However really disappointed there were no mounting bolts on the frame. The right Brifter was not straight as if it had been dropped with a small crack in the hood. I repositioned it and all seems well. There were no signs of damage to the box it was shipped in. I was able to fit some 29X2.0 Continental Dubnital and it handles Chunky a Pennsylvania gravel like a champ. Overall happy with the purchase.

Carlsbad flagship in-store support from the entire staff was great. Christian Rocha helped me pick the right road bike, he was very insightful and patient. In addition, Canyon online support answered all the questions I had prior to making my final decision. In summary, I had a fantastic buying experience with Canyon Bicycles purchasing my first Canyon road bike, the Aeroad CF SLX 8.

Love my gravel bike. Tried to order a new road bike but the dates of when they’d be in stock kept changing to later and later until I gave up. Great bikes and happy for their success but not transparent about when they can deliver. People don’t want to wait 8 months once they decide to upgrade their wheels.

I wanted to try a smaller frame size for a better overall fit, electronic gear shifting, a sram group set, and shorter cranks. Essential to me were carbon wheels. DT Swiss hubs were an added feature I did not expect.
Overall bike comfort is amazing!

All went smooth and quick, though I ordered bike computer holder that was mentioned as compatible with my bike, but it wasn’t as appeared. Anyways return was done perfectly, quick and easy. I am super happy with my purchase.

Well built, well designed bikes that are well priced compared to other brands. Get one!

I like that you configure the bike to fit the rider.
I like the option to chose different group sets.
I was impressed how quickly the bike was delivered. I am glad I used the service partner since I was not home to accept the delivery.

There were problems with a bent rear derailleur hanger out-of-the-box. Arrangements were quickly made at Canyon's expense for a new hanger, installation and compensation to me for the hassle of the bike not being ready out-of-the-box and having to bring it in for service before I could really ride it.

I was impressed by Canyon's ability to get things right and keep me happy. I do understand that things can happen during shipping that could bend a sacrificial part. I also understand that I am riding a really nice bike and that I would have paid more for essentially the same bike through a conventional retail outlet.
