If I could rate zero stars I would . Complained about lack of signal and service and was sent a letter saying they tried to call me but couldn’t get through 🤣 no surprise there. My sim doesn’t work yet in order to cancel you want me to pay the full handset fee . Jokers avoid at all costs .
Very helpful, friendly, plenty of time sortimg out my best needs. Also helping to transfer all my data. Strongly recommend t Tesco
Not being great with technology I found switching my provider to tesco very straight forward.
With help from tesco I achieved this without pestering my children for a change.
I have to say that my recent experience of Tesco Mobile Service has been awful but I leave the reader to judge.
Upon arrival by air in Kefalonia, Greece I found that my 'new with contract' Galaxy A56 would neither take or make voice calls as it had done in the UK. Emails and Texts OK. Over a period of 4 weeks I made email contact with the Service team. Each of 4 email exchanges was lengthy but yielded no solution and, worst of all, I had to give proof of identity as well as a full description of the fault for each one. Clearly liaison between agents or records made on-line were missing.. To rub salt into the wound, each exchange ended with the (written) words "if you are still having problems give us a ring on ........or if abroad....... !!??After 4 weeks of this I Googled my problem.
"Try a Reset" Google said and as that had not been suggested before I did a Reset. Problem solved.
Having now got the full use of a phone I rang one of those numbers and once again gave proof of identity and a full description of what had happened and asked to speak to a manager. No manager available or willing to take my call so I asked the agent the question "What are you going to do about compensation for 4 weeks of trying to do business without voice contact. We then went into waffle conversation of "Its not in my power etc etc." I rang off and cancelled my Direct Debit instruction for a Bill due for payment in 10 days time as a backstop and perhaps to generate action. Two days later the 'system' detected the lack of DD instruction and demanded that the full amount must be paid. The same day an agent contacted me suggested a 50% reduction in the bill. Not being litigious by nature I accepted. I immediately paid the reduced amount by Card. Shortly after, on the due Billing date there was a howl from the 'system' that, as I suspected, tried to take the full amount but failed due to my backstop action.
Is that awful Service or is it not?. I think it is monumentally poor!

I was able to speak to a real person on the phone, who was excellent. This is a massive plus for me. My issue was resolved quickly and professionally.
New phone very helpful service lots of knowledge good value
I had a big problem that I reported, with in a day a very helpful member of the customer service team rang me. She listened to my problem, solved the issue and got everything sorted out. Brilliant customer service that unfortunately you don't find with many companies. I would recommend to anyone A*****
Had a recurring fault on my phone that neither Tesco or Samsung would acknowledge so I had to pay over £150.00 to upgrade early so I had a fully working phone. It's a disgrace that it cost me all that money to get out of a contract that left me with a phone that didn't work correctly. Very poor from Tesco's and my new phone wasn't much better as had to return it twice before it was set up correctly after having to do a factory reset after spending all day setting it up.
Very busy but she was keeping her other customers informed how long they were likely to be before her colleague returned from lunch
I’ve been with Tesco Mobile for some years now and sometimes the customer service works and sometimes it doesn’t. Like most automated systems they make it harder to actually speak to a human being and what you really need to do is really speak to a human being and to cut cost, they try to make it impossible or should I say difficult as a last resort. It’s a shame because I quite like Tesco Mobile but the customer service is a bit difficult at times sometimes they help you sometimes they don’t. It depends on who you speak to. I previously had very good experience with Tesco customer service but it seems to have got worse. That’s all.
I was wondering why my bills were so high and went online to check. It turns out I have been paying for a second contract - nothing to do with me - that has charged me £140 for the last 12 months. Of course I wanted to A) stop this immediately and B) get a refund for the monies wrongly taken. But instead the customer service rep said that I would have to pay an 'early termination fee' for the ghost account, costing an additional £79.20 on top of the £140 I have already been wrongly charged. You couldn't make it up! After 40 minutes she said she did not have the authority to issue a refund and I'd have to start again with the Billings team to seek refund. Shockingly bad customer service.

Fantastic deals with Tesco Mobile, the fact it runs off o2's infrastructure is a positive thing for as I've been using o2 for a number of years and have been happy with the network coverage. To have the same network coverage at such a brilliant price is perfect!
Also, the fact that the price is locked for the duration of the contract is brilliant!
Very helpful and me feel valued as a customer
The customer service at Eastbourne Tesco is far superior to other high street phone shops I've experienced.
Good (O2) network. Genuinely awful customer support.
I switched to Tesco Mobile for three reasons.
Firstly, they supported eSIM. Secondly, they use the O2 network, which finally gave me reliable signal and mobile data at home. Thirdly, I'd read plenty of positive reviews about their customer service.
Unfortunately, the last point couldn't have been further from my experience.
After returning from holiday, my mobile data stopped working completely. Calls and texts worked, my phone connected to the O2 5G network, but I had no internet over mobile data whatsoever.
What followed was days of wasted time.
Tesco's app proudly tells you there are "plenty of ways to get in touch". In reality, that wasn't my experience. Facebook wouldn't allow messages. X (Twitter) wouldn't allow messages. Calling Customer Care meant first sitting through several minutes of an automated system repeatedly telling me how much quicker and easier it was to use the app or live chat... the very live chat that wasn't resolving the problem.
Live chat was dreadful and painfully slow and inconvenient. Every response took ages. An unreasonable time delay between asking and responding. Conversations frequently ended and were cut off before the issue was resolved, leaving me to start all over again with someone else. Every new adviser asked the same questions as if nobody had read a single previous message.
I repeatedly explained that I was using an eSIM, yet on more than one occasion I was told to "remove my SIM card and clean the gold contacts"
Dear Tesco Mobile, an eSIM doesn't physically exist!
That one instruction summed up the entire experience.
It felt like scripted responses rather than someone actually reading what I'd written.
I reluctantly reset my iPhone's network settings multiple times because I was told to. Each reset meant reconnecting to every saved Wi-Fi network again afterwards. Time-consuming, inconvenient and, as it turned out, completely pointless.
I checked APN settings, restarted my phone repeatedly, manually selected the network and even had a brand new replacement eSIM posted out and activated.
Still no mobile data.
I have a dual sim device so I also explained that my EE physical SIM worked perfectly in the same phone, proving beyond doubt that the handset wasn't the problem. Yet I was still asked questions that showed nobody really understood the fault I was reporting.
Being asked if I could use apps without Wi-Fi, after repeatedly explaining I had no mobile data, summed up the entire support experience: nobody was listening.
Eventually, after asking repeatedly, I was told the issue would be escalated and that someone would call me back.
Nobody ever did.
Several days later my mobile data simply started working again without any explanation. If Tesco fixed something behind the scenes, nobody had the courtesy to tell me.
Technical faults happen. I can accept that.
What I can't accept is the amount of my own time I had to spend chasing support, repeating myself, resetting my phone, losing my saved network settings and trying to find a way of speaking to someone who would actually take ownership of the issue.
The irony is that I chose Tesco Mobile because of its reputation for customer service.
Based on this experience, I wouldn't choose them again for that reason.
