Spoil our new car by lack of instruction book.
Having just paid over £50k for an electric car I was staggered to find out that a handbook is not supplied by the manufacturer. I have been told that if I want one I have to search for it on the internet and download it myself. Pretty useless when away from home and wanting to find out how to use something. This is just penny pinching and unworthy of a notable manufacturer.
67tkm Volkswagen Caddy engine broke
67tkm Volkswagen Caddy engine broke
I have Volkswagen Caddy - I bought new one and now it is a bit more than 3 years old and 67000 km driven. Car has been always serviced at Volkswagen authorized company.
Engine just broke and Volkswagen tells I need to pay +800 euros to fix it. I asked them what I should have done to avoid this. They told you would have not been able to avoid this and this is just bad luck.
Arrogant brand. My friend just ordered new Volkswagen and we try to cancel purchase now.
Volkswagen autocentri balduina not…
Volkswagen autocentri balduina not recommended !!! The dealer are ready to do everything with some discount to sale you the car (car plate in less than 6days! This is impossible in Italy!) And after you sign the deal they find everything to cancel this discount! At the end I am still waiting for my car and the plate are still not ready after 12 days ! I sign for this car on 23 January and still waiting for my car ! Not recommended at all !! Go far from them, it's a lot of other Volkswagen in Roma !
So far, So good
So far Volkswagen has been a good experience and I figure that It will be a great in the upcoming years.
I'm happy with used Jetta I've bought
I was skeptical first when thinking about buying a used car, but then I accidentally was shown by one of my friends a Jetta (2016) in good condition. And I decided to take it, since the price was affordable for me. Driving for year already, and I cant complain about a thing. So I'm absolutely happy with my acquisition.
Crap and disgraceful service
Crap - never a VW again.
We bought a 2016 VW Pheaton from a dealer in Germany / the car came straight from the VW plant as it had been "refurbished to new state" and received a 1yr warranty on the car coupled with a 2yr service contract.
A few months ago the car started "vibrating" on the front end - and despite taking the car to a a dealer they could not find the problem.
In November the problem came to light - Wheel bearing left front was gone ...
Changed it at the dealer ( mileage 120.000 km) and was told that despite the fact that the problem started during the warranty period - and the car is still within the service warranty - this was "normal" wear and tear and I could pay for it myself ...... the bill came to 400+ Euro's
Wrote a letter to VW - ref nr, 2021-01-002305 and today was called by a lady that tells me that it is "quite normal wear and tear" .........On a VW Pheaton (the best they can build !!........ hahahaha) ...... well if that is the case - this is the last VW I will drive.
One would hate to step into a lower class car - the wheel bearings will probably fall off even sooner ....
DISGRACEFUL !!

2.0 bi-turbo Transporter engine is a complete disaster. Volkswagen aware of the multiple issues and do very little to support the customer who bought their faulty product. Leaving a large mechanical bill and a sour taste in my mouth.......

Although I have bought a Tiguan in Volkswagen "GROUP" and it is made in Germany and QUALIFIED in 8 countries in Europe (Belgie, Portugal..)...VW refuses to give it a CE certificate....shame on this GROUP
Golfs...
No BIAS here, but VW Golfs are some of the best cars you can get. Confortable, small, and not expensive at all.

Our family has been owning VW Golfs since ages, and I couldn't imagine any better car. Our first VW has been a beetle, and it still gives me positive emotions when I see and hear one in the streets. Reliability of these cars was always excellent too.
New vw polo
New vw polo
Brought a brand new polo June 2018, day after getting it got letter from vow saying rear seatbelt had recall. Went back they said it had been done. The cars steering would not release when stop start activated took it back they can’t find a problem this kept happening even there service people said it’s not safe to drive called AA they said the same was told still no problem according to vow. Then got another letter saying seatbelt not safe to use, was not told anything about this when car was brought. Much more but not enough space to write it all. Dreadful company

Purchased an VW Approved used (7k Miles) VW Transporter Kombi. From day one the side windows have leaked. The vehicle has now been in for repair 9 times and is still leaking. VW, The VW approved dealer and the VW approved repair van centre cannot fix the problem.
VW's latest answer is "to have none opening side windows fitted as we cannot stop the leak" Do you really think that is acceptable on a £30k vehicle? I think not!
You offer a second rate warranty and a third world customer service.
My advice to commercial vehicle purchasers is to opt the Mercedes at similar costs or the Renault and have an extra £15k your bank account.

I actually had a good view of the company before Dieselgate and now the Software fix for the emissions.
Since the day I applied the fix, my car has been and out of the dealer. Yesterday I picked it up at 1PM.. after paying for the repair.
Six hours and 20KM later... the car stopped again and had to be towed back to VW.
At the moment even FIAT and the unknown chinese brands are more reliable than Volkswagen... and VW keeps forgetting that without the Volk, there is no Volkswagen...
Too bad
I drove several VW's (up, golf, passat) and Audi's (A4 v6, A8 4.2) thinking it was a benchmark.
And it was....long ago. I found out that VAG has become a lot of slicky commercial hot air that does not meet what it claims.
After driving Volvo, BMW, Citroen i discovered that VAG cars have a very bad, unbalanced, oldfashioned, strange behaving suspension/drivetrain. It rolls and dives as it pleases. All models do that except for the up. That one drove reasonably well.
After a objective comparison i also discovered that VAG asked 25-30% more money for their stripped products than fully loaded and better driving cars of other brands. Looking at the annual stats on reliabilty investigations, VAG scores no more then average.
After the latest scandals of briding governments, manipulation of pollutiondata, buying the "car of the year price" twice, serious quality issues with DSG, TFSI, electronics, etc, etc, i'm done. No more VAG for me.
Danger to life, secutity features don't work and never will!
I bought the smallest Volkswagen in a regular German store build to order for me as a new car. One of the security features I bought (and paid extra) was the city emergency break assistant. I noticed it did not work in a dangerous situation, took it to the official service and guess what they did.
The read the errors, said there was none and that it would work. Checking the actual function is not possible.
Later I had an accident which would be caught by the assistant. That showed the statement was wrong. Volkswagen still does not react to my complaint.
I strongly recommend not to buy and not to use volkswagen, because of danger to life.
