Used trivago for a hotel room booking…

Used trivago for a hotel room booking and was redirected to a company called LogiTravel for the payment.
Turns out the room booking didnt exist when I arrived at the hotel.
So I had to book alternative accomodation and asked Trivago and LogiTravel for a refund. Logi Travel took approx 40 days to reply to my request, until I sent a letter before court action to their Company registered address. Then they offered a refund and said it would be back on the payment method I used for the booking. Another 14days later and still no refund. If TRIVAGO are to use fake companies like LogiTravel then it makes them as a search engine worthless. Trivago have not helped me one bit in terms of getting a refund. They just redirect me to LogiTravel who are clearly just a scam company who take money for fake bookings. DO NOT USE TRIVAGO!

trivago left a disabled father and his daughter stranded in Turkey after a 10-hour journey due to their system error. The hotel used this to price gouge us in cash and commit tax evasion. Trivago’s support refuses to take responsibility and tells us to 'go talk to the hotel'. Shameless customer support!

Not as advertised

There appears to be no follow up to see the state of the rooms following initial photographs provided by the listing accommodation provider. There is no way that The Vines at Bampton is the same rooms advertised on Trivago. Our room smells so bad we had to buy air freshener. There is mold in the bathroom. The carpet and bedding is stained. There is old coffee spills down the wall. It appears they photographed the house next door not the rooms for let. Luckily we are only staying one night otherwise we would not have stayed the night. We are spending as much time as possible out of the room for our own health.

Wow. I tried Trivago...Don't bother

Wow, and to think Jurgen and Benny put their names to this lot. Just spent a fair bit of time trying to find a place in Brussels to stay for the Christmas markets. What a complete joke, the prices advertised aren't the ones you get when you follow their link, especially the airbnb ones. Stay clear and don't waste your time. So i 'tried Trivago' and thought it was poo.

I have NEVER used Trivago and never will. This is because their continuous barrage of adverts every day are tiresome and totally annoying depicting a group of idiotic men. Is this it, you really expect us to use your services with trash like this thrown at us?

Let down

Let down. We booked a three night stay in February and received all the confirmation etc. On arrival at the hotel (August) we were informed the booking was cancelled. After several calls ( costly) and accepting calls ( again expensive) it was finally sorted after 4 hours waiting in the lobby. This is after a very lengthy journey. No explanation has been provided why the booking was cancelled and we were not advised. No compensation for the loss of time, cost of mobile phone calls or the inconvenience caused has been offered
Before resolving the booking debacle i was being asked to book the room , pay for it and then charge them, Luckily the Receptionist advised me against it and recommended they pay for the second booking directly
Never again will I use Trivago to book a hotel with them.

I have all the reference and case numbers available

No star if I could

No star if I could. We booked a hotel in Venice. Emailed hotel directly nearer the time to make a request for something. No knowledge of our booking. We had no booking even though company had taken money. We would have turned up late at night with no hotel if I hadn’t coincidentally contacted the hotel. They refused to refund my card originally and said I could only have credit with them. In the end got refund but no hotel. Absolutely terrible service and dangerous to leave to female travellers with no where to stay. DO NOT USE

Absolute terrible site that I will…

Absolute terrible site that I will never use again. I became a member of Trivago deals on Monday before I booked a mini break, doing this was supposed to get me a reduction of £10, which it didn't. The booking was for the next day, immediately after I booked and paid an email came through saying we would get check in details 2 days before travel....we were going the next day. Nothing came through from Trivago on the day of our break and my partner had to ring the hotel after we were due to self check in for the actual details. I spent most of the day on the day checking for emails that never came. This should not have happened, we should have had these details before we set off and this caused unnecessary stress. I wish I had used booking.com like I usually do.

TRIVAGO MISREPRESENENTATION

Hi there, I booked via Trivago their special deal to the Bossington Hall hotel in Bossington for Monday the 17th August 2026. the web site advertises a luxury hotel on a bed and breakfast basis and uses a picture of a luxury room. On arrival for check in the owner stated that I was the second person who had been mis sold by trivago. The room I actually was given was in their separate accommodation the bunk house, with a separate private bathroom though other guests could potentially use it outside my bedroom on a room only basis. I was pretty annoyed. No breakfast at all and not in the main hotel building.
I phoned Trivago and spoke to an agent who struggled to take my Hotmail email down even though I spelt it phonetically for her three times, its a basic one. She then said another agent would phone me back. Which to be fair to Trivago an agent rang me for New York an hour later. I went through the whole thing again sending the agent photos of the room, signage which he requested. This agent who I have his name did not even bother to acknowledge my email. I had no choice having driven to the hotel but to use the bunk house room and stay there.
In the morning I spoke to the owner who said the agent had contacted him directly demanding the hotel refund and compensate me even though it was not the the hotels fault they did not advertise the hotel BOSSINGTON HALL LUXURY BED AND BREAKFAST but TRIVAGO. I re contacted this agent twice now and they have not had the grace to reply. remember this is TRIVAGO a massive organisation.
I believe they have broken the TRADE DESCRITPTIONS ACT, SUPPLY OF GOODS AND SERVICES ACT ETC.
Be aware TRIVAGO ARE NOT HONEST

Disappointing Experience

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money

Unfortunately, my experience at Palmin Hotel was very disappointing. The hotel is extremely noisy, mainly because of the animation activities and other guests. Since the property is relatively small, the noise can be heard throughout the hotel, even in different rooms. Changing rooms does not really solve the problem.

I also found the overall quality and condition of the facilities below what I expected based on the hotel’s presentation and the price I paid.

I contacted the hotel and Booking.com to explain the situation. I requested either a cancellation, a change of dates, or a voucher to use the reservation at another time, but all of these options were refused.

I understand that hotels have entertainment and activities, but guests should also be able to rest and have a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

For the price, I expected a much better level of quality and comfort. I would not choose this hotel again.

Absolute sham of a company

Absolute sham of a company. Booked and paid up front only for them to say this might not be confirmed we will come back to you once we’ve agreed with the hotel. Come back two days later to let me know it wasn’t booked the hotel didn’t approve the price.

This is not a business model? Why are they advertising all over the tv at the moment when they cannot do the one thing they’re advertising

Scam company

Scam company! Yet again been let down by this firm, not once had a successful booking , its always the same ,they give you a good price, take you to a site to make the booking , who then just farms all your contact details/phone number etc .Just to be told the room has gone then takes you to another page where the price is the maximum price charged the the hotel anyway .

Booking cancelled

Booking cancelled, wasted ages on the phone trying to rebook - failed and then price increased by 25% They then twice pushed my call to a nonexistent customer care line, press 1 for sales 2 for booking and no option for customer care!
Left without affordable accommodation for an urgent lengthy trip at last minute!
Will happily supply booking ref.
