Just received my slade glasses from low cost glasses and they are perfect. I honestly cannot praise this company enough and nick jay sorted my issue out for me very promptly honestly you will not be disappointed buying glasses from this company

The glasses finally arrived. They were not correct. After a few go rounds, I received a full refund.

I've bought glasses from Low Cost Glasses for a number of years. Being a graphic designer I was always very sensitive when it came to eyesight, but I am even more so since an eye operation went wrong. I've now had 9 eye ops, my eyesight is pretty good thanks to Moorfields eye hospital, but I do have a slightly wonky prescription. As a result I tend to buy quite a few pair of glasses for different situations. Low Cost Glasses has become something of a go-to for me. I find their website practical, informative and easy to use, and features such as try-on are helpful. The ordering process is straightforward and clear, as you would expect it to be, and frequent promotions are welcome, but facilities such as being able to upload phone photos of prescriptions are especially useful. Delivery is on-time and customer support especially helpful, particularly when dealing with quality control issues. (After a recent optician's visit I decided to try experimenting a little with a prescription for an intermediate distance, which was fine but their quality control was on it immediately and customer support in touch straight away to make sure there were no mistakes. It was all fine, but I was impressed by the attention to detail). And then there's the glasses themselves. My latest purchase is a pair of prescription sunglasses, with seven-quid frames and polarising lenses. They arrived a couple of days ago and I'm extremely happy. The frames look good, fit and have a contemporary finish, and the prescription is spot-on. TBH the reason for this purchase was for driving on holiday. I did go to a regular optician at the beginning of the year and was persuaded to spend c.£600 on a pair of RayBan frames with varifocal photochromic lenses, which are okay but still a bit light for driving in bright sunshine. I'm pretty sure it's the LCG glasses that are going to get the most use on holiday this year. (They probably won't let me in the Negresco, but that won't be the glasses fault!) I'm happy to recommend Low Cost Glasses based on years of experience using them.

Hi this is my second pair of glasses from this company I give them 4 stars they where pretty fast with delivery the glasses look really nice and the prescription they did was spot on, they look cool when there on thank you everyone for doing a good job.
before you think that I work for this company I dont I have my own window company.

I ordered glasses back in May time and they had a scratch on one side of the glass , so I advised this company and they offered me another free pair. It took some sorting out and I did have to threaten to go via my bank to claw back the money, but it was sorted, and the new pair are fine.

Excellent service quality glasses without the big price tag the team are lovely it's like buying from your friend they go out of their way to help you can't speak highly enough and recommend to everyone who wears glasses a big thank you again

Have purchased several pairs of glasses now from low cost glasses.co.uk, purchased my last pair with platinum lenses, they are first class and a fraction of the cost from Specsavers.
Communication is first class, I highly recommend this company A*****

Years ago got good glasses from them. This year got fake email allegedly from DPD saying no one answered door and requesting paid for redelivery. Door camera showed no one called. Email was from private address, not DPD. No glasses after 15 day delivery period.
Looks like a scam site has taken over the business.
UPDATE: eventually got glasses, late but they were the correct spec(s).

Two pairs of sunglasses ordered that were supposed to arrive within 10 days. This was 20 days ago, they have not even been dispatched yet. No reply to my message chasing them. I've sent another today.

I ordered 5 years ago and had great service from them which is why I ordered here again. Very disappointed.

EDIT. After posting my negative review, my order and emails were found and dealt with, blaming 'unforeseen technical issues'.

The sunglasses arrived. Unfortunately the cases are too small for the glasses and they won't close, meaning that I'm risking them being damaged anytime I'm not using them. I replied to the email I had been sent stating this, and as expected, it has still not been addressed. This was 13 days ago.

The glasses themselves are fine. And I love how you can try them on virtually on the website. The customer service however... well... don't expect anything in that regard.

I originally reviewed and rated this company one-star on the basis that my glasses had not been processed some 9 days after ordering, there was no reply to my emails and investigation into the company raised further concerns.

My emails were answered after a couple of days and my ordered expedited. I received the glasses 12 days after ordering.

I am very pleased with the glasses. They appear better quality than many of the high street seller own brands. The lens are very clear and arrived clean, unlike those from another online supplier. The lens polishing cloth is one of the best I have seen. The case whilst not the best was far better quality than I expected.

So why only 2 stars? I have down rated this company because their overall approach is too misleading and despite me raising concerns they have not been addressed.

The glass are NOT made in Liverpool, they are made in a foreign country and shipped to the UK via a third party company for onward distribution.

The supply time was far longer than advertised

The shipping cost was 17% higher than advertised

The seller does not publish trading address or contact details so is in breach of UK legislation

The company's privacy policy does not detail contact addresses or even advise who their data controller is

The seller appears to be a drop shipper operating from virtual office mail box addresses. I checked 4 current and previous addresses - all appeared to be virtual office/mail box locations

Low cost glasses has been closed down at least twice in the UK.

My credit card was charged to a company in the USA in what appeared to be virtual office.

I could not establish where the glasses were actually made.

There is no address you can take legal action against in the event of dispute.

I consider this a high risk company, if all goes well you get some nice glasses at a good price but if they don't arrive or are not as described, then matters could be very different.

Seriously avoid this company....still waiting for glasses despite sending me a message last week saying they had been despatched and a tracking number would be sent.... several days later still no tracking info...I urge you to go elsewhere if you require quick delivery... customer service is an utter disgrace...

Received glasses today. Thought I had purchased glasses that phased for sun, but they are varifocal sunglasses. My mistake but.... absolutely perfect fit, struggled with varifocals, these are perfect. Sent a fresh order for clear this time. Awaiting with anticipation. Reviewing against Specsavers versions. Lowcostglasses far superior in design and vision. Price excellent, order fairly easy although second order had to reset password to access my script. Delivery was longer than expected but arrived well packed. For second order paid for quicker delivery. Overall super. Btw messaged customer service who responded quickly. Well worth trying. Out of ten. Have to say ten

Personal replies to queries. Helpful choice of frames in a range of colours and materials. Chosen frames great fit. Email updates.
Value for money. Would recommend.
Especially with fast service postal delivery.

Very very slow delivery, when I chased with customer services I was told they were dispatched but took over another week. Glasses themselves are fine

I am so pleased with my glasses, they fit well and cost literally a fraction of what I usually have to pay. I think that because of the low price I felt quite anxious about the process, thinking that I must have done something wrong for the costs to be so low and the process to have been so easy. Due to that I emailed the company several times and each time I received a prompt and courteous reply. In all it took 2 weeks for my glasses to arrive but this included 2 bank holidays plus they are varifocal and reactive lenses.

Sent them copy of my new prescription, ordered with reactive photochromic but they got me a wrong prescription, confirmed by my optician. I can see better without glasses!! But they refused to replace it. Never more!

I have been waiting for weeks for glasses. I ordered these as a spare pair. I ordered a better pair from Specsavers at the same time and thankfully got these within a week. I’ve emailed twice but if you’re in need of glasses urgently don’t order from here, it’s a ridiculous long wait. I will try another “UK” company from now on

They only ggot one star as that was the only way i could add my complaint, the company took my money for a pair of reading and a pair of distance glasses, when i asked where they were, they replied telling me they had made 2 pairs of distance glasses and would i accept them, i replied with no, i wanted a full refund, and they ignored it and asked again, They are none contact company other than emails which they ignore, go elswhere, save the aggrivation.

Ordered a pair of distance glasses, ordering was so easy, I did put the wrong postcode in on the delivery address which was corrected by customer service, but unfortunately it was still incorrect so there was issues with the delivery, but I eventually received my glasses, customer service always replied when I emailed, and the glasses are perfect and make a massive difference just what I needed, I’ve ordered a second pair and put the correct postcode so no issues with delivery next time.
