We unfortunately had to coordinate with JS Law as part of the sale of our home. They were the solicitor for our purchaser and were terrible throughout in terms of communication and just seemed to be (for the most-part) incompetent.

It was routine for them to take many weeks to send simple emails, be completely uncontactable - even when other solicitors throughout the chain tried to reach them - and when they did eventually respond, it would be vague and incomplete (they seem to be big fans of selective reading).

There were multiple instances where the whole process was put at risk through their inability to action matters in a timely manner. They also seemed to not know how to respond to follow-up questions from our solicitor with regards to issues they created themselves, requiring standard correspondence go through multiple layers of approval before being submitted.

The person assigned to the case also went on leave at a few critical points without notice and didn't feel the need to alert anybody that this was going to happen, leaving everyone else in a tough spot. No one was also assigned to pick up communication in their absence either; everyone that works here seems to be entirely unreachable even in extremely urgent circumstances.

People would be wise to check this review and others similar before using their services if they want a smooth service and would also like to maintain their current levels of sanity. The one star is due to the fact that we did eventually sell our property, despite JS Law's apparent best-efforts to prevent that. I would probably give a 1/2 star if I could.

Truly 1st Class service right from start to end. Proper professional case handling with fast and efficient communication. The transparency in their online portal system is very reassuring. I would like say a special thank you to Bryony Gunn for handling my case so well.

I really love the app as we could keep track of progress at every given time.

Our conveyancer Nicole was really great with great attention to details and responding to our questions.

In addition, she showed commitment to finalize purchase quickly as we were pressed for time for our mortgage offer because a new offer would have costed us more. Most delays were third party (Land Registry, Management company) hence nothing could be done to fast track.

One thing I would love to see improve is better communication when assigned convenyancer is off work.
Overall, JS Law got the job done efficiently.

Louie was brilliant. He was always patient, sympathetic and understanding during a very long process. I felt that I could ask him anything and I always got a sympathetic and informative reply. He made the process a lot more bearable and for that I will always be grateful.

Today (17th July) we exchanged contracts, and as first-time buyers we didn't really know what to expect. We began our house-buying journey in the middle of March, and throughout the process Irfaan Hafejee at JS Law was our main point of contact.

I had plenty of conversations with Irfaan via email, and he was always helpful and responsive. We were also provided with an online portal containing all the relevant information and documents we needed, which I found extremely useful and made it easy to keep track of the progress.

Poor service. Difficult to get hold off. Didn’t reply to other solicitors. Quoted a price which ended up being a lot more than expected. Definitely would not use again or recommend to anyone else.

Unfortunately I’ve had to take to writing here as I’m not getting responses to my emails or calls regarding our purchase and sale. We’ve had issues outstanding for over a month and keep being advised it’s resolved to then find out it’s not actually been actioned. Communication is so bad and we made it well known to our estate agent and solicitor that this needed to be completed by mid July due to work and potential of surgery however we’re obviously still waiting and at risk of one of us being out of action when this actually completes. I’ve had to take to gaining updates from our buyers as they’re family members. It started so well too however from the moment enquiries started and delays happened and queries ignored we’ve lost total trust in the responses we’re receiving advising things have been actioned. Considering how expensive conveyancing is we are paying to essentially chase stuff and get information from external parties ourselves

I would never use this company again and will certainly not recommend them. They made many mistakes which they admitted to, these mistakes caused many problems, a great deal of stress and frustration throughout the chain.

Extremely slow. Theyve had all information for 3 months but keep relentlessly coming back with more & more & more queries. Could have asked them in April, but waited until July. Nearly 4 months so far.
Absolute shambles.
