Beware of Huawei online store South Africa. They scammed me and the manager in Egypt admitted they were at fault but was still extremely unethical and unprofessional and dropped my call when I was still explaining myself. They are not up to South African consumer rights standards and I will be reporting this company to consumer rights council. This will be the very final purchase with Huawei
Excellent communication with Huawei Customer Service.
I have contacted Huawei customer service regarding the delivery timing, the response was fast, efficient and I am confidant It will be fast delivery. Excellent communication with Huawei Customer Service.
I’m loving the Huawei Health D2 watch
I’m loving the Huawei Health D2 watch - it’s perfect for someone like me who enjoys running, jogging, and walking. It provides a wide range of health tracking features but what I like most are the O2 and blood pressure measurements. I’m giving it a 4 stars simply because it doesn’t have a world time feature. I would need to purchase that separately, and although it seems like a minor details, also I couldn’t adjust the daylight saving time of the purchased world time. As someone who travels regularly, having a dual-time feature is important to me.

Got a very nice Huawei watch, although I know Huawei steals data.I haven't learned my lesson. In Canada you cannot install Huawei Health, the app that helps the company to steal data and... oh,yeah,to make your watch working. Stay away and do not buy Huawei if you are from Canada.
The interface is good but Google…
The interface is good but Google services literally dont exist there.. bought a huawei pura 80 and was so devasted to find out that I cant normally use any google stuff.. the camera is also average (though better than other chinese phones).
Poor products poor support
5G router : speed 30 Mbit/s. Same SIM in TP-Link router: 300 Nbit/s. Useless support. Avoit at all cost!
Fantastic & patient service with resolution of a complicated issue!
I had an issue with my wearable purchased in another country & went around in circles, trying to get it resolved. The Chat Agent was brilliant, resourceful and patient until I got my problem resolved. Many thanks!

I have Huawei Mate 20 lite and never even replaced battery yet since 7 years. No major problems still usable but I gave it to my mom 2 years ago.
Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed. I will never buy a Huawei watch again due to the complete lack of aftercare service.
No long term support for their products!
Their software and firmware support is lot shorter than any other company. They just want to make you buy newer models in at most 2 years by cutting out their support.
Genocide
This company is helping the Iranian Islamic regime stop the Internet and is complicit in genocide in Iran. Over 20000 people killed in the past 3 days.
Fraudulent, they can't process a return in Portugal, and they don't respond to livro de reclamações, which is a legal requirement
I bought and returned a watch immediately to Huawei Portugal as the strap was the wrong size. I never heard from them, I eventually followed up, there was no response for a month. I then contacted Huawei UK in desperation and they were kind enough to assist by trying themselves to contact Huawei Portugal. They were eventually able to get 1 person in Huawei Portugal to answer a phone. Then they started a conversation with me and admitted they had received the package and would issue a refund. 2 months and many unaswered request for updates later, I still have no refund. At present there is no way to speak to anyone, or get any update via email on my case issue (which has a number).
There is essentially no return function operational in Portugal, it is clearly fraudulent. If you return any product within Portugal, you will never get your money back, I promise you this.
I followed the consumer complaint process of filling out a livro de reclamações (redbook complaint), which they are obligated to respond to, but they did not after months. They rely on the fact that you will not take legal action for a case that is only in the hundreds of EUR price range.
Disappointing after-sales support for MateBook 14
I bought a Huawei MateBook 14 directly from the official Huawei online store in Poland in June 2024. The laptop was used very rarely and only in normal home conditions.
After several months, small dents appeared on the bottom case, followed later by a crack in the touchscreen. The device was not dropped or damaged by impact. My complaint was rejected, as Huawei classified the defects as mechanical damage based solely on an internal service diagnosis.
What disappointed me most was the handling of the complaint. There was no independent reassessment or attempt to resolve the issue amicably. For a laptop in this price range, I expected better durability and more customer-oriented after-sales support.
Huawei's customer service is…
Huawei's customer service is abominable. If you are set on a Huawei device I recommend not purchasing directly from them. It is telling that Huawei don't bother responding to any of these Trustpilot reviews, to me that reflects a company that does not care about customer satisfaction.
Each time I call I get asked if I want to participate in a survey. I say yes, and the survey never happens. It's all lip service.
When you call their staff are snippy and you can hear them huffing and puffing as you talk.
I bought a tablet which arrived scratched. So I raised a return. It was to be collected and they wasted my time by not organising it properly. I waited a day for a collection that never happened. It was collected the next day and then they just hang on to payment and never issue a refund. Each time you call the time frame extends.
I guess I'll have to raise a charge back on my credit card.
The huawei watch sector review.
Huawei are a bunch of cheaters when it comes to the smartwatch sector. Their watches are compatible both with most android and ios phones but will limit it by a lot of useful features. They trick people into thinking that they would get all the features while after the item arrives boom, you can no longer return the product and huawei wont even reply to your customer support. I have huawei watch gt 5 pro and huawei band 9 using it with a galaxy s23 fe. It literally sucks. If you ever want to get a smartwatch, watch from huawei, look away as you will immediately get scammed and get stripped from the features in which you paid money for.
Return gone wrong - always take pictures of the package you're sending
Most horrible experience. I returned the watch (incl. free gifts) as it didn't meet my expectations. Sent the package back with DPD. It took Huawei a month to ack that they got my return. And now they're claiming that the actual watch is missing in the returned items. Which makes no sense: why would I return the free items only if I intended to keep the watch? Now my case is under investigation and Im paying for a product I never kept.
Had a P40 pro for years
Had a P40 pro for years, even in spite of Google making problems, this phone and camera are awesome. Then brought freebuds, they sound great, the build is quality, very upmarket, like items of expensive jewellery.
And now I have the Matebook X pro, just an incredible piece of kit, I couldn't even exaggerate how good it feels and functions, with screen brightness that beats them all, at a price that should make Apple feel ashamed.

I'm giving a review for the man who put my cable in this morning in coolock. Polite, friendly, just done the job in and out even cleaned up after himself..
Their phones are cheap
Their phones are cheap, which is the big advantage! The quality is nowhere near Iphones, but it’s kinda crazy to think I’m gonna get the same quality of a $1000 phone from a $300 one. However, for this price I’m not getting just a brick to make phone calls, I’m actually enjoying using it lowkey. The camera works nice too, even though I don’t take much photos through it.
I’ve used huawei phones for years
I’ve used huawei phones for years, their camera never lets me down when I have to picture someone at a wedding or at other events. It works well even in night shots. Sometimes google serivces may lag, but overall, the quality and the price is top-notch, really underrated smartphone.
