Put my very heavy, 600 euro mattress in front of the entrance downstairs. Blocking the path of anyone walking into the building, and, because the GLS website's tracking is broken, it stood there for half an hour while I wondered how come it was permanently stuck 2 stops away. 2 stars instead of one for delivering on the correct day.

I was waiting for my parcel the whole…
I was waiting for my parcel the whole day after getting the email from GLS saying my parcel would be delivered around lunch time. 1h later after the time they said my paket would be delivered I got an email saying there was no name by the bell or the House door. This is not true! Around 4 pm my parcel was already back at the Package station. The car has no even been in my street that day.

In this particular instance the delivery driver made NO attempt to deliver despite what is stated under the tracking information. I have cameras that monitor all exit and entry points and there was no delivery driver caught on camera. Also my wife and I are always at home both being pensioners.

The worst company ever! They carry your package days long in the car but nor delivering it!!
You call the help center but no one answers.
Shittest company ever!!!!
I checked my delivery time online and it showed me between 09:30-12:00.
After 10 minutes l checked again l saw my package will come next day…

Three deliveries, three problems – drivers refuse to deliver parcels to my flat
I've now had three experiences with GLS in Germany, and every single one has been problematic.
On the first occasion, the delivery driver simply stood outside the building instead of bringing the parcel up to my fourth-floor flat. Not knowing any better at the time, I went downstairs to collect it myself. The driver was remarkably unfriendly and seemed completely uninterested in providing a proper delivery service.
The second delivery was a complete fiasco. My parcel became stuck at a distribution centre, with repeated tracking updates showing no meaningful progress. Eventually, I had to collect the parcel myself.
Today, 3 November 2026, came the third incident. The driver rang my intercom and shouted "Packet!" I politely replied, "Fourth floor, please." His response was simply "Komm runter!" ("Come down!").
I buzzed him into the building anyway, expecting him to bring the parcel upstairs. Instead, he disappeared without another word. Five minutes later, I went downstairs and discovered that he'd left a collection notice in my letterbox. Apparently, I'm now expected to travel to a parcel shop to collect something that the driver was perfectly capable of delivering to my door.
What exactly is the point of a parcel delivery service that expects customers to collect their own parcels, even when they're at home?
After three experiences like this, I'm beginning to wonder whether refusing to deliver parcels to customers' flats is effectively standard practice at GLS. I've never encountered such consistently poor service from a delivery company.
I will be avoiding GLS wherever possible in future. One star is generous.

Just a bad experience
Asked them to leave it in front of the apartment door. We have 33 families in our building. They couldn't find one person to open up the main door. The next day we were home they didn't even buzz instead claimed they were here they were not. I cannot change the option for where to leave the package, so i guess this might continue unless i intercept the GLS driver downstairs. Its his job to bring it up to the 11th floor (with an elevator) but im guessing its too much to ask for the first 10 steps. Terrible service highly

Pointless
Pointless . They do not even drive to the adress. I was sitting outside the house in garden , watching the road - no car came and just like that I got an email that delivery was impossible. Why is that ? Why do I pay delivery?? Tomorrow need to pay more for driving to take tha package. Close this company , its useless .

The absolute worst delivery service I have ever used. I’ve ordered ten packages over the last three months, and eight of them never arrived at all. I honestly don’t understand what they’re doing with them.

Worst service
This is not the first time, but I have had a worse experience with GLS; most of the time, it does not matter if you are home or not, they will drop your package far from the house. Recently, I received my mattress package opened, and when I tried to talk to the delivery person, he ignored me and just went away.
