coulnt make one call have used a varity of voice apps in the past this is the worst plus i recieved a massage saying my acount was flagged for inactivity and would be charged 1,50 per month for service tht doesnt work scam

Stay away! When I first signed up, I was delighted. Everything worked fine and the service was inexpensive. Then in ordered an additional service. They bill through Apple.com but didn’t inform me when I ordered the service. I questioned the charge through Visa and since the charge was temporarily reversed, Fongo won’t let me order services on-line. They introduced ads that block information like two-factor ID when you need the information immediately. I have been trying to contact them to pay for an upgraded service for a week now. They call back. You can’t speak with anyone. Their calls drop in seconds - on their own service. And now when I pick up, the call goes right to voicemail. Terrible.

I live abroad & got this app so I could have a Canadian phone number, specifically to be part of an important, time-sensitive family group chat. However as the only user of the app, the 'group' chat appeared as individual messages to me, so it was impossible to follow the conversation (to have an actual group chat everyone involved needs to use the app). Really frustrating & disappointing.

I also had issues when calling from abroad. Last time my call got dropped twice (I was on hold so had to phone back & wait in line again, such a waste lf time). And if you don't use your calling cedit every month (quite a short period of time in my opinion), the app will deduct $1.50 every month until you don't have any credit left.

Had Fongo for years on my old Galaxy S6.
Had an issue with the app, so tried to reinstall via Play store.
It showed "not compatible with this device".
Filed tech ticket to Fongo, they said to get it from Galaxy play.
Doesn't exist on Galaxy play!
I think they have a bunch of 16yr old kids doing their programming, while playing on their iPhones.

Don't do it.. The worst customer service on planet EARTH

it is extremely difficult to get help if you run into any issues, stay away from Fango, other wise you'll regret it.

Terrible contacts we need to speak with live agent

Very easy to set up and use.
I've had no issues in the three months I have used - have recommended to friends.

Customer support is non existent. I tried many times to contact Fongo. Only way was to initiate a customer support email. Response was that a customer service representative would be in contact with me. No one ever called. Based on a non response I initiated another email. By doing so my original support email was cancelled and rolled into a new support request and a new reference number was issued. Taking me back to square one. If they just called as per my request Fongo lost a new customer. Apparently there is no human contact.

I am no longer able to receive or send SMS messages. I could for three years and it just stopped. Says it needs to be activated by the provider and of course no answer. I’ve sent texts about my problem but still have not got anything resolved. It’s a terrible company to deal with and you never get to speak to a live person. I’m still waiting for them to activate messages for me.

I purchased a ht801 through fongo when getting their home phone service.

The ATA died within a few months and fongo refused to honor the 1 year warranty.

I reached out to what appeared to be the ceo who said they would investigate

Heard nothing from anyone

Extremely poor company

I purchased my own ATA and switched to voip.ms and now I'm very satisfied.

I receive voicemails but can never hear them
Please fix that

I was looking for a reliable VOIP provider and I GOT SCAMMED BY FONGO
First you need to Pay $25 for Porting your own phone no.
And when I emailed I need help and assistance to install and some technical support to call me, they said,
“We don’t offer phone support, you have to email us…….”
And so I asked for the refund for the $25
I said nothing in your website says anything about “NO PHONE SUPPORT, YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN”.
So then ok, I accepted I just got scammed for $25.
Then I switched to Telus and had given FONGO to port my phone no.
Then Telus said FONGO REFUSES TO PORT IT, due to some address issues.
But there was no issues.
Unfortunately, now if anyone call my business no. It’s saying not in service.
And then FONGO said we cannot help you because your phone is no longer in service. And now I have no one to talk to, since FONGO is hiding and YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN,
YOU’RE SCREWED
I WILL NOW HAVE TO CALL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES TO CRAXK DOWN ON THIS.
I THIS IS COSTING THOUSANDS OD DOLLARS, My store awning has my phone no. And customers will hear “Not in service” you cannot just change phone no. On signage, biz cards, store awnings.
So be FOREWARNED

I've been using both Fongo's home phone and internet for years. Although recently I did have major issues with my DSL connection so I made the switch to their cable service and so far it's been great even my home phone works better. Their customer service was friendly and patient as they helped me with my installation. I also believe with their lockdown pricing they can't be beat which is one of the main reasons I continue to use Fongo. I would of gave them 5 stars but their DSL connection sucks

This is an honest customer review and I am not being paid by anyone as Fongo seems to think so. Avoid Fongo. I used their online website to port a landline and they have been trying to port a cell line. I told customer service the issue and it appears they dont read. Now they threaten me with failed port charges and non refund policies. WtF? Also be aware that they have NO live agents and you are left to automation and no answers.

Avoid this company
Does not provide promised services. When I ask for support, I get form letters. They don't address my questions and concerns. They close requests for support without solving problems.
Totally useless service.

Home phone Never work

the adapter died after a month, the warranty on the adapter is only 1 month.. the service never worked properly. support is a 24/48 wait..

Support was steady days after. Too slow to service immediate need. Terrible navigation on site, leading to select wrong package for needs, double charged for porting number to mobile version (which never did go through).

One of the worse scum company that exist in Canada!
I signed up and in just few hours started to get tons of garbage calls to my other real number (the app was installed on my real phone), I moved it to my spare phone and scum calls started on the spare (no sim or any other number).
My email which I signed to their service started to get spam too (this address never got any spam since it's not in use) STAY AWAY! the authorities should shut this company down.

We can't receive the e-mail to get the password to acces to the account...they a communication compagny and they are not able to send a e-mail so we can connect...and when i call my customer it appear (spam call)
