I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise at 8154 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena, MD.
I made a reservation several days in advance for an F-150. Unfortunately, approximately one hour before my scheduled pickup time, I received a call from Brandon at the Enterprise location informing me that the vehicle could not be rented because it needed an oil change, and they didn’t have anymore trucks. I was told that they could swap me into a car, but I needed to make a decision quickly because they were about to close.

What was especially frustrating was that there was no real effort to find a suitable replacement. Brandon did not offer to search their inventory or help locate another vehicle or location, that would meet my needs.

I then called Enterprise's toll-free customer service number and was told they would search for another pickup location and get back to me. No one ever returned my call.

Fortunately, I was able to rent an SUV from Avis. The gentleman at Avis went above and beyond by actually searching their inventory to find a vehicle that would work for me. That level of customer service made the difference and highlighted how poorly Enterprise handled my reservation.

I understand that vehicles can occasionally have unexpected maintenance issues. However, canceling a reservation at the last minute without offering meaningful assistance or following through with a promised callback is unacceptable.

Horrible experience

I made an online car rental reservation on 8/24 at the Lansing IL location for 9/4 for a minivan. They called didn’t speak to me, but left me a voicemail and canceled my reservation a week later on 8/31 informing they would have that vehicle available on that day and I needed to call other locations to rebook. I then made another reservation the next day on 9/1 at the Highland Indiana location for the same day, September 4. They call the day before on September 3rd and also said they had to cancel my reservation due to they did not have the vehicle. I then contacted customer service multiple times on September 3 for assistance. I spoke to three representatives, and they all informed me the area manager will contact me and because it was their fault. The area manager would have to pull a vehicle that I needed to ensure my reservation will be met on September 4.. well needless to say I never received a call from the area manager, even though it was promised to me by three representatives that he or she will call. Worst experience .

Enterprise Car Hire Tallaght

I had such a positive experience with Enterprise Tallaght. I was dealing with unexpected car trouble and Justin and Sean made an awful situation so much easier! They were a class act.

From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, helpful and completely focused on getting me sorted. Everything was handled quickly, professionally and without any fuss.

Justin and Sean are a real credit to Enterprise Car Hire. After this experience, Enterprise will definitely be my first choice for car hire. I can't recommend them highly enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

TERRIBLE customer service!

TERRIBLE customer service!! No system to locate misplaced items and nobody at Enterprise seems to care. Rented a car and returned to the JFK airport location. Attendant checked outside of the car and took keys. Realized the next day while already out of the country my EZ Pass had been left in the car. Made several international calls to Enterprise, filled out the paperwork and received “reference number”. Requested they check the car we just returned to retrieve the Pass and EVERYONE including corporate was unhelpful and uncaring. We were told to check back in 3 days, which we did, still got nowhere. I couldn’t cancel Pass as I was out of the country and didn’t have account information. Later discovered my pass was used on GWB for a $23+ charge. Enterprise refused to trace vehicle, acknowledge the theft or accept any accountability. Once they take your money, they are uninterested. I will NEVER rent from them again.

WARNING false charges

WARNING: Random charges, sloppy admin & false billing Handed my car back at BER on July 12. Enterprise then billed my credit card an admin fee for a parking fine for a violation that occurred in Frankfurt days after I’d returned the car. No response to lots of emails. Phone support useless: Return date in their system seems to magically keep moving as convenient for them (from 12 to 13 to 16 July, different on each call). Raised Amex chargeback. Still no resolution. Definitely avoid enterprise and berlin/Germany branch in particular.

Experience with Rent A CAR Enterprise Alamo / Yes OTO Kiralama

My experience with Enterprise Alamo Trabzon was extremely disappointing from the very beginning.

The car I had originally rented was replaced with a smaller vehicle (egea vs clio), which was not suitable for my family. As a result, we were unable to travel comfortably. Despite raising this issue, I received no meaningful assistance or support.

Later, while the rental car was parked, it was hit by another vehicle. I provided Enterprise Alamo with all the necessary documents, including the accident report and all related paperwork. Even though it was clearly established that I was not at fault, I was charged €600 and was even threatened with possible legal action. Fortunately, I acted quickly and cancelled my card.

On top of this, the 16,000 TL deposit I had paid was neither refunded nor properly reflected on the invoices. Despite repeatedly requesting clarification and documentation, I was never provided with an invoice or any official proof explaining why or how the 16,000 TL had been deducted.

To make matters worse, on the day I returned the vehicle, the employee who received the car appeared to take my complaints personally and showed a dismissive and indifferent attitude.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. The lack of support, unclear charges, failure to provide proper documentation, and the unprofessional attitude I encountered have seriously damaged my trust in Enterprise Alamo.

Jordan M at DFW Airport

On 8-16-26 I rented a car from Enterprise at DFW airport. Jordan W. helped me on the rental line. She was very patient with me while I picked out the correct vehicle for my 10 day rental. I needed a specific type vehicle to use with clients, including interior and a few features. It is always nice to deal with someone that is accommodating and at all times professional. It was a pleasure having Jordan M. help me with my rental.

Renters BEWARE OF RENTING AN AUTOMOBILE FROM ENTERPRISE IN ITALY

I can't begin to explain the turmoil I have experienced with Enterprise rental - in Italy (Mestre Central Station). The first fundamental mistake I will admit to, was accepting a vehicle with pre-existing damage. When you hear people say take photos of the vehicle ( and I did) make sure you take photos of every inch of the car! Better yet - DO NOT TENT A CAR!. Trying to contact anyone, is almost impossible, and even when you have hard evidence( with photos to prove ) you are now vulnerable to them because you are now 1/2 way across the country and cannot deal with them directly. I stress DO NOT rent a from this company unless you want to ruin your vacation!

I am still waiting on Enterprise to…

I am still waiting on Enterprise to refund me based on there so called branch manager who told me it would be taken care of. I purchased a brand new Audi and had to drive to California based off my mother having a stroke. I broke down in Amarillo, Texas and this was July 4th weekend so not a lot of inventory. They were able to put me in a car with a check engine light on. We had to stay in Amarillo so three hotel rooms based on three adults trying to drive straight to Califoria. I had to turn in the Vehicle based on them saying it just needed an oil change. It was actually the whole transmission. So the next vehicle same thing check engine light on drove 28 miles and turned it in. In the mean time I am having to stay were my family was taking care of my mother. My mother was talking and then slipped in a comma. I would have been there to speak with her before all this. Getting back to the vehicles let's just say 4 vehicles 5 days broken turned in. I was refunded for the vehicles but the hotel fees I was told by supposibly the manager in Amarillo come to find out she was an assistance so I have made over 25 requests for someone to call me. This has never happened. Don't make me send you hotel receipts were I was stuck at and tell me its at finance and getting take care of when you do not have that authority. You have all the information needed. I ama 100% disabled Combat Veteran so the travel takes a toll. Customer service is horrible. Myself and company were all rewards members. That has been canceled. You dont even know who to send this information too. I have been hung up on told the manager cant talk. Unacceptable. Do not ever rent feom this company ever. You lost a customer and company. Two months and not even a courtesy call. I have even had them document that I am just looking for money or laughing at me when I call.this is crap. The family that owns Enterprise believed in helping customers. This will never happen from me again. How about you find someone that handles refunds and have them get in touch with me.

Treated like a liar in Warrenton, VA

Picking up the car was easy enough, although I felt rushed through the walk-around inspection.

When I returned the car, I was told that I had supposedly dented the roof. The alleged dent is in a location that is difficult to see unless you are standing in exactly the right position, meaning it could easily be overlooked or hidden during an inspection.

Nothing whatsoever happened while I was driving the car that could have caused damage to the roof. Despite this, I felt that I was treated as though I was lying. I gave them no reason not to believe me, and I was disappointed by the way the situation was handled. I also felt that, because I was cooperative and trusting, they may have assumed I would simply accept responsibility for damage that I did not cause.

Can not trust Enterprise anymore

Long time in the tire and auto industry. Retired as a managing partner with Bridgestone/ Firestone. Recently rented 2 vehicles. One in Aruba (04/2026)which was a great experience from beginning to end. Extremely easy pick up and drop off at airport location.. very friendly and professional.. would recommend to any one heading to Aruba. Second rental ( 7/2026) near home in Brick NJ. Rented from Rt 70, Manasquan NJ location while my truck was in body shop for 16 days. Everything was fine. Dropped vehicle off at body shop for return. Hour later called enterprise shop at Rt 70 and advised I left a clothing hanger bar hanging in back seat. Spoke to Robert and said he would secure it for me and call me. So couple days later I stopped by their shop. Robert could not find it. He said to another associate "did you see the bar " and gestured to the spot where he put it. Could not find, said he would and call me... no call for a week so I called them back. Again still can't find and advised we will call you and said is that okay?? I SAID "NO ITS NOT OK".So shame on me for leaving this in the truck and it certainly not that big of a deal( cost about $35)BUT, it was recovered. Someone probably took it from the office my quess. Leaves a bad taste and unresolved. Lack of trust from your employees.. this is shameful.. After 40 years in this business all my friends, neighbors and family always seek my advise for any car related needs. Don't think I'll be recommend Enterprise anymore..Brian Lamb ref # 4cxxqw. 07/27/26 to 08/11/26

Enterprise Makes Accusations Without Evidence

The car I rented had so little gas that the warning light flashed on some 15 minutes after I got behind the wheel. I rented the car for 24 hours, was the sole occupant, returned it to LAX and have since been receiving continuous demands for payment for damages which were non-existent. I asked for evidence in the form of date and time stamped photos and was sent undated grainy photos including one of a car window on which someone had handwritten the date. I emailed Bryan Taylor, Sr. VP of Enterprise Fleet Management and have received no reply.

I rented a car from enterprise on this…

I rented a car from enterprise on this past weekend in Memphis, Tennessee when I arrived at the car rental area, I was promptly greeted by Marcus, and he took excellent care of me. He handled all of my paperwork. Instructed me where I would pick up my car rental from and even upgraded me in the type of vehicle that I was planning to rent. I would definitely use enterprise car rental again over and over. I am so thankful that Marcus was available and there to help me even after I arrived early for the rental thank you Marcus. When I returned my car two days later I was promptly greeted by Chance, he directed me into the parking area and began to check in the vehicle as I gathered all of my possessions. Chance was also very helpful. Very knowledgeable sent me documents of my return of the vehicle and directed me to where I should go to board my flight. I had two very good experiences at enterprise both when I checked in and when I returned my rental vehicle. I look forward to visiting Memphis again soon and will definitely look for both Marcus and Chance at Enterprise.

Enterprise’s “Exotic Collection”

Enterprise’s “Exotic Collection” — Maybe “Untouchable Collection” Is a Better Name

I recently attempted to rent a Corvette from Enterprise for the weekend. I went in expecting to pay the rental fee and the required deposit, so I was caught completely off guard when I found out that these vehicles require customers to carry a very high level of insurance coverage.

The problem is, the average working American simply does not carry that level of insurance. What makes it even more frustrating is that Enterprise does not offer an insurance option that customers can purchase directly to cover these high-end vehicles.

Most rental companies that offer specialty or exotic vehicles provide some type of additional coverage that customers can purchase through the rental company. That gives customers an opportunity to enjoy the vehicle without having to maintain an unusually high level of personal insurance just for the rental.

I was especially disappointed because this was supposed to be a surprise weekend for my wife. I wanted to take her out on a nice date, stay at a high-end hotel, and enjoy the weekend with a nice Corvette. Unfortunately, that plan didn't happen.

Enterprise should changed the name of their Exotic Collection to the “Untouchable Collection.” After my experience, I honestly think that name fits perfectly. 😂

If you're going to offer Corvettes and other high-end vehicles for rent, there should be a reasonable way for customers to purchase the necessary insurance through Enterprise.

The employees were helpful and were simply following company policy, so my frustration isn't with the local staff. My issue is with the policy itself.

Hopefully Enterprise will reconsider this because I would have gladly rented the Corvette and paid for the additional coverage if that option were available.

Enterprise, make these cars accessible. Otherwise, “Untouchable Collection” may actually be the perfect name.

What a mistake to hire from Enterprise

What a mistake to hire from Enterprise, which we’ll never do again.
We hired a car in Malta and paid c£800. All they seemed to be interested in was levying extras!
We had a penalty charge advised by the authorities but instead of giving us the statutory 7 days to deal with it they threatened us us a charge and additional levy of £35 if we didn’t settle within 24 hours. This was advised by email and as we were on holidays we only just noticed it within the 24 hour notice period and in a panic paid it. When we investigated it we discovered the charge was an error and Enterprise’s
own policy flawed but we had paid!!!
We now have to follow the appeal process and all we got from Enterprise was sorry and they have now changed their policy Thanks to us!
Anyone but Enterprise!
