Chasing dead people after receiving death certificate
Spoke to this company on behalf of my Uncle to pay parking fine. tried to pay, my bank froze my account as they recognised this as a scam. My Norton account on my phone would not allow me to proceed. In the interim, my Uncle died. I phoned them and they were helpful. I sent of the death certificate as the debt died with him. Today I received a threat from them. What a scummy company. Will phone them tomorrow to see what went wrong and who was sacked. I am so upset

Tyler Turner went the extra mile to resolve my issue regarding my parking ticket. He is a true asset to your company. This ticket was paid likeI had advised it had been but due to an error your end we suffered a lot of trouble trying to get it resolved.

I told him I suffered from depression and he handled the call so well Mike was brilliant and left me at ease because I was panicking before the call.
Cloned Number Plate fines resolved
After my number plate was cloned and multiple appeals to UK Car Park Management (with a crime reference number) were ignored, I received two unpleasant letters from Debt Recovery Plus about unpaid parking fines.
Their website and letters state that 'we can't change what you owe' and that it's too late for an appeal, so I only called them to have a log of a call for when it inevitably ended up in court.
However, the call was answered by Karen M, who was empathetic and swiftly resolved the matter. She also highlighted the importance of reporting cloned plates to the police and getting a crime reference number.
I appreciate that common sense prevailed and the reduction in my stress level!
Mike was excellent
Mike was excellent, super efficient, knowledgeable.
Thanks for making easier
I've had two cases related to Debt…
I've had two cases related to Debt Recovery Plus (DRP). Both were about the Luton Airport drop-off, and I had completely opposite experiences.
The first happened two years ago. I paid the drop-off fee online, but the parking company reversed the payment from their end. I received confirmation and information from my bank's consultant that the payment had gone through, but unfortunately the parking company blamed me, saying I'd overlooked the reversal and had therefore never actually paid for the drop-off. As a result, I had to face the parking charge plus the DRP fee. No help at all.
Today, however, I had the complete opposite experience with the fantastic Ajit, a telephone negotiator who genuinely wanted to get to the bottom of my issue and support me as much as he could. My case was about my new vehicle, which I'd purchased five days before the incident — the parking tickets had been sent to the previous owner.
Ajit, thank you for your help and support.
P.S. I suppose the DRP service is a bit of a lottery — it depends on getting a good consultant and on your case not being too complicated.
Debt Recovery Plus is a greedy corporate entity that has no ethical principles, and exists purely to extract money from the public and vulnerable on behalf of other non-ethical greedy enterprises
Debt Recovery Plus claims that it is 'Ethically Focused' and that:
'We recognise the important role we take as intermediary between our clients and their customers to resolve challenging debt situations. Of equal importance is the way in which we conduct our business – ensuring our approach is always both sensitive to customers and in the best interest of clients.'
As stated by Susan Ring, DRP Group Chief Operating Officer
However, the reality is they are just a money-making corporate entity that does not have one single ethical fibre.
It is happy to serve disgusting clients including private car park operators who are poorly regulated and who's business model is designed to catch people out and then hit them with hefty fines. And then they leave DRP to do their dirty work threatening court action and bailiffs, adding their own costs on top.
It is high time the UK and Scottish governments got serious and started to reign in and clamp down on this un-regulated sector and these private entities making money out of others' suffering, where we should have proper, consistent local-authority run services instead.
We Spoke with Mark today
We Spoke with Mark today, who was a huge help. We were looking for guidance as we were left in the dark from our rental company. Thanks to Mark we have guidance for a resolution. Thanks again Mark.
Thank you Amanda
Amanda was, without doubt, the most experienced, helpful and friendly person I have spoken to at DRP.
She showed compassion and dealt with my query quickly and efficiently too.
Thank you
Junedmiah
Junedmiah, thank you so much for your amazing service. You solved in five minutes an issue that I had been trying to resolve for two months.
Tyler Turner… an angel in disguise!
My call was answered in good time by Tyler turner who was polite, upbeat and positive. With a Quick Look at my file he informed me that my case was now closed! This has been a year long upselling battle, hearing those words, I could have cried! Thank you Tyler for being the bearer of the best news I’ve had all year, it’s finally over!
Grame Nuttall spoke kindly and…
Grame Nuttall spoke kindly and reassured me that there would be an opportunity to work out a plan to sort out my debt/parking fines which had got out of hand.
He listened to me. When he called me back a few days later, he had found a solution due to the fines company not following due process. The end result was that my debt was cancelled.
Harassment At It's Finest.
At least twice now this useless company has chased me for parking "fines" that don't exist because UK CPM refuse to follow the law and take into consideration the Equality Act 2010 and refuse to overturn their charges. I appealed to the Independent Appeals Service, who agree with me that I have not violated UK CPM's rules as UK CPM have to take my disabilities into consideration. So, after winning the appeal, UK CPM still decide I owe them money and send this money grabbing debt collector after me illegally. I have tried to contact them through their contact page, but they don't listen and continue to threaten me. It's called harassment of a disabled person. They should be shut down. How the heck they managed to get 3.7 stars out of five is mind blowing.
Problem solve - stress relieved
Dealing with debt collection always feels a bit daunting, but Monica 17305721 made the process feel human again. She listened to what I had to say, helped me build an understanding and I was able to provide the correct documentation and information that resolved my case.
Wendy at Debt Recovery Plus
Wendy at Debt Recovery Plus. Has been absolutely amazing.
I returned home to a ticket that had to be paid in 28 days. I had been away for 40+! Got the letter from debt recover plus so I called. Wendy has been so helpful today and managed to get my payment down to £25.
Brilliant communication from her and swift same day solution. Thank you so much Wendy x
After I was scammed out of our car
After I was scammed out of our car, by the “Dirty oil trick” ( please look this up so it doesn’t happen to you!) the thieves took my car to Ilford and got a parking g ticket for £100, I told the company and still waiting hear, then I received a letter today from “Debt Recovery Plus” saying I am now £170 debt, for not paying even though I have the parking fine Connell the details!!
Jade who works for the debt recovery plus, was very helpful and understanding of the predicament we face, the best was written off there and then as I supplied the police reference number.
Jade was superb throughout and very helpful indeed, even apologised for what’s happened but it was her fault whatsoever.
I’d to say thank you for her attitude towards me at this distressing time
Understanding and helpful
Contacted Debt Recovery after APCOA had referred an unpaid parking fine. Jade Kinsey quickly and thoroughly understood my problem and sympathised that I had acted in complete good faith during the process. Jade referred back to APCOA on my behalf and 12 hours later the case was dropped and the fine removed. Refreshing service and a common sense outcome!
This company is utterly incompetent.
This company is utterly incompetent.
They have received multiple letters confirming that I was the driver of a parking dispute and that all post needs to be sent to me, as I take 100% full responsibility and there is no legal recourse back to my employer. They have my home address and my written confession. But this company still fails to read my letters, or does read them and the people there don't understand English. I accept its not company that is going to get a 5-star rating, but basic competence would be a good place to start for a company that deals with the public.
Great customer service received
Great customer service received. I spoke with Mike Gibson who was super polite during the call and assisted me to a positive outcome. My thanks to Mike Gibson.
