Been with Bitdefender since 14 years now. Will continue to use it. No other antivirus can beat Bitdefender. Fast detection rate, excellent call blocking protection. My computer has no slow down since I'm using their product.

Bitdefender protects my online presence and that is very important to me.

This AV is at a whole new level. Even the AI platforms consider it the best for a reason.

Bought a valid activation code. Already paid. Tried to activate it. Bitdefender then demands credit card details and a year of billing “or the software is void.”
That is not activation. That is a shakedown.
I did not buy an auto-renew subscription from them. I bought a code. Using the code I already paid for should finish the job. Instead they treat the product as incomplete until they get a card on file. A security company asking for extra financial data as the price of unlocking something you’ve already bought is a joke.
Support are not interested. No proper fix. No “activate the paid code without the card.” Just the same wall: hand over billing details or you don’t get what you paid for.
This is why people stop trusting antivirus brands. You sell “protect your data,” then you leak customer data (2015 breach, 2025 Romanian DPA fine for disclosing names and emails) and still have the nerve to demand a credit card before a paid key will work.
I will not give Bitdefender my card to unlock a licence I already purchased. I will not accept “void” as a threat. Until they activate paid codes without harvesting payment details, this is a company I would not recommend to anyone.

I am a new user on Mac. Product is well documented. Customer Service is very good and is available 24/7. Have not encountered any long wait times.

I had an issue with a renewal that occurred after I had cancelled it previously. The Customer Service person acted quickly and politely and refunded my payment. Excellent service

I have used Bitdefender for many years and have never had a security issue.
I avoid buying directly from Bitdefender as there are many cheaper options online.
I buy the 5 unit licence so that I can protect my Microsoft laptops, android phone and my partners iPhone and iPad

I have used Bitdefender for several years and have always found it an excellent product helping to protect my PC. You get regular updates to the software to cover against all new threats. As an over eighty year old person with minimum computer skills I find Bitdefender does all I want it to do. Thank you Bitdefender......

Last year my Bitdefender Total Security Individual subscription was automatically renewed for over A$145.

The same product is currently being offered for around A$80.

That is an enormous difference for effectively the same product.

What I find particularly objectionable is the way loyal existing customers can apparently be charged substantially more through automatic renewal than someone who simply goes back and checks the current price.

To me, that feels like treating existing customers with contempt. Loyalty should not mean being charged almost twice as much because a company assumes you will not notice an automatic renewal.

This is not a minor pricing difference. It is an aggressive renewal practice that has seriously damaged my trust in Bitdefender as a company.

A good product does not excuse contemptuous treatment of existing customers.

The situation is straightforward: loyal existing customers are charged almost twice the currently advertised price through automatic renewal, apparently in the hope that they will not notice or check.

Can you please let the public know why this is so, and explain why existing customers are charged substantially more than new customers for the same product through automatic renewals?

The overall product is extremely good, so I will give them five stars because I am rating their product, however their customer service and marketing team needs a complete overhaul, they could dominate the market if they could hit all three points, but they're lacking on two unfortunately. It still one of my number one choices for antivirus and security.

Generally pleased with protection on computers with the exception of difficulty setting up the password protection feature. Unable to verify that the protection that says it's installed on cell phones is actually doing anything.
