Review of Aegis D6 699E Dynamic-Oscillometric Smart Blood Pressure Watch

Review of Aegis D6 699E Dynamic-Oscillometric Smart Blood Pressure Watch

This watch has turned out to be a bad purchase. While a comparison with my standard medical blood-pressure monitoring device seems to indicate that the watch measures blood pressure accurately, I have experienced several disappointments.

- I was unable to sync the watch with many of the apps in my iPhone. A search on Google revealed that this syncing facility is available only to Android phone users, and not to iPhone users. This issue is never mentioned on the Aegis website for this model.

- I found it awkward and cumbersome to manipulate the strap (which contains the cuff for blood pressure measurement) to fasten the watch to my wrist, or to take it off.

- Blue tooth connectivity is very poor. The watch signals loss of connectivity when I move 3 m away from my phone.

- I emailed Aegis about these issues to say that I was unhappy with the purchase, and to ask about the procedure for returning the watch and claiming a refund. Aegis replied to say that they are unable to provide a full refund, and offered to refund only 10% of the price that I had paid for it. This was a surprise, because the Aegis website states that they will refund the cost of any watch if it is returned within 30 days of purchase. Nowhere does it say that this refund will be only 10%.

I would advise potential customers of Aegis watches to (a) check reviews of these watches by other customers and (b) be aware of the incorrectly stated refund policy, before making a purchasing decision.

Aegis M6 received 21 July 2026

I received my Aegis M6 on 21 July 2026. It is completely incompatible and will not pair with my Samsung S23 Ultra. I followed all troubleshooting steps provided by support at Aegis on 22 July 2026 but the issue persists. As the product is defective/not fit for purpose, I formally exercised my right to a refund Aegis's 30-day return policy. I have requested a return shipping address and authority immediately. Because the product is defect, I requested that Aegis provide a prepaid return label, which I have not yet received.

No mention of required BT version

The advertising does not mention that if you want to return the watch within 30 days you have to send the watch back to China at YOUR cost. That is EXPENSIVE! They also are lax in their advertising since they DON'T tell you that the connected cellphone needs at least Bluetooth version 5.1. That said their AI customer service is excellent in trying to satisfy the customer but unfortunately that did not work for me. I wanted a watch that worked with BT 5.0 as it did not stay connected. They refused to provide a refund even though they admitted that their advertising lacked mentioning this requirement. But they would discount the price and finally offered me a 40% refund. I refused and I therefore requested a refund from my payment provider. They came through and gave me a full refund.

Stay away from this company.

Stay away from this company.
Chinese junk. You can only return it in sealed packaging.
Otherwise, you'll have to pay for it to go to China. They'll then try to recover all the costs from you:
customs duties, user damage, research and packaging costs, etc.
They're a gang of crooks.
Save your blood pressure and don't buy from here.

Aegis and Sekoda watches are not waterproof

Aegis watches are also marketed as Sekoda watches. They are sold as a GPS Sports watch. It is not waterproof. Mine started failing in 2 weeks and totally failed in 1 month. The review by Watchlab and smartwatchrating.com should not be relied upon. Be warned.
