Ordered Excellent, Received Defective — MediaWorld Refurbished Nightmare" TCL 85P8K TV 85" TV
I ordered a TCL 85" QLED TV (85P8K) from MediaWorld's refurbished store (ricondizionati.mediaworld.it), listed under the "OOAN" grading — Excellent condition, meaning intact original packaging, main accessories present, aesthetics "like new," and fully functional.
I received the TV on August 13. Instead of the advertised "like new" condition, the product arrived with multiple serious defects:
A dent on the TV frame, which creates a visible circular distortion on the screen while watching
A missing stand leg
Several scratches on the back of the TV
Backlight bleeding visible on the screen
None of these defects were disclosed in the product listing, despite MediaWorld's own policy stating that grading defects should be disclosed upfront if they're going to be excluded from warranty coverage.
I reported the issue to MediaWorld customer service and, as requested, sent photos of the damage, my order number, and my chosen remedy (replacement with the same product). Since then — despite multiple follow-up emails (order #259283708, I have received absolutely no response. no update, no acknowledgment, and no resolution.
I paid for a premium "Excellent" grade refurbished product and received something closer to damaged/defective stock, and MediaWorld's customer service has gone completely silent despite following their exact process. Extremely disappointing experience for an 85" TV purchase.
I would strongly caution anyone considering their refurbished ("ricondizionati") store to think twice, given how unresponsive support has been once something goes wrong.
