Avoid them

Avoid them. I joined long ago thinking it would be good perks. The result is no card to use and paying 6.99 for nothing for months. I finally tried seriously to cancel instead of being lazy and paying a subscription for nothing. Sadly, you click pause and the subscription restarts. The close your account page send you to 404 pages (for the Fill Out The Account Closure Form and Contact Support). The AI chatbot never connects you to a human. I tried to find a way to speak to someone, joined the Discord, and got banned nearly immediately with a message saying I was a robot. And zero answer from my emails (just an automatic message, not even a case number). Really frustrating experience overall.

Absolute Scam

Absolute Scam. And I fell for it again, after being a customer for around 5 years now but stopped using the service a good year or two ago as it's just gone to ruin and the token price essentially went to zero. They don't even have a banking partner at the moment, which kind of renders a banking app pretty useless. Anyway I digress. Out the blue I got an email offering me essentially £100 of internal credit for returning to the product.. As well as a month of premium for 99p instead of £19.99.. Well any sane person would see this as a pretty good deal so of course I paid up. They then gave me another £100, I assume in error. So I now have £200 of pGBP. .Amazing I thought. Anyway, then I went to buy a gift card or two and realised nothing works, hasn't worked since I last used it like 18 months ago and still doesn't. So I couldn't actually buy any gift cards.. Then I find out through their Telegram chat that you can only use free credits towards like 10% of a gift card. Max. So actually even if I could buy one, I'd need to spend a grand to use £100... Mmm. ok. Then it started getting bad. So they took £4.99 out my account a few days after the 99p. Completely unsolicited and unauthorised by me. Essentially the system just charged me another month of discounted premium, but now £4.99 instead of £19.99. Well I wasn't having this, bare in mind I cannot use the product at all.. So I wrote to customer services asking for a refund and to sort it out. Average response 5 hours it said. Nearly 2 weeks now and an agent has not picked it up. In the meantime I have spoke to Curve, who were a partner of Plutus at one point, and asked them to do a charge back. In the end Curve refunded me as a goodwill gesture. But I didn't expect them to. Plutus should be refunding me. The charge is illegal. I have now had to freeze my Curve card in case this company try and take any more money. I have been thrown out their Telegram, for no reason. Blocked by the company , and CEO on twitter, for daring to question that there may actually be a problem. And on top of all of that. I cannot even get my account deleted. Because you have to email to do that, and they don't respond. So good luck.

Absolutely terrible service - no value at all. Avoid.

Absolutely terrible company. Wish I had never signed up for them. They started off reasonable but, as other have said, they kept changing all the rules and rewards for their service. Always seemed to be in their favour. So I cancelled my subscription. As a result of an error on their part, they said my subscription wasn't cancelled and have continued to take two months worth of payment. I've tried to cancel (again), but note that there seems to be no way to close the account on the system. I've raised a chargeback with my bank to try to get the money back. Awful, awful company, best avoided.

Super poor experience with Plutus

Super poor experience with Plutus, received an email about a 100PGBP bonus (currency to be used on gift cards and other services) and signed up to premium as an extra (which I didn’t have to do, and in fact if I stop subscribing the bonus disappears but wouldn’t have if I didn’t have premium, so a disadvantage for being more loyal I guess). I’ve been unable to use the bonus many times, with many app errors and specifically designed mechanisms to prevent you from spending it and to top up first (there’s no terms with the bonus requiring you to top up etc). And reached out to support weeks ago, multiple times, with no response. So at this point I’d like to say it really is a scam. I was an early adopter 3+ years ago and this has definitely gone to rubbish.
EDIT:
Leaving a review apparently gets your Plutus account suspended, I've been logged out and trying to login tells me my account is under review and to contact support.

I started using Plutus in 2024

I started using Plutus in 2024, when the platform still offered a compelling value proposition. At the time, the PLU token traded above €4, and the rewards program made sense for many users.

However, during 2025 I decided to leave the platform and sold all of my accumulated PLU. Since then, I have not actively used the service or subscribed to any paid plan.

What concerns me is that I noticed a €19.99 charge in September 2025, which was later refunded three days afterward. More recently, I was charged €9.99 despite no longer considering myself an active customer.

I have also seen multiple reports from other users claiming that removing payment methods or fully closing accounts can be difficult. While I cannot verify those claims independently, my own experience has raised concerns about how subscriptions and billing are being managed.

I have contacted Plutus and requested the immediate deletion of my account and personal data. If unauthorized charges continue, I will consider pursuing the matter through the appropriate consumer protection and payment dispute channels.

As a former supporter of the project, it is disappointing to see how far it has declined. The PLU token has fallen from over €4 to around €0.14, and many long-term users who invested heavily in staking tiers or premium cards have seen the value of their investment collapse.

Based on my experience, I can no longer recommend the service.

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS! Stay away from this. I had an account here a year or more ago, since then I deleted the account… unfortunately I used my card there once and out of nowhere they charged my card now €19.99 for a subscription, had no subscription active when I deleted my account. Of course support is not answering

Fraudulent billing, for a second time

As other people are reporting I also was billed for a subscription I didn't ask for, for a second time and after I asked, one year ago, for them to close my account permanently, which they told they did. I am leaving this review, contacting my country's Consumer Association hoping in a class action and reporting them to the police

Huge disappointment and waste of your time

They tried to charge my card for £6.99 without my authorisation after a year since I stopped using them. I don’t have any active plan or subscrition. Luckily Revolut blocked the payment due to suspicious and fraudulent activity.

Stay away from this company. They don’t know how to successfully run a business to offer a good product and make revenue so they constantly keep changing rules to benefit them and if they wrong or disappoint their customers as a result, they shift the blame to the customer and argue with them. Incredibly incompetent and don’t have your best interests at heart. I briefly worked for this company and had a horrible and stressful experience and don’t want anything to do with them anymore.

Scammer

Scammer! They just stole 6,99€ from me because they made a mistake! "You previously selected the Starter plan on Plutus. Due to a billing system issue, your subscription payment was not processed. Your plan selection has remained active throughout."

That was over a year ago after they sent me this message: "As previously communicated, we will be terminating your Plutus account and access to our services."

Terrible company

Terrible company. I had 2 free withdrawals but I was charged for them. Took them over 6 months to still stand their ground in that their charges were legitimate as (they said) the charges was shown before I clicked the proceed bottom. This was not true as I would not have withdrawn when both sets of charges were more than 50% of the withdrawn amount, not to mention that I have free withdrawals.

Then they could not provide the new cards after they changed suppliers for months, with no responses or updates.

After I cancelled my sub, they still attempted to take a sub fee after 3 months! Lucky I cancelled my card.

Problem with such companies is that they promised so much. It is not a simple case of me just cancelling and moving on. I have had to buy their tokens to get the perks and move up levels. Then also pay the sub to get the cards. As their level of service dropped, their tokens value dropped. So many like me are holding a bag of their worthless tokens as they get worse as a platform.

Very disappointed and lost quite a bit of money.
