Caroline helped with the detailed design of my shelves, which included a TV recess. She made sure that we had agreed the technical aspects of the design so that the weight of the bookshelf over the recess was properly supported.

Measurements were off on one component of small custom cabinet. I sent photos and detailed explanation. Severe push back and refusal to correct the problem when I asked to only replace one part. Would not recommend based on my experience.

After taking around 6 months to fulfil my £4.5k order for three items of furniture, the items arrived badly damaged and different to the designs I paid for.

I emailed their team the following day who have outright refused to refund me. It’s worth noting that they have attempted to gaslight me in the process, even when I supplied them with lots of photographic evidence. After multiple emails, I have now had to escalate this mess to my credit card supplier.

I would strongly advise against using this company.

I would have loved to write something good about this - but unfortunately we were extremely disappointed by the service they offered. We ordered a custom made bookshelf, when we received it, one of the pieces was unfortunately a little bit too thick. That would have been completely fine, if it wasn’t for the poor service we received after. We didn’t get a lot of help to try to diagnose what the problem was in the first place, and eventually it took 3 months of back and forth messages to get confirmation of what the problem was. The new part was finally delivered 4 months after we received the shelf in the first place. As a “sorry” they were able to offer 10% discount on assembly service, a complete joke.

I actively love the concept of my bespoke bookcases.

And I accept that it take time to make bespoke products (July to October 24).

But the packaging used by the supplier was insufficient to protect the oak furniture I had ordered. It was severely damaged in transit. The receiving UK delivery company flagged the damage to Pickawood before delivery in October and I was promised prompt replacement of parts.

They were listed by their assembler. Then queried by aftersales (though why I would know better than the person they employed, I don't know.)

I have just (February 2025) had the replacement new parts delivered and had the bookcases reassembled. To do this, the 3 large bookcases had to be emptied again and taken apart once more to have the new parts fitted. Not a small job.

But then not all the replacements for broken parts had been sent, even though a list had been provided by their assembler. I was asked again to supply the list that Pickawood had had from their contractor since November...

Faced with going through all this again, I accepted a small part refund rather than go through the whole process again. My bookcases are now propped up on temporary feet. For life.

It could have been so good. But sadly because of failure to package the good quality product effectively, the whole experience has been poor. I can't recommend taking the risk

Stellar support, great quality product and attention to deal, just a warning to future customers that I would rate the quality as ikea+ rather than something more premium. Overall very satisfied however

Needed a cutout for my customised shelving unit and Caroline was very helpful to address me to the right choice.

They answered my query promptly and provided the documentation needed for me to prepare the area for my new furniture - exciting.

The process was very good as all the details of the requirements were obtained and checked. I hope the product when delivered and fitted meets expectation.

I spoke a number of times to tseard van Der meulen of pickawood about the design of my hanging wall unit and he was so helpful it made my experience very easy to understand the process of what was doing so would just like to say thanks to pickawood

Fantastic service from Pickawood.
Design stage was superb thanks to their brilliant website. You can keep configuring till you get it right. Then short phone consultation to check all was ok. Placed order, paid by bank transfer to save a bit of money.
Wait time was app 14 weeks as expected, but delivery took place today (great service from BJS) and all was exactly as expected. Great packaging. No damage whatsoever.
Assembly was no problem, and the quality truly is fabulous. You’d struggle to find that kind of quality in the UK.
Expensive furniture, but worth every penny, and you get what you pay for.

Item comes flat pack but the build quality is amazing and instructions easy to follow. Far superior to normal flat pack.

Packaging ensures the item arrives perfect. Not even a scratch. They make sure it will survive the odd bump in transit.

Not the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for.

I made 3 orders the last 12 months, the first 2 was ok, I had a problem with the 3rd one... the order was +3000.-... I have open up ticket and they never reconize the problem... after 6 months of exchanges they offer me a vaucher of 200Euro on the next order... Those people are just bad and they have no respect about a fair cusotmer. Don't work with them, because if semothing goes wrong you will never get support and something from them !

i had some good responses and help offered when was not able to move forward with designing my furniture. I had help and support to accommodate my asks.

In the design stage, they were very responsive to, and patient with, my endless questions. Their advice was invaluable.
