Coming From a Long Time Buyer

i’ve been buying from P&CO since about 2016/2017, and their clothing has always been high quality. they’re the kind of brand where i’ll spoil myself with an expensive, but high quality, garment from their store every now and then, and i’m never disappointed. their aesthetic is charming, and they’ve been committed to it the entire time i’ve known their brand.
I wanted to take a look at their trust pilot out of curiosity and tbh, i’m very surprised at the ratings. at reading some of the negative reviews, i can’t help but want to jump in with a little bit of defense, as well as advice from a long time buyer.

Refund Charges: one of the first things i unfortunately realized as a US buyer buying from websites outside of the US is that returns are going to be pricey. with some domestic stores, i’d buy two sizes of the same product, try them on once arrived, and return the one that didn’t fit. I tried that once with P&CO and then never again lol i gave the size that didn’t fit away to a friend since there was no point in paying the return fee. however, this is just how a majority of companies from overseas handle their return business, and i think it’s a bit unfair to blame P&CO for overseas costs an indie company cannot control. i’ve stopped ordering from a pretty big Australian brand because the risk in getting the wrong size wasn’t worth the potential cost of making a return, which was really hefty. it’s unfortunate, but P&CO is not the only overseas (indie or not) company i’ve experienced who have a pricey return policy (especially now with US tariffs). but, luckily for the US, i know they came out with a domestic warehouse which helps make the whole process (shipping, returns, exchanges) waaaay quicker. sorry to other countries like Canada tho, idk if y’all have one :/ but if you don’t, thats likely why the process is so pricey.

i did recently make an exchange with them a couple years ago which ended up being very cheap for overseas ($15 iirc?). I also dealt with a parcel mix-up back in June this year, and customer service was so attentive and communicative, they responded back within the day and were able to set things right so fast it felt it felt like i was chatting with customer service in Messenger, not sending emails back and forth lol
if you want to order from P&CO and do not live in the UK, then i’d suggest being confident in your sizing and knowing who you’re ordering from. buying online is always risky in regards to sizing because the fitting room to try on the clothes will be your bedroom, so you won’t know how it fits until you’ve already bought it. and it sucks that the returns fees have soured people’s experience with the brand so much. i’ll be giving some tips i’ve picked up on over the years;

Discount Tips: signing up for the P&CO rewards program is the best thing ever. points rack up fast because their stuff ain’t cheap, and they’re always sending special discount codes, offers, and early dibs on sales to people signed up for emails. and things go on sale alllll the time. plus, their little postcards and newspaper-esque catalogues are always such cool little add-ons in the mail!

Sizing Advice (US American perspective, Men’s): their t-shirts are on the more slim-fit side with a relaxed collar, unless the description mentions a boxy fit. so if you want something fitted, your usual size will be fine. for something looser, size up. their sleeves also tend to be fitted as well. their pants are on the larger side (not sure if this is a UK thing?) and as a waist size 32W in Levi’s, i always order a 30W from them. “Short” is 30L and “Regular” is 32L. remember, this is a UK store meaning their clothes are meant to fit the average tall and lean UK man lol keep that perspective in mind when ordering. if your height is 5’7” and below, i wouldn’t order any button-up top bigger than a size Small (unless you want that very oversized fit, but keep in mind that it’ll still be pretty long). i can’t comment on any of their jackets because those are always out of my price range.

P&CO is a brand I trust so much its without question. to me, buying from them is like buying from Levi’s. i know what quality i’ll be getting, and i know they're legit. i’m surprised by the ratings, and accusations of it being a scam. scams don’t send customers photoshoot postcards and cool newspaper anniversary BTS clippings lol but hopefully those ratings can go up with time because if there is any indie brand out there who deserves the 5-stars, it’s P&CO. especially these days with all those corporate slop sites and shein drop-shipping bs, it’s nice knowing there are still real people with real passion behind the brand (:

Looks Cool Online I Guess

Ordered two denim jackets to try on. Products were very low quality finish/material, so I decided to return them. You need to pay an absurd amount of money to return products to this company, have never heard of this before...

May be a scam website

May be a scam website? Spent $350+ on jackets and pants but never received it and sent multiple emails to ask them about it or refund. They responded twice and escalated to their manager but no one ever got back, been waiting since 13 Aug 2026 but ordered in July 2026. Very very disappointed especially given how much I’ve spent and lack of replies or urgency.

Great experience as always

Great experience as always, the clothes are wonderful and even sweeter when they are on sale! Having a loyalty program is the icing on the cake, and the customer service team are top if you have any queries. Great stuff!

Love this brand! Quality and design and customer service is all on point!

I’ve been buying from this company for years and have never had a problem. Returns have always been straightforward, and the quality of the clothes is exceptional for the price. The designs are exactly my style, and I genuinely love what they’re doing.

I almost don’t want to write this review because they’re such a hidden gem, but they absolutely deserve the praise. Highly recommended!

Ordered the Albion Straight Fit chinos…

Ordered the Albion Straight Fit chinos as a first-time customer, shipped to Canada with significant import duties on top. The main waist button, the tack button, separated cleanly from its rivet after only a few months of normal wear. When I reached out, I was told faults can’t be assessed past six months and was advised to get it repaired locally. I followed up asking only for the matching branded button hardware so a tailor could fit it properly, plus any small goodwill given the duties, and got no response at all. The cloth and fit are genuinely nice, but a main button failing this early on a premium pair, followed by silence on a very reasonable request, is a poor first impression.

Ignored by customer service

My parcel wasn't delivered and I was told I had to go through P&Co, I've messaged them numerous times and they have just ignored me. So now I am without the payment and a jumper. On top of previously buying an XL and a Medium top was sent then when I went to exchange the XL was sold out.

I've not had the best customer experience the past few times

Smelly denim junk

Got P&Co’s denim jacket. Had a distinct chemical smell, kind of like a really bad breath, and just felt like a very poorly made jacket. Returned it and got another one almost equally as bad. Tried to wash and air it out, without much luck. Considered keeping it due to all the trouble sending it back with FedEx. Then I noticed a hole next to the pocket.

Customer service was quick to respond, very helpful and super nice. Got a full refund and got to keep the damaged jacket. Tried washing it again in a final attempt to get the smell out. After a large hole had ripped open in the front of the jacket.

This has made me label P&Co as junk. It could be that I was unlucky, but I doubt it. The selling points of «conscious living» and «supreme quality» certainly does not match up with reality. I feel ashamed to have fallen for the extensive social media marketing and men's wear influencer collabs without doing much research.

The experience feeds into my conclusion that the clothing industry is severely broken.

Brand to aviod

Brand to aviod! I placed an order for over 600 euros two months ago and never received it! I've filed all the necessary complaints, but the brand still hasn't refunded me after TWO MOUNTHS and is still holding onto my money!

Had an issue with everything.

Had an issue with. an order. Completely ghosted. Not a single reply anywhere I tried to get in touch. Quite simply the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any company. Steer well clear. Be warned.

Lovely shop well set out

Lovely shop well set out. The staff are amazing. It was nice to talk to someone whilst you are paying, rather than forced manners I have experienced in other stores. I am very happy with my denim blouse, really good quality and design.
