Great tool!…

Great tool!
I am very grateful and appreciate the possibility of using "Smallpdf", which helps me a lot in doing my job. I have been using it for the past several months of 2026 and I find the use of "Smallpdf" simple, easy, practical, fast, efficient and I would recommend it to everyone.

Unfair hidden charge / Refused refund

I am writing to file a formal and final contestation regarding the unauthorized, hidden automatic renewal charge of $144 forced onto my credit card without my active, explicit prior consent.

I have already attempted to resolve this with your frontline customer support, but my reasonable request was met with hostile stonewalling, boilerplate scripts, and an outright refusal to cooperate. Let it be explicitly clear: I have ZERO usage of any premium or paid features during this current billing cycle. No services have been rendered, received, or utilized.

Your practice of deploying deceptive dark patterns to trap dormant users into high-fee annual subscriptions, followed by withholding funds for services never used, constitutes predatory billing and unjust enrichment.

Be advised that a formal consumer fraud file has already been registered against Smallpdf AG with the regulatory enforcement authorities, including the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in Switzerland and the Consumer Protection Bureau (OPC) in Quebec, Canada, alongside an active legal chargeback dispute initiated through my card issuer.
