Mintos is a great company

Mintos is a great company. I like all the services I use from them: loans, bonds, and ETFs. It takes a minute—or maybe even less—to transfer money from Mintos to my account. The low fees were the deciding factor for me personally. I recommend it to anyone interested in investing.

Mintos asks illegal info or blocks your funds and account

Mintos is offering a great scale of products that are relatively safe.
At the other hand, they ask you for a lot of personal information, like full bank statement from over many months of all your transactions. If you do not provide this, as they wish, they block your funds and account by goodwill. The worst part is when they claim it to be regulations they have to follow, without any choice. As per regulations, you can easiliy find out what kind of lists you need to fill in and what info you need to provide. This surely does not include insight on all your daily transactions to be sent to a random worker and the whole company. Please also ready in their rules, what they can do with your info and how long they can keep on to it. Realize, that data is gold....Also compare to platfroms, regulated or non regulated like, Iuvo, Peerberry, InRento, Nectaro..... and realise, what they ask is illegal.

Hi Nikolaus,

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand the frustration that delays can cause.

We'd like to clarify that our platform provides investors with the information, tools, and disclosures needed to evaluate opportunities — investment decisions and the associated risk are based on each investor's own due diligence and risk appetite, which is standard practice in the industry. That said, we're always working to make our risk information and communication as clear and accessible as possible, and we welcome feedback on where that could improve.

Regarding the payout delays, we'd like to look into your specific situation. Please contact our support team so we can investigate and follow up with you directly.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Mintos does not respect their buyback guarantees on loans

Mintos also offer some loans with a buyback guarantee. I invested 500 euros in a loan of 22 days in KZT in January 2026 to test the Mintos platform. At expiry date, no money is paid. Despite a loan with a buyback guaranty of 60 days is still not paid back in March 2026; in March, their customer service answered me that I still can resell this loan on the secondary market at a discount (and loose all interests at 22% generated); in April, we received some information the loan is being collected; in May, we received notice that the repayment system is not working due to some upgrades; in June, we received notice that some Mintos Finance division had financial problem; we are at the end of July and still no money or buyback done !!!

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed timeline. This doesn't sound like the outcome you should be seeing with a buyback obligation.

Buyback obligations are fulfilled by the lending company itself, not by Mintos directly. They're designed to protect investors if a borrower defaults, but they don't eliminate risk entirely — if a lending company faces financial or liquidity difficulties, it can delay its ability to meet that obligation, and the case can move into a longer recovery process.

We'd like to understand exactly what's happened in your case. Please reach out to support team. We'll look into the specifics and follow up directly.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your concerns.

We'd like to clarify: payments paused because the UK law firms behind these loans suspended repayments during an ongoing SRA solvency review, and the underlying claims are taking longer to resolve than expected. Regular updates are posted on your investor account.

Restructuring discussions with the relevant parties are ongoing. We can't share terms or a timeline until an agreement is finalized.

One positive development: a UK court has ruled to allow similar consumer claims to be processed together rather than individually — a helpful shift in the legal process behind these claims, though it doesn't change payment timing.

We'll keep posting updates as soon as there is new information to share.

Opacity, poor risk criteria, and years of inaction on defaulting loans

Every investment carries risk — I understand that and accept it fully. What I don't accept is a platform that combines poor due diligence with years of opacity and inaction when things go wrong.

The rating problem: Mintos awarded top A++ ratings to loan providers from high-risk markets (Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, among others) and included them in so-called "Conservative" portfolios. When Wowwo (Turkey) collapsed and the Russian invasion of Ukraine took down providers like Kviku, investors in "conservative" strategies suffered significant losses. Other platforms I use applied far more rigorous and accurate risk criteria to the same providers and markets.

The real problem: how Mintos handles defaults. Years have passed and the lack of transparency, meaningful communication, and tangible progress is striking. Other platforms operating in similar situations have reached agreements — imperfect but real — that returned at least partial value to investors. Mintos has demonstrated neither the capability nor the willingness to do the same.
To date I have lost +€15,000. Not because markets moved against me — because a platform I trusted to apply serious criteria didn't, and then failed to act professionally when the consequences arrived.

There are serious, transparent alternatives out there. IBKR, Peerberry, and others. If you value your capital and expect basic accountability from a platform, look elsewhere.

Dear Ignacio,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience with Mintos has not met your expectations.

We understand how frustrating it is when recovery processes take significantly longer than anticipated. Recovering funds from defaulted lending companies can be a complex process, often involving negotiations, legal proceedings, and enforcement actions across multiple jurisdictions. As a result, these processes may take considerable time. However, please be assured that we continue to pursue all feasible avenues to maximize recoveries for investors.

Transparency is fundamental to us at Mintos. We provide regular updates on recovery cases in investors' Mintos accounts, including the actions taken, the current status of each case, and any new developments as they become available. Our goal is to keep investors informed throughout the recovery process.

We appreciate your feedback and understand your disappointment. Please know that we remain committed to acting in the best interests of our investors and pursuing recoveries wherever possible.

Was solid for some time — then 15 weeks of zero payment with no real answers

I've invested in Nera Capital Notes through Mintos for a while, and honestly it was one of the better-rated products on the platform — steady payments, good track record, no complaints. That's part of why the last few months have been so jarring.

Zero payments since March 26, 2026, interest or principal. Mintos confirms over €61M is affected across investors, the biggest default in the platform's history — and admits it can't independently verify the SRA review it blames this on, since that's all coming from the law firms themselves.

The restructuring deal has been "final stage" since mid-June and still isn't signed. Nobody's buying these notes on the secondary market even at 30% off.
Not saying it's fraud — just that something this well-regarded going this quiet, this fast, is worth knowing before you invest.

Will update if the situation changes.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for laying out your experience so clearly. We understand how difficult an extended period without payment is, particularly on a product that had been performing steadily.
The delay reflects two connected factors: an industry-wide SRA solvency review affecting the UK law firms funded through the Nera Notes, which led those firms to pause payments at the end of March, and a broader lengthening of the underlying case-resolution timeline.

On restructuring: discussions with the parties involved are ongoing, and we're not yet able to disclose specific terms. We'll share details once the relevant documentation is finalized.
There has been one positive development worth flagging: a UK court recently ruled on a procedural matter allowing large groups of similar consumer claims to proceed together through a streamlined process, rather than each requiring separate proceedings. This should help reduce complexity and support the more efficient progress of claims of this type. You can read Nera Capital's full statement on the ruling here: https://neracapital.com/press-release/angel-v-black-horse-a-landmark-step-forward-for-collective-consumer-redress/.

The responsibility to provide clear, timely information sits with us. We continue to post updates in the community when there is something material to report - and will do so until this is resolved. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Mintos is a good platform to have…

Mintos is a good platform to have access to multiple investments products, like loans, bonds, ETF, real estate, money market and crypto. The platform started its business with loans which is an investment class difficult to find with traditional banks. However, the companies offering loans have often various problems, which in turns significantly reduces the Net Annual Return.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I am using the Core Loan service, and from day one, I noticed that payment delays from some lending companies kept increasing. For this reason, I decided to pause my investment, sell my assets on the secondary market, and withdraw the funds to my bank account. It was then that I discovered that notes with payment delays cannot be sold. Fortunately, I realized this early on because, as I mentioned, defaults kept growing. Had I waited a few more weeks, all my money would have been trapped in an investment where repayment is uncertain, if not non-existent.As a result, I started investigating what was happening and concluded that Mintos' risk ratings are heavily inflated. What the platform rates as an 8 is, in reality, a barely passing 5. Furthermore, when a rating drops below 5, they take the liberty of labeling it as "N/A" (Not Available), as rating an entity below that score would generate bad publicity and is not in their interest. After two months of investing an initial capital of €1,550, I am currently in the process of recovering most of my money (the part that is not in default). However, to achieve this, I had to sell my notes on the secondary market with an average discount of 3%. If I add to this the funds trapped in delays that I cannot sell (around €45), the math breaks down as follows:Initial investment: €1,550 which, with a 9.8% interest rate, grew to €1,568 (after two months and deducting capital gains taxes).Locked capital: €45 trapped in delayed notes. This left an available balance for sale of €1,523.Sale outcome: After applying discounts to liquidate the assets quickly, the actual amount reaching my bank account is €1,475.In the best-case scenario, if I am lucky enough to recover the locked €45, the total will amount to €1,522. This means my time on the platform will have cost me a loss of €30 in the best-case scenario and €75 in the worst, which equals a negative return of -2% and -5% respectively. No one can guarantee that if I had left the money there for years, I would have recovered the entire investment along with interest. However, seeing that defaults kept rising and that, specifically, one of the entities has not paid investors since 2023, I highly doubt that payment will ever materialize. The lost opportunity cost has been massive. Therefore, I join the complaints of many other users who report the same issue and advise staying away from Mintos. They are an entity that advertises high-risk products by masking them under a rating system that does not reflect reality at all, acting in a misleading way toward their clients. Legally, they stick to the fine print, but unfortunately, this structure is so well-polished that it causes losses even for people with financial knowledge.
