Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 47 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many consumers frequently complained about poor food quality, mentioning cold meals, missing ingredients, unappealing textures, and entirely incorrect items received during visits. Reviewers also experienced deeply frustrating service from staff members who appeared unhelpful, dismissive, and argumentative when handling simple requests. Some people were satisfied with the fast service and friendly staff working hard to deliver decent food during busy times. These individuals occasionally appreciated specific menu options when orders were handled properly and matched their expectations perfectly. However, regular visitors still felt let down by recurring operational problems and inconsistent preparation across multiple locations.

McDonald’s has completely lost touch…

McDonald’s has completely lost touch with what customers used to pay for. Everything is overpriced, watered‑down, and feels like corporate “environmental” theater instead of actual quality. I recently grabbed a hot fudge sundae for someone. Remember when it came with real fudge, real nuts, and an actual spoon? Now it’s a sad paper cup with who‑knows‑what at the bottom, no nuts, and a wooden spoon that feels awful to use. Let's eat ice cream with a tongue depressor. The texture alone is enough to give you splinters and goosebumps.

And for what? This forced “no plastic” propaganda that half the world isn’t even following. If McDonald’s is so committed to the paper‑everything fantasy, maybe they should replace the chairs and tables with cardboard too. The ice cream isn’t even real ice cream anymore, just cheap, flavorless filler.

People need to stop buying this garbage. McDonald’s isn’t selling food; they’re selling overpriced, low‑quality nonsense wrapped in fake eco‑virtue.

Terrible service Rude Rude Rude

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my experience at your restaurant at approximately 5:55 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026.

I used the drive-thru and received what I can only describe as very poor customer service. The manager working the drive-thru was rude, repeatedly interrupted me while I was speaking, and seemed unable to accurately process a very simple order.

My order was:

Hash Brown
Small Coke
Sausage McMuffin without egg

I clearly stated that I wanted a Sausage McMuffin without egg, yet I was repeatedly asked if I wanted egg on the sandwich. The conversation went something like this:

"You want egg?"
"No."
"That's a Sausage McMuffin with Egg."
"No egg."
"Okay, what is your drink?"
"Small Coke."
"Okay, that's a Hash Brown, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, and a Coke."

At that point, I again had to correct the order and explain that I did not want egg. Despite clarifying this multiple times, I ultimately received the wrong items.

What concerns me most is not just the incorrect order, but the lack of professionalism and poor customer service. Being interrupted, having to repeat a simple order several times, and still receiving the wrong food made for a very frustrating experience.

I believe customers should be treated with courtesy and respect, and orders should be listened to carefully, especially when they are as straightforward as this one.

A Transcendent McDonald’s Experience…

A Transcendent McDonald’s Experience That Redefined My Expectations of Fast Food

I am awarding McDonald’s a full, radiant, unapologetic five stars, and honestly, if the rating system allowed it, I would go higher. My recent visit wasn’t just a meal — it was a journey, a culinary pilgrimage, an emotional arc with a beginning, middle, and triumphant golden‑arched finale.

From the moment I stepped inside, I felt enveloped in an atmosphere that can only be described as comfortingly iconic. The warm glow of the menu boards, the familiar scent of fries drifting through the air, the soft hum of the kitchen — it all came together like a symphony of nostalgia and anticipation.

🍔The Food: A Masterclass in Consistency
Let’s talk about the Big Mac. This wasn’t just a burger. This was a monument. The layers were stacked with architectural precision — bun, sauce, lettuce, cheese, patty, bun, patty, bun — each element contributing to a harmony that has stood the test of time. The special sauce tasted like it had been crafted by someone who woke up that morning determined to make the world a better place.

The fries? Golden. Crisp. Warm. The exact texture that makes you think, “Yes, this is why humanity invented potatoes.”

My drink was filled to the absolute brim with ice and soda, a perfect ratio that made every sip feel like a tiny celebration.
🏃‍♂️ The Service: Swift, Efficient, and Surprisingly Charming**
The staff moved with the confidence of people who know they’re keeping the world running. My order was taken with a smile that felt genuine, not forced. The food arrived quickly — not rushed, not sloppy, but with the kind of speed that says, “We respect your hunger.”

✨The Atmosphere: Comfort in Its Purest Form**
McDonald’s has mastered the art of being exactly what you need it to be. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, meeting a friend, or simply seeking refuge from the chaos of the outside world, it delivers. The seating was clean, the lighting was gentle, and the overall vibe was that perfect blend of casual and familiar.

🏆 The Overall Experience: Legendary
I left feeling satisfied, comforted, and oddly inspired. McDonald’s doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not — and that honesty is part of its magic. It shows up, every day, for millions of people, delivering the same reliable joy it has for decades.

If you’re looking for a place that understands consistency, nostalgia, and the simple pleasure of a well‑made burger and fries, McDonald’s is — and always has been — the gold standard.

**Five stars. Easily. Unequivocally. Proudly.**

I forgot my wallet and I go to the McDonalds on Avenue Road. They said that since I was a regular customer my order would be free since I had no funds with me I said I would come back later and reimburse them. When I went back to pay they wouldn’t take the money they said it was complimentary
I was very touched by there generosity and love McDonalds.

I go to McDonald’s about once every six…

I go to McDonald’s about once every six months to see if it’s gotten any better and it never disappoints. It never gets better. I go for decaf coffee and breakfast. The decaf is NEVER FRESH and so bitter I couldn’t drink it. I make a point of asking and offering to wait. I work before any other place in town is open. The food is heat rack garbage. Shouldn’t it be freshly made at 4:30 am? There’s no rush at that time for which they need to prepare. The most consistently bad food and drink of any Mc Donald’s I’ve frequented. (Greenwood, NS)

No ice cream.

Went to McDonald’s, starving wanting a large fry and a caramel sundae, but later found out when we got there that the ice cream machine was not working so we had to improvise and get a refresher refresher was not sweet at all and there was only four strawberries in the whole inclusion would give one, but fries were salty and I enjoy that well I asked what happened to the ice cream. The worker was rude and only said “ I don’t know “ in a rude tone. Wish for better luck next time.

Save your taste buds and dont go there

We waited for 10 minutes at least , the worker was very slow and she was rude . After placing our order, it took 15 minutes to prepare it even if there was no otger client at the McDonald's and our order was small really small. Also, the one drink we took tasted like chemicals.

Worst experience ever!

First of all I order a spicy habanero combo no lettuce poutine instead of fries. They basically gave me a junior chicken but just slapped some habanero sauce on it but they barely but any sauce. Second they poutine had HAIR in it! Worst experience ever. Never go to the McDonalds near Costco in Markham. The only perfect thing was the drink.

Bait-and-Switch on Promo Items & Terrible Service

I’m incredibly disappointed with the experience I had ordering from this McDonald's location via Uber Eats. I specifically ordered the heavily advertised, limited-edition K-Pop Demon Hunters meal because I wanted the Ramyeon McShaker fries. Instead of the promotional item I paid a premium for, the restaurant just threw standard, plain fries into the bag. It was missing the special seasoning packet and the shaker bag entirely. It felt like a complete bait-and-switch.

To make matters worse, when I tried to get this corrected through the app, Uber Support made me wait 10 HOURS for a response. They then demanded new photos of the food (who keeps cold fast food sitting on their counter for half a day waiting for support?) and flat-out denied my refund. They claimed the regular fries "matched" the specialty item I ordered, which is objectively false. I tried to reopen the chat, to which they responded :
"After looking into this order and the information provided it was determined that the delivery matches the order Therefore this order can't be refunded." I had already explained that they gave me regular fries. The packaging for chicken nuggets wasn't even in the KPop Demon Hunters boxes - like the ones in photos that were "signed."

It’s incredibly disappointing when a location markets a limited-edition collaboration but doesn't actually fulfill the order correctly, and then the delivery partner hides behind terrible, automated support to deny a fix. If you are ordering specialty or promo items from here, be warned: if they leave out the most important parts of your order, no one will help you get your money back.
