Avoid. Ignored emails, wrong size sent, refund only after Klarna, fee deducted
I strongly advise caution when ordering from Moda di Andrea.
I ordered a Philipp Plein jacket in size M but received size L. I immediately contacted customer support and sent follow-up emails and no response at all. I was ignored for weeks.
The only reason this issue got resolved was because I opened a case with Klarna. Only then did Moda di Andrea reply, claiming they had “not seen my previous emails,” and finally provided a return label.
After returning the jacket, I was refunded, but they still deducted €22 shipping costs, even though the wrong size was sent to me and the entire return was caused by their mistake.
This was a frustrating experience:
• wrong item/size shipped
• customer service ignores emails
• refund only after escalation (Klarna)
• shipping costs deducted despite seller error
I lost trust in this store. I’m posting this review to warn other customers.
UPDATE (in response to the company’s public reply):
Thank you for your response.
For accuracy, I would like to clarify the facts:
1. I contacted you on November 10 immediately after delivery regarding the incorrect size and sent a follow-up message afterwards due to the lack of a clear resolution.
2. The central issue remains that you shipped a different size (L) instead of the ordered size (M) without my prior consent. Any internal “recommendation” does not change the basic requirement that customers receive exactly what was ordered unless an explicit agreement is made in advance.
3. You acknowledge that a relevant message was “not seen”. From the customer’s perspective, this results in uncertainty and the risk of return/exchange deadlines expiring.
4. The Klarna case was opened solely to ensure the matter was handled within a protected framework and to prevent the loss of consumer rights due to delayed or missing communication.
I acknowledge that the refund has now been completed (including the refunded deducted fee). This does not change the reason for the review: the combination of an unauthorized size change and inadequate follow-up communication, with effective action only after escalation via the payment provider.
This review reflects my experience and is intended to inform other customers.

We would like to provide factual clarification regarding this situation.
The order was placed and shipped on November 5 via DHL Express, and delivered on November 10. Upon receipt, you contacted us on November 10 to report that the size did not fit and to request an exchange. We replied to your first two messages the same day.
Regarding the size sent: this model runs extremely small, which is consistent feedback from our customers. In order to provide the best possible shopping experience, we therefore shipped a size L instead of the originally ordered M, as this is the size generally recommended for this specific model.
Nevertheless, we fully respected your preference and immediately offered either an exchange or a refund. You then requested a size S.
Unfortunately, this last message was not seen, which we acknowledge as an oversight. However, we would like to clarify that no follow-up was made after your message of November 10—no additional emails, WhatsApp messages, or phone calls—before a case was opened directly with the payment provider.
We receive hundreds of customer messages daily, and this omission was in no way intentional. As soon as the payment provider’s case came to our attention, we replied immediately on December 16, apologizing and sending the return label the same day.
On December 31, you contacted us again, indicating that you had not seen our December 16 message, and confirmed that you would return the jacket.
Upon receipt of the returned item, the refund was processed in accordance with our policy.
Regarding the amount mentioned in your review, €22 was not withheld. The amount initially retained was €15, corresponding to administrative fees related to the payment dispute procedure, not shipping costs. As a gesture of goodwill, this amount has now been fully refunded.
We regret that this experience did not meet your expectations and, of course, respect your decision to shop with other retailers in the future.
