2nd order with Oswin Hyde. I ordered a pair of the navy suede loafers. Arrived the next day. Great quality and really comfortable. Brilliant again. Highly recommended. Will use again 100%
I’d previously received a pair of shoes from this company as a Christmas present and loved them, so I recently bought another pair. Unfortunately, the quality was completely different.
From the first few wears they were extremely painful, particularly around the heel, but I assumed they simply needed breaking in. The pain only got worse. Comparing them with my original pair, there were clear differences in the stitching, construction and materials.
I contacted customer service and was advised to buy leather stretch spray or silicone heel pads rather than them actually investigate the issue. They refused a return because the shoes had been worn — despite the fault only becoming apparent by wearing them — and wouldn’t even allow me to send them back for inspection.
Very disappointing quality and even worse customer service. I certainly won’t be buying from them again.
POSITIVE. Bought pair of Freddie Tan Loafers.
Great quality and material, and a great price.
Had to return shoes too large. Found return procedure could be easier. New size delivered quickly, and my query re return was dealt with politely.
Liked Loafers so much ordered pair of Nash Cognac trainers, once again great quality and style.
I have two pairs of quality shoes at a great price.
A good retailer to deal with. Happy.
My partner bought a pair of nice Wilson shoes in March and they've already worn though the sole! He's in the office 3 days a week but we thought a £90 pair of shoes would last longer. Disappointed in the quality and not sure if it's worth resoling them.
Be careful when trying on shoes and trying to return.
Ordered a pair of leather shoes that were tried on at home, didn't fit and subsequently returned. My refund has been declined due to "Significant Damage". The pictures of the damage show one one shoe has creases in the leather that cant have been created by just trying the shoe on, the other shoe has no creases.
The customer service team clearly uses AI to create and respond to emails.
Overall extremely frustrating process to go through Despite claiming they don't compromise on quality, this is a clear indicator they do.
Excellent quality leather shoe. Customer service on point and fast delivery.
Ordered two pairs of shoes and paid for next day delivery. When shoes did not arrive checked tracking (not despatched) and cancelled order. Oswin Hyde proceeded to despatch (three days later). Returned from holiday (evri made multiple attempts to deliver) and refused delivery. Evri returned to sender and Oswin Hyde have still not issued refund. To date have refunded next day delivery postage cost only. Customer service is dismal and have lied to me about status of refund on two occasions.
The experience was great been looking for that particular design and found it through a friend who also got a pair delivery was prompt and professional and great quality slippers as well
A great company to deal with . The shoes fitted very well to size . Very comfortable to wear , you don't know they are on your feet . The quality of the leather both inside and out of the shoes is excellent. Would fully recommend 👌
UPDATE: This company does not respond to emails or answer calls to explain why they have stolen money from me.
As many other people have been, I was duped by this company’s claim to be a high-end, ‘London’ brand, as stated in their branding and marketing. Firstly, this company has no tangible connection to London - it is a clever marketing ploy to get people to think it is a luxury brand. The company is registered in Leicester, operates out of an industrial shed in Leicester and gets their shoes made cheaply in India, so I think their branding is at the very least misleading, if not fraudulent.
I ordered some leather shoes at the end of May and returned a few pairs that didn’t fit (paying for the return postage myself). I kept a pair that fitted and wore them to work. During the first wear, I noticed something was very unusual about the shoes. There seemed to be a lump under one of the insoles that was putting a significant amount of pressure on the arch / heel of my foot. I immediately emailed customer services who requested photos for proof, which was difficult to show given the issue was beneath the insole. I sent the photos anyway.
Various emails were exchanged over the next week, during which time I needed to wear the shoes again for work. On this occasion, wearing the shoes left me with lasting pain in my foot, which I relayed back to customer services, telling ‘Gie’ that I would not be able to wear the shoes again due to the significant pain the manufacturing defect had caused. The pain was felt for almost a week after wearing. A quick Google search showed me that I was not the only person who had experienced quality issues, including this exact issue.
I was provided with a return shipping label and offered an inspection / repair, but given the shoes were brand new and had been defective, I requested a refund instead, as per my legal rights under UK consumer law.
I did not hear back from customer services on this request. I sent the shoes back and never received my money back for them. I sent follow up emails requesting my refund on 15th, 25th and 30th July. I called customer services on 4th August and was told ‘a manager’ would get back to me the following day. I heard nothing, and called again on 11th August, this time requesting to speak to the manager directly, or to Asim, who is one of the Directors of ‘Brand Sauce’, which is the company name ‘Oswin Hyde’ is registered under. Needless to say, I was not able to speak to anyone more senior and there was no resolution from this phone call.
The next day (12th August) I did receive an email from ‘Customer Support Manager’, informing me that the shoes had been ‘repaired’ and were to be sent out to me the next day. I responded immediately and explained, again, that I would like a refund, as per my legal right, and would be rejecting any attempt at a delivery of the ‘repaired’ faulty shoes. As of 21st August I have received no refund, or even a response.
I’m not sure why it is so difficult to try and get my money back. Maybe the company doesn’t have £70 or maybe I have been scammed and will never get my money back. I have tried really hard to not post a negative review about this experience but the whole process has been a textbook lesson on why not to buy from these ‘luxury’ brands that seem to pop up from nowhere, and then vanish again when their substandard products get them into difficulties. I would be very, very careful about ordering from this company.
I would also be very wary of the positive reviews they have on Trustpilot, as these are not reflective of the general feedback on other platforms. To this day the company still posts sponsored adverts on social media saying they have a Trustpilot score of 4.6 (Excellent). They do not.
It seems like the only viable route to receiving my refund now is to take this company to court. It is bizarre that they would want to through the expense of this process, including paying costs and damages, rather than just refunding me the money they owe, but they clearly think laws don’t apply to them.
Poorly designed boots, refused to provide return cost.
I bought some black chukka boots from them. I put them on to check the size and instantly saw that the design of the ankle was incorrect. I compared these with loakes which did not have this huge gap. The thing that made this obvious is that the loakes were one size too big for me, yet the gap between my ankle and the leather outer was far less than the oswin shoes. I can't recommend the shoes or their customer service. I will say that the packaging was nice though.
Within 14 days it's consumer rights for a full refund in the UK but they're refusing to provide this.

This was my first time ordering shoes from Oswin Hyde and it certainly won't be the last, My new shoes are an excellent fit and made to a very high standard. Delivery was very fast and the quality of the outer and inner packaging cannot be faulted . All of this and the price to match. For such quality you would expect to pay a much higher price.

Spent weeks trying to get a refund for shoes that Evri didn’t deliver.
Eventually OH said I needed to put a claim form into Evri directly.
After much argument through email they eventually sorted out on the phone.
I won’t be using them again.

1)The published delivery time wasn't achievable. I gently queried it and my response was a template letter, which had been edited to tell me I hadn't read the details.
2) The sandals I ordered were cheaply made. Very lightweight and no way would they have ever got the suggested retail price of around £95.00. They were also far too large.
3) Be aware of their returns policy. It's £2.99 to cover the cost of the return, PLUS... £3.95 if you want a refund to your original method of payment.
Essentially, for a poor quality item costing £43.15, I paid £6.94 for the privilege of ordering, trying on and returning the item.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Jones Bootmaker has similar offerings and not only are their products superior, their refund policy is clear too.

AVOID OSWIN HYDE. READ THIS BEFORE BUYING.
I bought two pairs of shoes for my wedding, plus a tie and cufflinks. I kept everything except one pair, which I returned. I had already paid for the delivery AND paid to return the shoes.
They refused my refund claiming the shoes were “worn” because of creasing, a broken tag and “evidence of wear”.
The problem? The shoes were never worn outside. I repeatedly asked them to provide clear photos of the bottom of the soles proving this. They refused. The few photos they sent actually show the shoes in excellent condition.
They also claim I removed the tag completely untrue. The shoes arrived with creasing already present.
I even provided photos of the other pair I genuinely wore once at my wedding, showing actual wear and colour discolouration. They still failed to properly respond.
Now, after already paying to return the shoes, they expect ME to pay DPD AGAIN to collect them within 14 days, otherwise they will keep them.
So essentially: No refund. No convincing evidence. No proper response. Pay to return. Pay again to get them back.
I’ve now had to raise a dispute with my bank.
To be honest I’m sad that I had to write this my dad actually wanted to buy a pair of shoes and tie from here but I told him don’t. I’m also a teacher who regularly buys smart wear, on my mothers grave I genuinely thought I found a decent company/ brand with decent pricing that I could regularly shop from but never ever will you get any more of my ones. It’s not about the £89 it’s about principle and knowing it’s just wrong to scam people.
Think twice before buying from Oswin Hyde. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve dealt with.

Avoid at all cost! They will penalise you for trying the shoes on and find any reason not to offer you back a refund.
