A genuinely excellent store; friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff who are never overbearing. Lots of options across the range of their products and a great clearance department with some brilliant bargains. I will be using John Doe for replacement carpets, flooring and sofas in the very near future.

I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My husband and I are blown away by the quality and variety of product at John Doe, but also the exceptional team. Stewart has helped up with beds, mattresses and even a dining table and chairs we’d not even gone for. Tina has gone above and beyond for our third sofa from John Doe, and Sam in flooring was extremely helpful lifting so many samples and never rushing our decision. We cannot fault it.

Kyle visited our property to fit a carpet on our stairs and landing. He was polite and communicated effectively regarding the fitting. We were very pleased about the quality of the carpet and service.

Prior to the fitting, we called John Does to ask the timing of the fitting. They were able to provide us with this information to ensure the day was maximised.

Brilliant service and Jack was an absolute master at fitting our new wood floor. Was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He went out his way to make sure everything was perfect.

Despite some delays, we are very pleased with our new flooring. The screeders did an excellent job and Jack (our fitter) worked very hard and did a great job of laying the flooring. He is a tidy worker and even cleaned the floor when he had finished!

Mark and George arrived on time and worked without stopping until the job was finished! Did a good job of fitting the carpets and cleared up!

Once again, great service from John Doe. Having ordered a new carpet, the measurer identified two faults for a carpenter to fix. He came and fixed one fault efficiently and effectively; the carpet fitters, who allocated two days to the job, finished in just over four hours and did a first class job. The carpenter then returned and fixed the remaining fault. All was done to my satisfaction. Well done.

Many thanks to Simon & Scott who delivered my sofa back to me today. They are a great team, friendly & helpful & made sure sofa was assembled correctly & working properly. Also thank you to Dom, Service Technician, for such a high standard repair. Finally thank you to John Doe & Claire in customer services who organised this internal repair after the manufacture refused to help despite sofa being just 2 months old. We honestly can't recommend John Doe of Diss highly enough.

From the moment you walk in, it's a gorgeous store with so much to look at. It's spacious, spotless, well laid out and has a large area dedicated to discounted products, making it easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed.

What really stood out to us, though, was the staff. Every single member of the team we dealt with – from reception, sales assistants on the shop floor, cafe staff and the workmen – were an absolute pleasure. Whether we spoke to them over the phone with questions or face to face, everyone was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and genuinely happy to help. There was never any pressure to buy; we were able to take our time looking around, and staff were always nearby to answer questions when we needed them.

We originally went in to look at carpets and ended up leaving with an appointment for a home measure, a new office chair and an absolutely delicious lunch from the in-store café, Angela's - the goat's cheese panini is to die for! ... In fact, we've since driven the 45 minutes back several times just for brunch because it's that good!

The flooring department has an incredible range of carpets and flooring to choose from. Being able to take large samples to take home made such a difference, especially for someone as indecisive as me! Seeing them in our own home and in different lighting really helped us make the right decision.

A special mention also goes to the flooring team (sorry I haven't got your names!), Danny, who carried out the home measure, and to Simon E. and Prez, who fitted our carpets. They were all fantastic – professional, friendly, punctual and clearly took pride in their work. The fitting was completed to a really high standard, and we're absolutely delighted with the finished result.

Overall, excellent customer service from start to finish, fantastic products, a brilliant café and a team that genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. We couldn't be happier with our carpets and can't wait to enjoy them in our new home. We'd happily recommend John Doe - they make you feel like a valued customer rather than just another sale. Excellent service. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Simon, Scott and Lucas were thoughtful, removing their shoes to protect carpets, put the furniture where asked and showed great care in moving it in. Cheerful to boot. A great advertisement for John Doe.

Simon, Scott and Lucas were amazing and brilliant today when they delivered and set up the lovely new double bed from John Doe - they did this cheerfully and enthusiastically, and were both friendly and polite, even offering to carry upstairs a king size mattress that the London removal company we had yesterday failed to do, and Simon, Scott and Lucas succeeded! Many thanks to them all 😊!
