Hotmart overcharges my enrollment fee in a wrong conversion to ARS
On July 6, 2026, I attempted to enroll in "Academia de Trabajo Virtual", which advertises an enrollment fee of 497 USD. Since my credit card is issued in Argentina, I selected ARS currency from the payment link.
To my surprise, the platform displayed an incorrect conversion: 497 USD was shown as 854,350 ARS — equivalent to 570 USD. Unfortunately, the misleading behavior did not stop there. After placing my order, Hotmart charged me an outrageous 1,033,814.32 ARS, which equals nearly 690 USD.
In other words, Hotmart unfairly overcharged me by 193 USD (almost 289,000 ARS). I have already requested a full refund to Hotmart, but even the acknowledgment message continues to reflect erroneous amounts.
I am escalating this matter as a serious case of overcharging and deceptive practices. My goal is not only to obtain a fair resolution but also to warn and protect other Argentinians who rely on Hotmart’s platform for payments.

Bad tool, I don't recommend it
It's an alternative in countries where are no much solutions, but is quite bad.
The interface is poor, it doesn't work very well, for simple changes you need to contact support, and they don't really manage to solve these changes.
For sure I wouldn't recommend this service

Monthly payments instead of one time cost for online access
I have bought via the platform a course on EPOXY resin and I have found out that the cost was not one off for the learning materials, but a monthly subscription instead. This was NOT indicated in the price advertised on the product. This is misleading and a pure scam.

In your case, the product in question is a monthly subscription, which is why there were renewals. The subscription to the mentioned product was correctly canceled on January 30, 2026, and no further renewals will be generated after this date. Canceling the subscription does not imply a refund of the amount already invested nor the cancellation of future fees; it only prevents new renewals from being charged.

Stear away from it, it's a SCAM
If I could give Hotmart zero stars, I would.
I have been trying to withdraw money that I legitimately earned through this platform for over a year. Despite countless attempts to resolve the issue, I have received no meaningful help and still have not been paid.
Every time I reach out to support, I either get generic responses, am asked to repeat the same verification steps, or my case simply goes nowhere. It’s incredibly frustrating to work hard, make sales, and then be unable to access the money you’ve earned.
From my experience, the platform has completely failed to deliver on the most basic expectation: paying its creators. After more than a year of waiting, I have lost all confidence that this issue will ever be resolved.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Hotmart to anyone. If you’re considering selling through this platform, be aware that if something goes wrong with your payments, you may find yourself stuck in an endless cycle with no resolution.
This version is forceful while staying grounded in your personal experience, which makes it more credible and reduces the risk of it being removed as defamatory. If you have specific details, such as ticket numbers, dates, or repeated requests for documentation, adding those can make the review even more compelling.

Unauthorised payments SCAM
Unauthorised payments SCAM - cancelled my subscription over a year ago and confirmed with Hotmart. Yet, they still take out £10.99 every month, changed my debit card and they managed to find out my card details and continue to take money from my account. I have contacted my bank, they raise a fraudulent case and the money still gets taken out of my account. It is THEFT pure and simple. I am so disappointed with Hotmart and my bank for not protecting my money, it's a disgrace. My advice to anyone, be careful and use an account you can afford to close if they start to take unauthorised payments.
