Foxwell - Very limited Support and Updates

I purchased my Foxwell AutoMaster Pro NT624 in 2021 shortly after I purchase my new 2021 Atlas Cross Sport SEL 3.0 V6 4 motion Auto.
I figured if I ever needed it I would be ahead of the game.
Well the time has come where I need it.
I went on line to setup a foxwell account.. No Problem.
I went to register my product.
I entered my serial Number. Big Problem
The system couldn't find my SN
I contacted Foxwell tech support.
Apparently they don't archive their software!
Because I get a message from Tech support saying
They do not support older units..
So I guess I will need to throw this brand new scanner in the trash. (Where it obviously belongs)
I would highly suggest going with a company that offers lifetime support on their units. Not Foxwell
I also suggest to foxwell support that they should advertise limited support only, for obvious reasons!

Foxwell NT530 Plus cannot download data

I bought a Foxwell NT530 Plus scanner for my Aston Martin. It’s meant to be able to record, playback and download data. However, despite numerous conversations over email with Foxwell support it’s becoming clear that the download capability doesn’t exist.

Based on my experience I wouldn’t buy this scanner.

Warning! Do not buy Foxwell products

Warning! Do not buy Foxwell products.
I bought an NT644 Elite scanner, but there is practically nothing I can do with it anymore. It can only scan older cars. Foxwell does not provide any software updates whatsoever, even though they promised when I bought it that they would continue updating the software. In reality, there are no updates, and the device is essentially useless!

Foxwell is destroying my workshop! Extortion tactics are costing me money every day!

I am a professional mechanic and the owner of an automotive workshop. I purchased a Foxwell NT1009 scanner to do my daily job. Recently, I accidentally uninstalled the car software from the device. Since my 3-year update period just expired, I decided not to renew the subscription, which according to Foxwell’s lifetime license agreement, means I have the absolute legal right to continue downloading and using the historical software versions I already paid for. However, Foxwell has completely blocked and hidden the vehicle packages from my "Update" menu. Your servers are forcing me to buy a renewal I do not want and do not need just to recover my original software. This is not a technical glitch; this is intentional customer extortion and a clear breach of warranty. Because of your terrible customer service and scripted automated responses, I have been unable to scan my clients' cars for weeks. I am losing hard-earned money and clients every single day because of Foxwell's greed. Your tech support is ignoring me, telling me to just "pay the update fee."I demand immediate intervention from a high-level manager to update my serial number status on your server and release my lifetime historical software download via Wi-Fi. Stop hostage-holding my workshop tool!Urgent Device Details:Model: NT1009Serial Number: O1009be000257

NT630 ELITE Scanner (Lifetime Updates)

I have been emailing a support rep. after researching and exhausting all possible resolutions within my control, realizing finally my scanner was removed from my account on their end. I wanted to get reregistered so I could update it and use the other functions. I was told in every e-mail response that my scanner is old and was discontinued, we suggest you purchase a new one. I like the scanner but they do not support their customer. The NT630PLUS is identical and uses identical software and is the same age, but they decided to discontinue my model and refuse to send me a TF card for the 630PLUS or help me get it registered again. I lost faith in their company.

NT530+ with the extra ferrari software…

NT530+ with the extra ferrari software purchase was a waste of time.

I have a 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider.

I wanted specifically to diagnose my braking System and F1 System.

Eric at Foxwell could only communicate in email one time every few days so it took over a month to confirm the system wont work on my F1 or brake system.

Horrible experience

I bought a Foxwell BT301 battery test…

I bought a Foxwell BT301 battery tester from Aliexpress.(i already have problem-free foxwell obd scanner) It was double the price as the competitions but I thought, the quality had to be paid. And to my surprise, unfortunately, the instrument was not accurate what I told them.(measuring reference was a professional battery tester unit) They started to explain that the more I use the more accurate it will be :-) Sure. Even the most professional measuring instruments must be manually calibrated from time to time. The point is that I should have returned at my own expense, which would have been half the cost of the instrument. I do not recommend buying their product because if there is a problem with it, they will not take the responsibility. Fortunately it was not so expensive unit, so my loss was not too high... But no more foxwell product in the future...

Misleading “Lifetime Update” – Dishonest Company

bought a diagnostic device from this company because they advertised it with lifetime updates included. That was the main reason I trusted them and invested my money.

Now, only a few years later, they tell me the product is discontinued and updates are no longer available. Instead of honoring their promise, they want me to pay $130 more for a new device. This is completely unfair and misleading.

A company that sells products with a “lifetime update” guarantee should respect that commitment. Otherwise, it is false advertising.

Very disappointed and I do not recommend buying from this company. Be careful — they do not stand by their own promises.

Bi-Directional Buyer Beware

Some Foxwell units require require a non ODB cable to become bi-directional. No directions come with this cable, and they tell you to seek professional assistance to use it. In my case the cable plugged into the the cables of the security gateway located behind the dash under the radio. This required the removal of the dash facia, radio and security Gateway to use it.

Beware! Do not buy this Scan tool, I purchased a Foxwell NT530 scanner…

I purchased a Foxwell NT530 scan tool with two softwares included for DIY diagnostic and servicing of my Mercedes Bench & Toyota Highlander SUVs. Very seldom use but after 2 years suddenly all the softwares has disappeared including the built-in OBD so I contactef Foxwelltech. With numerous emails I was advised to replace the micro SD card with a brand new unit. Used supplied card reader, format the new micro sd card and created SN file with unit serial no on it then download the existing softwares to the Foxwell website but unable to download the softwares even if multiple attempt. Foxwelltech engineers was unable to help fix the problem. They said remote technical support is no longer applicable to my scan tool serial number. My $300 scan tool is now useless and no further help or assistance from Foxwell. Will never buy any products from Foxwell again,
