During the renovation of our house we installed a Bascom camera system, three outdoor Dome camera’s, one indoor cam and a hard disk recorder. After 5+ years we are generally content here my pro’s and con’s.
Pro’s:
The cameras are of high quality and worked without a flaw until now. I assume that they nowadays have even better cameras.
The recorder is works fine and does not need any attention to work.
The images/videos made are of good quality during daylight. During night see Con’s.
The information exchange from the cameras to the recorder works fine with Bascom-Power Technology but also via ethernet if desired.
The APP is OK, reading the recorded tracks is a bit cumbersome and time-consuming, I do that on my laptop if needed.

Con’s:
One deception is that the IR lights are fitted within the glass dome. This has the disadvantage that light reflections occur from dirt in and on the glass dome. Two cameras are unreachable for me to clean and their night imagery have become useless, daylight pictures are still ok. Cleaning requires dismantling the glass dome to reach the inside. Whenever I buy a cam again I will see that the IR lights cannot interfere with the lens of the cam.
