The amazing Boundless Team made every moment memorable for the children. The team is creative beyond words, and SO brilliant at planning field trips and making sure the children immerse into the culture. Absolutely loved our time with Boundless and will be doing this same cohort in Bali again for sure!❤️
Six Wonderful Weeks with Boundless Life Bali
We had a wonderful six weeks with Boundless Life Bali. What I appreciated most was the warm and supportive environment the educators created for the children. Over the weeks, I saw my child become more confident, open, and willing to participate, express herself, and try new things. She built meaningful friendships, really enjoyed the hands-on activities and experiences, and came away with many happy memories.
We are very grateful to the educators and the whole Boundless Bali team for making this such a special experience for our family.
We spent 5 weeks in Bali with boundless…
We spent 5 weeks in Bali with boundless in summer 2026 and absolutely loved our experience. Adults and kids alike, we all enjoyed our time, all the activities planned for us and exploring/learning in a completely new environment. Boundless team were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed any assistance they made sure we felt comfortable and had a good experience.
Not for us
We liked the idea of Boundless (we did 6 months in Estepona) but because of the way they market themselves i think it set unrealistic expectations for us.
The school was good for our young kids in terms of social development, they became a lot more confident during this time. But education wise they probably regressed, I don't think the education is to a high enough standard right now. Certainly not in subjects like maths. The kids enjoyed the lighter structure though.
The main thing we found difficult was the social expectations. Many of the people who went to Estepona in this time were from the same part of the world. These people, and the Boundless staff, were constantly speaking about making the most amazing connections and having the best experiences of their lives with these new people. But when we weren't finding this and not making best friends with people immediately, we started to question if there was something wrong with us, why weren't we making the most amazing connections immediately?! This meant we really started to resent that atmosphere and it was a bit impossible to avoid.
The work hub was useful to have, I used this most days.
Not too many people were working during our time, most were on long holidays, so the work hub wasn't often busy.
We got our own accommodation, we didn't like the Boundless accommodation and it was way over market prices.
I don't think we will do Boundless again, mainly because it is very expensive but the education side isn't good enough, and we seem to find the pressure of making best friends immediately too much. It was like a high school or something.
Some of the core staff were really good and on the ball, the ones who had been there a little while. But there was also some areas that had high turnover and not so well organised. The GM changed 2 or 3 times during our 6 months, I think the feedback I gave them fell on deaf ears and the last meeting I had scheduled with the GM, they didnt turn up at all.
So overall, it was an eye opening experience and our kids got something from it. But we don't think its good value and we won't do it again

Live Boundlessly!
We had an incredible experience with Boundless Life Bali! The teachers made the kids feel loved and like part of a family. My kids don’t adapt well to change but they did extremely well in this environment and didn’t want to leave. This was our first boundless cohort but it definitely won’t be our last. We hope to return to the Bali cohort someday, too! I hope they continue expanding into older age groups so that we can continue this through our kids teenage years. My only complaint is that the summer tuition fees are very expensive and that makes the program difficult to finance (as a middle class family), especially in the European countries.

Phenomenal!!
We had an incredible experience. We stayed in Sintra. Everybody working at the center is extremely warm and bubbly, and I truly think that what they've set up has redefined education. The other parents that we met are all like-minded, nomadic, international, and forward-thinking. It was a phenomenal experience. We are super excited for our daughter to attend many more Boundless cohorts, both in Portugal and in other countries, and super excited about the future growth of Boundless and the transformation in the education system that is upon us.

The best thing we have done for many years as a family! We feel so priviledged to have found this amazing company and community and being able to be part of the cohorts. We have done one in Sintra this spring and have already signed up for 3 more with our 4 year old! It is honestly the best decision we've made for our son and for us! We love the community, the chance to live life like a local in a very easy way with lots of friends and activities around. If you are unsure, just do it! You will never regret it! I am working full time as a Management Consultant and Boundless Life's set up worked perfectly for my needs from a professional perspective too! I miss the infrastructure, the inspiration etc as soon as I left the cohort and can't wait for our next one in a few weeks in Italy!

Sintra for Spring 2026 was AMAZING
We were in Sintra for Spring 2026 and we had the most incredible experience. It surpassed our very high expectations in every possible way.
The staff there is unbelievable and made sure the needs and desires of every family were met. The school experience was unparalleled for our 8 and 10 year old and they both thrived in the learning environment. The people we met through Boundless were so lovely and many became instant friends who will last a lifetime.
Lastly, Sintra, and Portugal in general, was such a dynamic place. We were unprepared for how impressive and accessible the incredible beaches, lush forests and charming villages would be and how enriched we'd feel by Portugal as a country. Our family would highly recommend Sintra as a destination!

Stunning Sintra…
From the moment we were picked up from Ericeira the Sintra cohort was fantastic!!
Our 4 year old Noah grew and developed incredibly fast and every child, family, teachers, staff and cleaners were amazing.
We have now booked Tuscany for September, Andalusia in January and Syros in Greece for the Spring 2027 cohort.
Really well organised and the activities were amazing.
Perfect for our family who can work remotely and meeting families again in other cohorts in the future!!
We loved living above Micas ice cream shop as the walk to the EC every day was so enjoyable looking up at the castle!!
Only regret is that we wish we had found this sooner!!
Awesome experience

2 Cohorts Down, 3 More Booked
We've participated in a Sintra January cohort followed by a Japan April cohort and had wonderful, transformative experiences. Yes, BL is more expensive than other worldschooling options but the convenience of having everything taken care of for you (apartment, schooling, work space, parents activities) truly makes it worthwhile to us. Once the cohort and flights are booked we really don't worry about planning anything else which is really freeing.
We have a 4yo son and BL was his first time ever attending any school (no daycare or anything); the growth that we have seen from him and the friendships he's formed are priceless.
As adults we have loved the village and connections we made with other parents; we've made lifelong friends and already have more travels planned with our BoundlessFam. We've never felt more taken care of or had so many people we could count on in one place.
Boundless is shaping how we plan to live our lives while we have a young family and what we look for in future places we may want to live.
I can't recommend it enough honestly. If you're considering it and have the means, do it. So many families are jealous that we started him at 3.5yo; the sentiment from everyone was they wished they started earlier (or that this lifestyle existed earlier).
We've got 3 booked back to back for 2027 if that tells you anything 🫶🏼 See you out there!

An unforgettable experience for our family
Our family joined Boundless for the Spring 2026 cohort in Montenegro, and I can genuinely say it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had as a family.
We came to Boundless hoping to give our son an incredible experience while having the opportunity to live somewhere new and connect with other families. What we found was so much more than that. Our son absolutely thrived. He loved going to school, formed wonderful friendships, and had experiences and adventures that simply couldn’t be replicated in a traditional classroom.
One of the biggest reasons our experience was so exceptional was the Montenegro management team. They are truly elite. The level of care, competence, communication, and thoughtfulness they brought to the experience was extraordinary. They managed to create something that felt incredibly well-run while still being warm, personal, and community-focused. They knew our families, cared about our kids, anticipated what we needed, and consistently went above and beyond. Having such a capable team on the ground gave us an enormous amount of confidence and allowed us to simply enjoy the experience. Boundless has something very special in its Montenegro team.
What also surprised me was how meaningful the experience was for the adults. Boundless created a true community. We made friendships with families from around the world, explored Montenegro together, shared meals, celebrated milestones, and quickly went from being a group of strangers to feeling like a little village.
Living in Montenegro was incredible in its own right, but Boundless gave us something much more valuable than simply spending a few months abroad. It gave us the opportunity to slow down, experience another culture, spend meaningful time together as a family, and become part of a community we never would have found otherwise.
We left Montenegro with incredible memories, wonderful friendships, and an even stronger belief in this way of experiencing the world as a family. Our Spring 2026 Boundless cohort will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
If you’re a family considering Boundless and wondering whether taking the leap is worth it: for us, it absolutely was. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Beyond pleased
I was extremely skeptical of boundless before joining but we decided to give it a shot.
I was very glad we did. Montenegro was extraordinary. It’s so easy to road trip in the region. It’s very family friendly as well. But more than anything, the management team really made the program.
The Marko’s (two of them) who ran it were not only amazing at making sure our family had zero trouble with language barriers or organizational issues but they also brought such an amazing degree of local knowledge. Some of excursions were during school hours with just adults and some were with the whole family. Every single one was special. These guys were absolute pros. We really experienced Montenegro in a way that would have been impossible otherwise. They truly made us feel like family during our 3 month program.
I also have tons of respect for the educational team. Fiona, Maria and Christina made sure our daughter felt right at home in her classroom. They kept a tight ship and made sure the kids stayed in line but still felt safe learning and exploring.
In retrospect we probably wouldn’t have considered Montenegro but it just so happened that it was the only program that worked for us. I am very grateful and will definitely continue with boundless.
My only complaint is that the cohort could be lengthened. Right as families are getting comfortable in their space it’s time to start thinking about the next thing. I realize there are problems with Schengen zone visas and that dictates the duration of the cohort to some extent but I think a four month program would really be ideal if it could be worked out to give more stability for everyone involved.

Brandmire's experience with Boundless Life…
Our experience with Boundless Life across both the Kotor and Estepona locations has been nothing short of transformative. Transitioning to a nomadic lifestyle can be daunting, but Boundless provides a turnkey ecosystem that makes "living like a local" feel effortless from day one.
The Locations
Kotor, Montenegro: The setting is cinematic. Living within reach of the Bay of Kotor offered a perfect blend of history and serenity. The community hub here felt intimate, and the local team went above and beyond to integrate us into the Montenegrin culture.
Estepona, Spain: A beautiful shift to the Costa del Sol. The proximity to the beach provided a classic Mediterranean lifestyle and made our Californian family feel right at home.
The Boundless Experience
One of the standout features of Boundless is the Education Center. Having a consistent, high-quality learning environment for the children allowed them to make friends immediately and stay engaged with a forward-thinking curriculum. It also gave us the "deep work" time we needed in the coworking space and family lounge, knowing they were thriving.
The Community
Beyond the logistics, it’s the people that make this program special. We’ve built a global network of like-minded families. The organized activities—from local hikes to community dinners—are thoughtful and genuine, avoiding the typical "tourist" feel.
Final Verdict
If you are looking for a way to explore the world without sacrificing professional productivity or family stability, Boundless Life is the gold standard. We arrived as guests and now feel like part of a global family. We cannot recommend these cohorts highly enough!
Specific memories: While in Kotor, you have to hike the ladder and meet the owner of the Cheese Shop; be ready to sample his local moonshine (rakija) and meet his goats.
The staff: While we love the entire staff at both Kotor and Estepona, the Marko's (Lil & Big) in Montenegro will be life-long friends.
The "Why": We wanted a way to travel and work without home-schooling the kids. The cultural experiences and education the kids are getting is top notch. So much, that we added Bali to the agenda while on our first cohort in Kotor; we'll be in Bali for July-August (after Estepona) and hopefully beyond!

Boundless gave us the opportunity to explore the world as a family.
Boundless gave us the opportunity to try world schooling for the first time, and we have now done 5 cohorts. We love many things about the lifestyle and the community. Unfortunately, where Boundless falls short is really showing after this many cohorts - the education. Living a world-schooling lifestyle, our kids have had the opportunity to learn so much about the world around them, and we've seen them grow in many positive ways. But unfortunately, they are falling short academically in fundamentals like reading proficiency, math, and science, and as they get older, it's becoming increasingly apparent.
Aside from education, I'd like to see Boundless really invest in more comfortable homes! Many of the Boundless apartments feel like dorm living with Ikea furniture and accessories, and for families who are used to a different lifestyle, offering nicer furnishings can help bridge the gap. Invest heavily in comfortable bedding, more comfortable and family-friendly furniture, and make the homes feel more comfortable by adding art to the walls and rugs. These homes should help kids feel comfortable after a long day of exploring a new culture. Think about what would delight families and add those to the homes. Every cohort I have been in, there have been complaints about uncomfortable beds, pillows, sheets, towels, etc. Those should be the easy things. The size of the apartment doesn't matter if you make it beautiful and comfortable.
We've seen Boundless come a very long way over the years and appreciate how they continue to listen to feedback and make adjustments. We very much value the opportunity it has provided our family and will continue to champion the organization and the concept, even if it no longer works for us.

So much gratitude for our Boundless experiences
I truly only have great things to share about the Boundless experience. I first came across the program when I was on the search for world schooling opportunities - that was years ago when they first started and now we have already experienced four different cohorts. We started off with a summer cohort in Portugal, followed by Greece, Indonesia and most recently Spain. As a school psychologist, I know too well that the traditional schools do not provide our children with the experiences that parents hope for. Boundless helped to bridge that gap and gifted our three children the highest form of real life experiences outside of their comfort zones which is proven time and again to be the key to future success and happiness. Boundless also gifted us parents with the highest form of self-care, being a built in like-minded community. I truly am so grateful for all the families that I have connected with and for the once in a lifetime experiences that we reminisce on often.

We absolutely loved out Boundless in Montenegro!
We absolutely loved out Boundless Experience in Montenegro! The location is absolutely stunning, the school as beautiful and the teachers were excellent. Our daughter made best friends and learned a lot in the 3 months. We really enjoyed all the field trips and community activities. The co-working space was great and the other families were lovely to connect with. What a gift this opportunity is to give to our kids and ourselves as parents. We can't wait for out next cohort!
