Golan was fantastic! We had a a city walking tour of Rovinj with Golan! He was excellent, hospitable, knowledgeable, and fun to be with for two hours! He gave us lot of additional tips of places to go and things to do, also connecting us to other guides for different purposes! Avwonderful experience! I highly recommend Golan! You won’t be disappointed!!

We looked at the Athens Acropolis tour because it was recommended by a friend. We noticed it was 3x the price of GetYourGuide. We didn't notice that it didn't include tickets to the Acropolis. For $600 I would have thought it did. We literally booked a better more inclusive tour for $200 including tickets with GetYourGuide. What capped it off was the personal communication from the guide "Panos P." who told us we were stupid, and didn't know how to read, and that I was wasting his time, and guides have better things to do than to go back and forth with people. I literally asked him one question to clarify if the admission was or was not included. Wow. I guess so. He helped make our decision to cancel.

We took a tour of Bronzeville, Chicago, with Alicia. We had an amazing time! She welcomed our outsized university group of 23, despite her normal size of 4 people. She was friendly, super knowledgeable, funny, sincere and generally an excellent guide. Despite my being a native Chicagoan myself, I knew very little about this *vital* area of Chicago history and its impact on the city. Very worth while! I highly recommend native Bronzevillean Alicia as your guide to this fascinating neighborhood.

Mike, aka Mick, was absolutely fabulous. He took us everywhere we wanted to go in London and even took our picture walking across Abbey Road. He recommended a wonderful location for dinner which also was fabulous. We strongly recommend Mick to anyone who is looking for a great tour and would like to ride in a more than comfortable black cab.

Jana was such an engaging guide for our 3 hour Anthropoid tour thru Prague. She helped us navigate Prague's public transportation while leading us to all the historical sites involved in the WWll Czech resistance operation - a fascinating true story! Her knowledge was truly remarkable
Also included sites & info on the Dan Brown Secret of Secrets book being filmed in Prague while we were visiting

Gianni was a fabulous guide. We loved all the places he took us & the information he shared. He’s also an awesome driver which is really important when traveling on the Amalfi Coast. The tour guide he contracted for Pompeii was the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

It was really awesome to have a local join you for a tour of the city. It’s nice because I feel like a kid constantly asking what’s that? And, the tour guide will have the answer! Benny brought us to some real gems and we are thankful

We struck gold with Yuko. What a beautiful guide. She was attentive, kind and caring as well as professional. She knew her stuff and what we loved the most was she was able to read us and adjust the time we had with her to meet our needs more thoroughly. This was not a cheap experience and will be the most expensive thing we will do on our holiday but so so so very much worth every penny

I had 3 separate recent 3 Croatian tours where the tour guide I researched and hired was a no show. Instead each respective tour guide chose to find someone else to conduct the tour. Never was I told about this prior to this surprise change.
*** Be weary of Tours by Locals in Croatia - it appears to be acceptable by ToursByLocals.com, in Croatia, to conduct business in the manner. I have no idea really who our guide was (in each of the 3 tours) nor if that substitute was even certified.
We certainly didn’t get $1,300.00 (total)
worth of history and culture which I hired each respective tour guide. It’s a shame ToursByLocals.com allows this to occur.
It’s unclear if this company can be trusted by me and my groups moving forward.

We booked a private and custom tour in Prague with Olena K. She prepared a special itinerary for us with a driver. The tour was great, she was incredibly knowledgeable about everything. Booking through their website was easy and communication with our guide was responsive. In future, our tours will be through this website. It couldn’t have gone better.

Are you ready for the Greek adventure of a lifetime? Meet Jim, the Javier Bardem of Greece and a modern-day Indiana Jones all rolled into one! This full-day journey through the Peloponnese was adventure after adventure, with special surprise after special surprise along the way. I can easily say this was the best tour I have ever experienced in my life. I wish I could talk about some of the surprises Jim had planned throughout the day, but that would ruin the fun. You will have to discover those for yourself! One of the things that really separates Jim from other tour guides is that you never feel rushed. On so many tours, you can feel like you are getting an abbreviated version of each destination before being hurried on to the next stop. That was absolutely not the case here. Jim gives you plenty of time to explore, provides fascinating historical insight, shares practical tips along the way, and makes sure you get the absolute most out of every stop and the entire day. Jim's knowledge was incredible, but what made it even better was how immersive he made everything feel. He has a great ability to paint a vivid picture of the history surrounding you while adding key details that take your understanding even further. Instead of simply hearing dates, names, and facts, you begin to understand what happened at these places, why they mattered, and how everything connects. The day was also adapted to a certain degree around my own interests. Jim clearly goes out of his way to understand what matters most to each guest and accommodate those interests whenever possible. That personal attention makes a huge difference because the tour never feels like a rigid itinerary that everyone experiences exactly the same way. He genuinely wants you to get as much as possible out of the day. There was an incredible amount packed into a single day, including Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplion, and one of my favorite surprises, Acrocorinth. Acrocorinth was an incredible stop and made the day even more memorable, especially getting to explore a location connected with Christopher Nolan's new film The Odyssey. What makes the experience so special is that it never feels like you are simply being transported from one historical site to another. With Jim, there are adventures within the adventure. You are learning about Greek history, exploring extraordinary places, discovering things you might otherwise miss, and having a genuinely fun time doing it. Whether you are passionate about Greek history, want to deepen your knowledge of the Peloponnese, or simply want a unique adventure that you will always remember, book a tour with Jim with complete confidence. This was an unforgettable day, and I already cannot wait for my next adventure with Jim in a few months. If this tour was any indication, I know there are many more incredible experiences ahead.

Our guide was local ( as advertised) and very knowledgable. She was able to sort through stuff we didn't need to see and get more out of our tour. Her name was Montse and we would highly recommend her.

If you are looking for a personal private guide in Ephesus while on a cruise stop or just staying in Kusadasi, you absolutely must book with Tolga!
He took us on an incredible private tour and honestly made our whole trip to Ephesus seem special.
Tolga knows everything there is to know about the ancient ruins, but he explains it like a friend telling a cool story, not like a boring textbook. He started up hill and was sure to pace us as we walked the entire site, starting at the top of the hill working our way downward was an easier walk and less stress! As a bonus he knows all the great places to take a photo of us with the ruins as a backdrop. He shared them with me at the end of the tour.
He didn’t rush us at all, completely went with our flow, and made sure we stayed ahead of the big tour crowds and the heat. Plus, he took us to an amazing, authentic local spot for lunch that we never would have found on our own.
He is super warm, funny, and genuinely cared that we had a great time. It felt less like a stiff guided tour and more like hanging out with a local buddy who knows all the best spots.

Our guide, Pepito, was wonderful! He was funny, personable and very knowledgable. He was also great at taking photos of us along the way. I would highly recommend him! I have used Tours Bb Locals on several occasions and they are fantastic to deal with. If on a cruise, you don’t have to worry about getting back to the ship on time.
