I paid $5,600 on May 19
I paid $5,600 on May 19, 2026, with the understanding that my vehicle would be delivered according to the agreement. Instead, my experience was extremely frustrating. The shipment was delayed by around two months, communication was very poor throughout the journey, and I felt ignored despite contacting them around 13 times.
On top of the original $5,600, I was also charged an additional $1,700, which made the situation even more disappointing. I requested a refund, but I have not received one.
The vehicle was eventually affected by the long and difficult transportation process, and the overall experience caused me significant problems. I understand that vehicle transportation can involve delays and third-party carriers, but I expected much better communication and adherence to the agreement.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting every cost, delivery expectation, additional-charge condition, and refund term clearly documented before paying. My experience was very different from what I expected when I booked the service.

Paid $4400 to ship my vehicle from AK…
Paid $4400 to ship my vehicle from AK to FL, so I would not need a rental in FL. I shipped the vehicle a month prior to my next trip. Based on my experience in logistics, the shipping from A to B is mapped out before taking the money. They only planned from AK to Tacoma, did not schedule to FL. Vehicle has been sitting in Tacoma for 2 weeks. The person on the phone did not care about negative post.

For a multi-leg shipment such as this one, spanning thousands of miles and crossing not only bodies of water but also the continental United States, carrier availability and port schedules can significantly impact the overall timeline. This is why we let our customers know ahead of time that all pickup and delivery dates and times are estimated and not guaranteed. The size of your vehicle and the delivery location have also been limiting factors regarding carrier availability.

This company is all over you until the sale happens and then at that point, you’re on your own. Highly recommend putting a tracking device on your car, cause they won’t know where it is, and the DO NOT communicate. I’ve been on hold multiple times, over 30 minutes, no one has answered the phone. My car supposedly arrived at the port a week ago, but zero communication from them. They also don’t reply to emails.
Please note, based on the reply below, which makes it sound like they have stayed in contact with me, that’s not the case. I had to contact them both times, sitting on hold for over an hour, getting hung up on. I was assured a manager would contact me, nope, didn’t happen.
If this company knew how to ship cars, they would have had a transport waiting when my car arrived, instead they have no idea who or when my car will ship.

I’ve used Alaska Car Transport two times, now, to ship my vehicle between Tacoma, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska. Both times, my car arrived in a reasonable amount of time, with no damage to my vehicle. I think Alaska Car Transport is great, and I would use them again!

From start to finish I knew everything about how the transaction was going to go. I knew the cost, what I needed to have and do for my car, where to take it, how to get my son to pick it up, and was able to track the car along the route. Everyone was polite and professional. Alaska Car Transport is legit
Alaska Car Transport is legit. I had to get my son’s car from Colorado to Anchorage and there were plenty of domestic carriers who claimed “end-to-end” service, but their definition of “end” is the Seattle port and not inclusive of the water transport segment. Alaska Car Transport truly facilitates the entirety of the shipment. They provide frequent communication on the progress of the transport, and the handoff at the destination was quite seamless. Highly recommend!
