I bought 4 tickets to a NY Yankees game and spent over $300 so I decided to buy the insurance. The game was canceled due to a Nor'easter in NY. It seemed like a no brainer that I would get a refund either from the site I purchased the tickets or Allianz. Neither of them offered a refund so I am out over $300 over something I could not control. It seems as if I had lied and said I had some kind of emergency or accident, I would have gotten the refund. Moral of the story: it doesn't pay to be honest. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase insurance through this company.

Did not pay out benefits even though concert was canceled by venue. Proof of cancellation was provided and verified. Allianz lied and stated concert took place. I was in Laughlin the day of the scheduled concert and was told that day of the cancellation! Allianz is worthless. I should have been reimbursed (refunded)for travel expenses, which is ALL I asked for.

We haven't gone on the cruise yet, but in the past we
have used Allianz and needed to cancel due to illness.
Company was excellent in refunding our money in a timely fashion.

Quick resolution and response

I filed a claim on October 12 and I had to call numerous times throughout the 15 day cycle to understand what was taking so long to process it. I finally had to call again on October 30 to understand what’s going on cause it was the 15th day. Then I was sent a text indicating documentation was needed that I did not receive a refund and that the trip was not refundable. The reason I could not make the trip was because my traveling partner came down with bronchitis. We filed the claim on the same day October 12. She was reimbursed October 13. We submitted the same documentation and hers was processed and mine took almost 20 days. I had to prove that I did not get a refund whereas her claim did not have to prove that. Inconsistent process and other travel insurance policies that I have worked with fire exceed the process and customer service that I received. I will not use Alliance again.

The end to end process was impressive. 100% online, including claim submission, refund and payment posting,

The submission process for my insurance was easy and got resolved in a timely manner.

Had a family emergency funeral had to miss my concert as to were back in MN from TN .. just had to show proof of funeral and or Obit which was kinda odd ..to show proof .. its ins I paid for ,shouldn't matter what the stipulations are why I cant make it ,why its called Insurance.. but got my reimbursement with in few days .. so it worked out well .. still bummed couldn't make that show tho..
