I usually plan trips myself, but after starting to tackle China I realized I was going to need some help. I had already made hotel and plane reservations when I contacted China Highlights, and heard back from Annie within 24 hours. I heard from someone else a few days later, but I stayed with Annie, and I am so glad I did!

I visited Xi'An, Beijing, and Shanghai and while I wanted to visit the big attractions I also had offbeat interests. Annie was able to accomodate everything swiftly in an organized and cohesive schedule. I can't say enough about her communication skills. English is excellent and despite being in a 12 hours different time zone, she always responded promptly and succinctly. We made high speed train reservations and if there was an issue getting the tickets because they were sold out, she quickly suggested alternatives. Without Annie, this entire trip would have fallen apart.

And once I arrived in China, somehow she was also omnipresent. I went to the wrong exit in the Beijing train station and the driver was waiting quite far away at a different one. I texted Annie on WeChat. Instantly she wrote back--stay there, the driver will come to you. The guides and drivers she recommended were all excellent and I always had the feeling that she was omnipresent in a caring way, and would help me through anything.

Annie has looked after us throughout the process which has not been easy. We requested 4 train sectors which had to be cancelled as our long haul flights were cancelled. Then the flight were uncancelled .... then cancelled again all due to Israel / American unprovoked war. Annie was patient, totally supportive and professional at all times. We will try again with the itinerary next year and Annie will be the only person we will think about when we know our new itinerary. Excellent.

Train tickets booked with China highlights. I used this service to book 5 rail tickets. Trent was very responsive and helpful with giving tips to make sure I obtained my tickets even though I was travelling during the Spring Festival and Chinese new year period. Online transactions very easy to navigate. You do need to make sure you enter your passport details exactly as requested because your passport becomes your ticket when boarding trains. I would use them again in future and can honestly recommend this service as there were no issues or complications. All went smoothly.

Their service was spotless. They were clear on how the process worked and they fulfilled their promise. After the booking was successful, they sent promptly instructions on how to get access to the tickets at the station.

The train tickets were booked for me within a day. I only needed to show my passport at the trainstation. No paper tickets needed anymore. All worked out well, good seats, perfect! And the customer service could also be reached in case of any question. Highly recommendable!

They do a great job booking trains in China in advance for people outside China. The tickets are stored on your ID card / passport, and are convenient to use.
My one recommendation to the company is to send a copy of the order back when the order is made, to have a record.
