Once the ball was moving communication was clear and quick.
In the initial stages, the irony of presenting someone who may well be ADHD with reams of forms to fill in and expecting them to get on with it without other contact was not lost on me.
After this stage, things seemed to gain pace and the actual humans I spoke to were very nice. I am still awaiting titration, and whether it suits me.
Get your forms done. That's the headline.
Very quick, welcoming and made me feel at ease. Timing of appointments was made easy and suitable to my schedule.
Highly recommend and highly appreciated.

The process from being referred to being assessed and then diagnosed was much quicker than I expected. The instructions that came with every task I needed to do were really helpful and the little icons used were useful for me.
My assessor was really kind, even when we were interrupted because I needed to tend to my 4 month baby.
All in all I had a really positive experience with Care adhd and I’m really glad I chose them for my pathway.

Hassle free and very helpful! Just under a month to get diagnosed which is amazing!
Quick turnaround time for an appointment. My assessment was very interesting and helpful. Very detailed report and given information on where I can go from here if needed.

The lady was particularly nice and really kind with me during the review
Extremely disappointing experience with the titration service
I honestly don’t know where to start with this, because I’m beyond frustrated with my experience with Care ADHD.
I was diagnosed with ADHD through Care ADHD in January 2026 and entered the titration pathway shortly afterwards. One of the reasons I chose Care ADHD was because of the relatively short waiting times they advertised. I genuinely believed that once I finally had my diagnosis, I would be able to move forward and actually start getting treatment.
That hasn’t happened.
I submitted the required titration information in February/March, and I am now approaching six months of waiting for my first titration appointment.
Throughout that time, I’ve repeatedly tried to find out where I actually am in the queue and when I can expect to be seen. I’ve completed my forms, sent emails requesting updates, and provided additional information on my circumstances. I’ve done everything I’ve been asked to do, yet I still don’t have a clear answer about where I am on the waiting list or when I’m going to receive treatment.
On 19 August, after months of waiting, I sent a pre-escalation email asking for exactly that: a clear update on my position in the titration queue and a realistic timeframe for my first appointment. I explicitly said that I would escalate the matter through the formal complaints process and, if necessary, to the relevant ICB.
It’s now been two weeks.
Still no meaningful response.
I understand that ADHD services are under huge pressure. I understand that there are waiting lists and that delays happen. What I cannot understand is why, after waiting for this long, I can’t even get a straight answer about where I stand.
I’m not expecting someone to magically create an appointment for me tomorrow. I’m asking to be told where I am, what’s happening, and when I can realistically expect treatment. After six months, I don’t think that’s an unreasonable thing to ask.
Getting my ADHD diagnosis was supposed to help me understand myself. Instead, I’ve found myself going through a really difficult process of recognising how much I’ve spent years masking, suppressing difficulties and blaming myself for things I didn’t understand.
Now I have the language to explain those things. I’m more aware of sensory issues. I’m more aware of the things that overwhelm me. I’m more able to recognise when I’m struggling rather than automatically hiding it.
But I’ve been given that understanding and then essentially left on my own to deal with what comes next.
My relationships have suffered. I’ve become increasingly isolated. I’ve lost pretty much my entire social circle. I now understand myself better than I ever have, but at the same time my life feels like it has unravelled around me, and I’m still sitting here waiting for the treatment that was supposed to follow my diagnosis.
I don’t expect Care ADHD to be responsible for my relationships or every difficult thing happening in my life. But I do think there is something seriously wrong with a system that can give someone a diagnosis that fundamentally changes how they understand their entire life, and then leave them for months with no meaningful support while they try to process and manage it.
I chose Care ADHD because of their short published wait times and because I thought they would provide a route from diagnosis into treatment.
Instead, six months later, I’m still waiting, still chasing updates, and still don’t know when I’m going to be seen.
I’ve been given the explanation for why I’ve struggled for years, but I’ve been left without the treatment or support to actually do anything with that understanding.
I’ve been left to unravel.
I really hope Care ADHD takes this seriously and improves the way it communicates with people waiting for titration. Patients deserve better than being left in the dark for months. We deserve to know where we stand.
**7 September update**
I have since received a very quick response to my formal complaint, which I was pleasantly surprised by. My complaint was partially upheld, and I was finally given a rough estimate of when I can expect to be contacted by the bookings team.
I will say, however, that it absolutely should not have taken a formal complaint for me to be given even a broad indication of when I could expect to progress through the pathway. As an NHS-contracted healthcare company dealing with such a sensitive area of healthcare, transparency should be a priority.
I do very much appreciate that CARE ADHD have acknowledged and apologised for the lengthy waiting times and communication issues. Unfortunately, though, the experience that led me to complain still stands.

My experience with this company continues to be appalling. For two months in a row now, despite being on extended Titration and NOT a stable dose, I have been promised by the 'chemist' or 'nurse' (actually a "non-medical practitioner", whatever the hell that is) they would request my prescription immediately at the end of the appointment. Twice they have failed to do this, leaving me with gaps in my medication supply at exactly the time when I'm trying to assess the impact it is having on symptoms. On both occasions, I was called 20 mins late into a scheduled 30 minute appointment. My formal complaint was not handled any better - as it copy+pasted irrelevant answers about the process for private patients on a stable dose when I am a Right to Choose NHS Patient who is not yet stable.
Extremely limited contact options - a phone line that is not manned except between the same 09:00 - 16:00 hours most people are working themselves and is constantly busy and rings off after leaving you on hold for 30+mins, emails/contact forms that get ignored for days, weeks, or in some cases even months,or an AI chat bot so badly programmed it seems deliberately designed to trigger an overstimulated meltdown in neurodiverse people.
Avoid this complete shambles.
Edit:
See below for another example of their lazy copy/paste replies to complaints. Still haven't received the medication refill or review appointments, and the complaint email has gone ignored as usual.

To tell you the truth I was nervous as hell and the lady I spoke to was brilliant it's because I'm not good when I don't know what to expect I have panic attacks but it went better than I could expect

My Assessor was professional, and made the experience stress free. I felt that I was listened to and was able to get my point across well.

The process was quick and straightforward. There were a lot of forms to complete however they supported you with each step to help you prepare. The assessment was also straightforward and good that it was done using Teams so I could do it from home.
