Didn’t have the fish for at least three days and it passed away inside the fish tank and I cannot get refund from it back at all this company should be shut down for good

DO NOT BUY from these crooks, I ordered and paid high money for guppies frin them, the fish all showed up dead and they were very apprensive on replacing the fish or my $. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere, very rude and arrogant!

Unfortunately I did not have a good expirence with them. I ordered 12 pygmy corydoras and they arrived DOA due to improper packing for weather conditions. I reached out to get the fish replaced. They gave me in-store credit for the fish only, did not include the shipping cost I paid for. I placed a second order (paying for shipping a second time for the same order). They arrived alive but I only received 9 of the 12. I reached out again asking if they could ship me the 3 missing from my order. Instead they gave me in-store credit for 3 fish. I asked for a refund for the 3 missing fish, and they would only give me in-store credit. So if I wanted the 12 fish I ORIGINALLY ORDERED, I would have had to pay for shipping 3 times. They did not do the right thing and really screwed their customer over without a care in the world. This was my first time dealing with them and I will happily never return. Plenty of other companies to order from for the same price that will look after you better. I do not reccomend, if you are reading this, I would strongly consider going elsewhere. And if you don't, I do hope you have a better expirence, best wishes!

I ordered a female copper alien betta from their website a few months ago, but the fish I recieved was anything but. At first I just noticed that it was definitely male, not female as listed. Now that his full color hqs come in I can tell he is also definitely not even a copper alien, he is a less vibrant imbelis. The worst part is that they dont even guarantee that you get what you paid for, so there is nothing you can do about it.

Beautiful Cichlid Fry arrived healthy, Beautiful, and on time.

Fish were sickly and died. Offered me a low refund which I haven’t seen yet. Please shop in a local, reputable shop.

Huge variety of fish and supplies you don’t see at PetSmart or Petco. They carry a lot of unique species and interesting setups that make it fun to look around. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful

This company is a scam!!!! I ordered a betta fish on December 23rd, and they never shipped it to me. I have received only 2 email correspondence messages abt getting tracking info I NEVER GOT. Any time I have reached out after NO response. Absolute scam! DO NOT GET SCAMMED BEWARE!!!!!

This company is a scam. Ordered 10 nano fish and it has been almost a month and I still have not received them. On top of that, the store is no longer responding to my texts or calls. DO NOT purchase from this site.

Twice I have ordered where they have forgotten the heat pack, and every single fish I ordered was dead. It takes them weeks to reply to any emails, and even longer to refund you for the dead fish. Sure, the shipping is cheap, but so is their customer service and the treatment of their fish.

First time customer and I will never order from them again. Although I received my order in a timely manner, the poor fish had clearly been dead for a few days. My email to customer service about a replacement went unanswered. I do not recommend.

Terrible company don't ever order from this place. Fish arrived dead and with no packing material. Just a dead fish in a bag thrown in a Styrofoam box. Then they don't answer emails texts or calls. I'm turning them in to the BBB

Terrible customer service....don't waste your time or money. Ordered $70 worth of fish and my order was significantly delayed (over a month). I knew that was likely because of the cold weather with shipping and I would have been okay with that, but I emailed twice and Noone ever responded. Once the fish shipped...we got an estimated date and then they didn't show up until 3 days after that date. Unfortunately all fish arrived BEYOND dead....like mush and bits and pieces (poor guys). The company will only refund $50. We didn't get anything we paid for so now just out $20 for absolutely nothing. Never again.

This is the single worst experience I have ever had ordering from anybody online. It took 5-6 weeks for my order of 6 plants to arrive, when they did, there were five in the box. 1 single plant was alive and looked ok, but was yellowed at the base. Another had a live root base but the leaves crumbled off as they were covered in rot. Every other plant rotted away from the stem, and was unsalvageable. This was horrible and I hope nobody orders plants from here because of the quality.

Horrible company, do not order!
Ordered a pretty large order, almost $100 worth of items and waited around 3 months before everything arrived DEAD. I messaged them 2 separate times to cancel my order because of weather, but received nothing in response, after I already disputed them as potential fraud to my bank and got my money back, they sent the fish anyway and they didn't make it, as I told them they wouldn't. Horrible company and they don't care about quality fish or health of the fish and animals, they just want money. Please save your money to a more professional locally owned fish store.

Before I write this I want it to be known I have never written a bad review till now. I order my female bettas in the beginning of November and they were supposed to arrive the beginning of December. I got an email the day they said the fish were supposed to show up, saying the weather was not addiquite for shipping. I have continuesly emailed and chated on their website, trying to figure out how long they'll prolong my order, to get no reply from anyone. I do not recommend Coast Gems at all, or at least until I get my fish in healthy and safe condition. I have payed and been as polite and patient as I can. Please Coastgems just give me my fish.

I placed an order for a few guppies on 10/8 and it is now 11/15 and I have not received my order. I reached out several times to check on the status of my order and every time I was told it would be shipped out next week and still have not got my order. My recent emails to this company was me asking for a refund, the first request I was completely dismissed and was told “your order will ship next week” I emails them again after that week has passed and still no response. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. This was my first time buying fish from them and this was a total mistake as this has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am hoping that I get a response from this business so I can’t be issued a refund.

My husband and I stoped in to Coast Gems USA. We were impressed at the care and quality of the tropical fish. I have never seen such amazing Betta fish! Or such beautiful show guppies! Mr. Pon was so helpful and friendly. He handed me a net and cup allowing me to pick the three beautiful guppy trios. Gorgeous fish! We also bought nine Cory cats and three red plecos.All of the fish are healthy and doing really well. We will drive the 100 miles to visit this wonderful place again.

They get 1 star because I gave them the benefit of the doubt! Everyone was bad talking & saying all these nasty things about COAST GEM USA & I thought it was just miserable ppl until couple months ago they sold me purpleplatinumguppiesinsteadofpurple mosaic. Then I received the wrong order again, they sent female dragons with blue tails in place of blue grass females after wrong order of albino red tail & the last one I ordered albino full reds & got regular full reds! They are not good retailers,business ect & very heartless when it comes to understanding! Please spend your money wisely & purchase somewhere else!! & not to mention if the fish dies before you get it you pay full shipping for 1 fish! THE BAD RATINGS ARE FOR A REASON BE CAREFUL! Check out Jadred aquatics & red fish blue fish ect...

I have waited over threee weeks for my four fish I spent over $230 for and have not received z. I am currently filing fraud charges against them.
