Stay away from Carvolution! It is a scam!
We just finished our subscription with them with a terrible experience. We drove an Audi Q3 for 3 years…40,165 Km in total. We feel cheated. It was our family car, and we took very good care of it, except for a scratch to the left side of the front bumper while parking.
The car was in very good condition, however to our surprise, once we returned the car, we got an invoice for CHF 5,162.75 to cover repairs in the car!!! We couldn’t understand what repairs were needed so we went in to check the invoice. We were charged CHF 490 for a light dirty interior cleaning, CHF 1,500 for the insurance premium to fix the rear bumper, where there was absolutely nothing to be fixed there, CHF 1,500 for the insurance premium to fix the front bumper where we had the parking scratch, however, surprisingly, we also had to pay an extra CHF 474 for fixing the very same parking scratch. They went on to charge CHF 180 three times (3 x CHF180) claiming the alloy wheels had scratches (The Alloys had nothing other than tiny marks from normal wear and tear after 40,165 Km use). They continued by charging another CHF 220 on other small bodywork repairs….We tried to negotiate it down unsuccessfully. Carvolution stood firmly saying they did everything per contract and their internal returns policy. We had to hire a lawyer to help with the discussion and eventually defend ourselves on court. Court proceedings were not needed as our lawyer managed to negotiate the bill slightly down after a few months. We decided to settle in order to avoid dragging the stress longer. I strongly recommend you stay away from their subscription service, while I believe the few good reviews here are probably coming from clients who haven’t returned their cars yet. I wish them good luck in the process. Try cleaning the car a lot and making as many photos as you can. Good luck.
