Worst Customer Service you will ever face
It's a mid-level bank as long as you don't need customer service and don't mind that the promised features and interest rates change every month and get worse and worse.
The real trouble starts after you need customer service for your business. Because there is no customer service. There is a phone number that you can reach in a very, very, very emergency, but you can only use this number if your card is stolen.
God help you if you want to reach customer service outside of these situations. Because the only way to reach customer service is to send a message. This messaging process takes almost 1 month to 2 months to be finalized.
In this process, you are talking to remote employees hired from outside Europe who cannot speak English and Dutch, which the bank uses to save money. The message we write is answered at midnight and these conversation intervals are 12 hours apart. Each time you send a message, you are assigned to a different person and these people ask the same questions without reading the previous messages and put you back into the 12-hour cycle.
In addition, these officials are not even remotely familiar with the banking system in Europe and especially in the Netherlands. For example, most obviously, they suggest you to use ATMs of different banks. It is just funny that the customer service of a Dutch bank advises you without even knowing the ATM system in the Netherlands.
Finally, my last comment is that I regret every day that I bought a 2-year membership in one go. I am counting the days until the end of 2 years.
I do not have any faith that Bunq will read what I have written from beginning to end. But if by any chance you are reading it, as a customer, it would be the most important factor to ensure that the problem is solved by waiting in line on the phone even for 10-15 minutes when I need it as a customer, at least by connecting to a customer service in the country where I live and speaking in my own language like civilized people.
