⚠️ FRAUDULENT Please be very careful before using this locksmith

I am writing this review because I don't want anyone else, particularly an older or vulnerable person, to find themselves in the same situation as my mother.

On 26 August 2026, my mother contacted Locksmith London Ltd using the telephone number 0330 058 2995.

She says she was quoted £50 for the locksmith service. After the work was carried out, she was charged £690 by debit card.

The receipt states:

Locksmith London Ltd
Company no: 15755174
VAT no: GB501204071
Invoice no: 24473

The work on the receipt is described simply as “Supply new back set and supply new system locking.”

My mother did not expect to pay £690 based on the original £50 quotation. We have contacted her bank to dispute the payment, but they have currently declined to assist because she does not have a recording or written evidence of the original £50 quotation.

I am posting this so people are aware of the very large difference between the quoted price and the amount ultimately charged and so that anyone considering using this service checks the price carefully and gets the total cost in writing before allowing work to begin.

I would also encourage anyone who has had a similar experience involving 0330 058 2995 to keep all invoices, receipts, advertisements, telephone records and messages and report concerns to the appropriate authorities.

Please be careful and get a clear written, all-inclusive price before agreeing to locksmith work.

Lanveza IPL Handset

Lanveza IPL Handset, £149.95, does not work. I followed the instructions correctly throughout the full course of treatment and saw no reduction in hair growth whatsoever. A friend purchased the same device independently and had an identical experience. I also bought their acne device at £39 which equally had no effect.

When I requested a refund I was refused three times despite my clear rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They hid behind their own 90 day guarantee which requires 11 dated progress photographs taken before you even know the product will fail, something that is not made clear at the point of purchase. I am now pursuing a chargeback through my bank.

I have since discovered many reviews here describing the exact same pattern. Please read these carefully before purchasing. I wish I had.

Underhand behaviour ...

Im not surprised they have poor reviews. I took out a van for a few hours took out extra insurance to be extra safe. Because it was on my visa card for extra insurance and never used again and Zipcar continued to charge me monthly for 15 months ? Its disgraceful and underhand taking money, especially when public couldn't travel because of the pandemic, charlatans! I do not recommend Zipcars and I am taking it further now they said they would refund 3 months? but nothing happened.

Hi Aum, we reached out privately on Monday in order to look into this, as we haven't got any members with this name. Sadly we haven't heard back, but are certainly perturbed to hear you feel this way. Waivers are controlled by members who can switch them on and off at their convenience in a matter of seconds via the app or website. We don't monitor account behaviour to see who is driving or not, so certainly the intention is to offer some protection and peace of mind in the event of an accident or bump.
