Review of Warmtegroep

Poor planners and doorstep salesmen

We moved into our house 2 years ago and carried on the warmtegroup inspections from the previous owners so warmtegroup have been managing the heating system for over 10 years.

However, I always find dealing with them a bit of a scam. You book a slot for an inspection a month in advance which requires being at home for a morning or afternoon and rescheduling your affairs to fit them in. Then a few days prior to this slot warmtegroup send a bunch of useless emails as well as one asking for confirmation of the appointment. This is not a reminder, if you miss the email and corresponding link asking for confirmation, which I did, then they cancel the appointment.

I called up to reschedule but the original slot was gone and instead given a new date and a specific 1400 slot. The engineer turned up at 1700.

On the day, the engineer who visited was friendly but we were still given a decision on what maintenance to undertake this year. You’re being sold a product on the spot which is very expensive and you haven’t got time to research if it’s necessary or not.

On the plus side the heating system has not failed us yet.

I would not recommend this company.

A delivery service underperforming.

They’ve thought through the delivery process and offer a good overview of when the package should arrive. Unfortunately the estimates in my case were wildly off. However the main problem was I ordered meats which need to be kept frozen but instead the package was kept on the back seat of a standard car. In the middle of a heatwave and last delivery of the day (22:25 delivery) the meats were no longer frozen. I will avoid using this service again.

Review of ALL - Accor Live Limitless

In terms of booking experience- worst…

In terms of booking experience- worst imaginable.
App apparently doesn’t keep up to date rates. Not that it tells you.

On the app once you find your hotel click through the options, selecting the room and rate, type in personal details (despite being signed in as a member), type in payment details(despite the profile you are signed in on having these details already) you click pay. It then says payment option not recognised, so you think ah I must’ve typed something in wrong, I’ll just go back and double check. No no, you can’t just go back and check you have to search again for the hotel, and input all those irritating bits of information once more. This time perhaps you double check before clicking pay, but same message occurs. Hmm, maybe it doesn’t like my MasterCard I’ll try my Visa. Search, type, check try again. Same result. What now, I’ll call the hotel and make a booking that way. No answer at the hotel. Okay I’ll call the main Accor line, being currently in the Netherlands I call the +31 Dutch number. The guy picks up, explains in perfect English he isn’t allowed to help in English and I must call the hotel. He doesn’t seem too surprised the hotel isn’t answering and comes up with a new +44 number to get through to the reservation line. 5 minute wait, not too bad. Representative picks up and says he cannot give me any of the rates I can see and so I must pay 20% more on top. I ask why I can see different rates available and so he puts me through to the supervisor who admits the rates the app offers have already been sold and that’s why a payment could not accepted. Outraged at taking 90 minutes to book a single night in a hotel, I paid. They did apologise to be fair but that’s as much as you get.

Probably, definitely won’t bother to use any Accor hotels again.
