I bought a Candy washing machine 30.05.2022 with a 10 year parts guarantee. Two months ago it flooded the bathroom floor causing damage. Contacted Candy re the 10 year parts guarantee..............Still waiting! Obviously just a selling point. Need to buy a new machine, it won't be a Candy.

NatWest have refused my debit card…

NatWest have refused my debit card payment to invest in NS&I having refused a payment by cheque because the address they have didn't match that held by NS&I - reason - a typist at NatWest hit 'a' instead of 'e' and failed to include a 'u'. NatWest is losing me money in interest I would have earned. As for 'asking Cora' my sanity is at risk with that one.

Pilton Auctions

I am amazed Pilton Auctions are still allowed to trade. They ignore the rules of Trading Standards, who do absolutely nothing about it, which they must find very helpful. Still waiting for compensation for the van load of antiques and other items that were collected but failed to arrive at Pilton, although I was charged £70 + VAT for the collection. I am amazed this company is allowed to continue trading. Doesn't exactly say much for Barnstaple.

Pilton Auctions …

Downsizing following the death of my husband I asked Pilton Auctions to collect furniture no longer needed by one person in a smaller house. I paid £70 each, plus VAT for four vans to collect my 'Treasured possessions'. The fourth and last van failed to deliver its contents consisting of antique furniture, 17th century copper log basket, Game Boy and a pair of full length double width Laura Ashley curtains. I was told I could place a reserve on the items from the three van loads that did manage to arrive, but every reserve was ignored and antique items that should have fetched a reasonable price were sold for a few pounds, less 19% commission ! Interestingly, the driver of the van kept up a running commentary to his two assistants as to who would have what; either he had extensive knowledge of the local population or perhaps local shops and antique dealers who frequent Pilton Auctions for their merchandise. All in all a bad experience I could have done without. My Solicitor wrote to Pilton twice, more expense, regarding the missing items, both letters were ignored.

How would I manage without them?

I've had problems with my Banks - both side of the Channel. Inefficient doesn't begin to describe, but HiFX came out with a shining halo. Saved my sanity with their efficiency.
