Not like a normal garage

I liked a car which I saw on your web site . However I was not allowed to view the car with the salesman ‘s full attention without “ blocking “ the car. This is very different to a normal garage selling cars.
I do not agree with it and I think that a normal process to buy cars should also be allowed ie. with the sales man’s full attention. As a result I did not buy a car from garage club .

Andrew one of our sales talk to you for 16' by phone. I understand that you don't like the way we work but this is not a reason to evaluate the process because it's our home and we set them for several reasons. If you don't like it's fine!

Disappointment that lenses were too thick

I ordered 2 pairs one with vari-focal lenses + one for reading. Both glasses were thicker than distance glasses that I ordered previously. I was told that the vari-focals and reading lenses were different shapes. However I still feel disappointed that I was not advised earlier ie. before I bought them. Also I wander whether Glasses direct have changed their lens thickness criteria since I last ordered.

Dear Mr MacIntosh,

We are sorry the lenses have turned out thicker than you expected.

The shape of the newer lenses is a little wider then the older pair, and for your prescription, the wider the lens, the thicker it is at the edge.

Some of the difference will be due to this, and also the positions of the optical centrs of varifocals are higher in the lenses than for single vision glasses, which has a knock-on effect on lens thickness.

Most customers with lower prescriptions don't find much difference, so we'd recommend you return them to us for inspection in case we can have them made thinner. We have emailed you a returns form for this purpose, but please contact us if there is anything else we can do for you.
