Bait and switch to close the deal
Trustline uses bait and switch sales tactics. They set a price, have you sign a contract, and then start to give you realistic quotes. I was originally quoted $850, signed a contract, and was required to pay a $200 deposit. I was told my car would get picked up that day....then the next day....then the next day. Then you start to get real quotes and realize the original price was just set to get you in the door and you start to get real quotes from real carriers.
In the end, I paid $1300 to ship the car and it took almost 2 weeks....which is probably about what I expected before having them confirm multiple times that it would be $800 to get the deposit. I hate that I couldn't have gotten a realistic quote from the beginning and been able to make an informed decision.
