Unfortunately it seems like quite a few others have been caught by this scam before me, but I sure hope (though also doubt) to be the last. Received a shipment via DHL, had contact with their customer service department regarding digital invoicing. No invoices there and neither did I ever receive any physical invoices via post.

Then 1 month later I receive a collection letter from Ultimoo for supposed DHL invoices. Called DHL but they refuse to give me any information since it's already in the hands of Ultimoo. Subsequently Ultimoo only says that both an invoice and reminder have been sent by post (both never received but we did receive the debt collection letter, quite the coincidence) and there is nothing else they can do.

I guess this was the first and last time DHL Express for me and although my experiences with UPS haven't been amazing either, they were 10x better than these extremely customer unfriendly (bordering fraud) business practices.
