Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 65 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Travelers explain that the online platform resembles official government portals, leading individuals to apply for travel documents under unclear circumstances. Consumers report that massive, hidden service charges are suddenly debited from their bank accounts without any transparent upfront cost disclosure before completing the payment. However, some people mentioned that their travel authorizations were eventually delivered, even though subsequent refund requests were consistently refused by support staff. Frustrated visitors therefore strongly advise others to carefully review third-party options and use official government websites directly for their applications.

SCAM!!

SCAM! Do not use this website!!!! It is NOT the official UK website and will change you over $150 (USD) instead of the actual amount of £40.

SCAM SITE !

Headline: SCAM SITE! Misleading layout and hidden charges over €141!DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! It is a complete scam designed to trick you into paying astronomical fees.I searched for the UK ETA on Google, and this website appeared at the top as an advertisement with an official-looking crown logo. The entire checkout process is completely deceptive—they do not show the total cost anywhere before you enter your card details. I assumed I was paying the standard UK government fee.Instead, they illegally charged my card 141.68 EUR plus a 4.96 EUR commission! The official UK government ETA strictly costs only £20 (about €23-€24). They are hiding massive service markups of over €120 and tricking people into paying it.When I immediately contacted them to protest the hidden charge, they took several days to reply just to stall for time while they processed the application. This site uses deceptive branding to exploit travelers. Save your money and apply only through the official gov.uk portal or the official UK ETA mobile app. I have reported them to cybersecurity authorities and am initiating a formal fraud chargeback with my bank. Avoid at all costs!

SCAMMERS!!!!

Very misleading website. I believed I was applying for a UK ETA for £20, but around €140 was charged instead. The additional service fees were not made clear enough before payment, and I still have not received the ETA.
I would strongly recommend using only the official GOV.UK website for a UK ETA and avoiding this website.

I feel completely misled by the way the price was presented!!!

DON'T USE THIS SITE - FRAUD

DON'T USE THIS SITE

This website is a total scam!! They use sponsored ads and a misleading site which looks legit to mislead people. Normally an ETA costs 20 pounds, this site said 20 pounds + service fee. In the end, I paid €144 which I NEVER AGREED UPON. It just went off my bank account without me having to sign for the payment. I immediately contacted them to demand my money back. Off course, they only replied 3 days later, when the ETA already was delivered, so they didn't have to pay me back. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam, watch out. Website that makes it look like UKGov., but commercial party that does nothing but forwarding your request. They charge you 99£ extra for this, for requesting a ETA of only 20£.

Mind these robbing thugs!

SCAM !!!

I used this site believing it was the official UK ETA application service. The design and wording, on purpose, closely mimic GOV.UK, and I only realized afterward that this is a third party company, not the UK government. I was charged 143 euros, far more than the official ETA fee, and there was no clear information about my right of withdrawal before payment.

When I tried to get a refund, I got no meaningful response. I also gave sensitive personal information, including my passport details, believing I was submitting them directly to a government service (consent vitiated by deception as to the identity of the recipient), which makes me very uneasy about how that data is being stored and used.

I am pursuing this through consumer protection channels in Canada, since the company is registered in Ontario.

I was charged €142,20 for an ETA that typically costs 20 GBP. I emailed them yesterday but have not heard back from them and I tried to call the telephone listed on the website but I got a recording saying to contact them by email only. Supposedly I got the ETA but for an exhorbitant price. They seemed like a legitimate UK government website but they're based in Canada. I should have been more careful!

Fraudulent company that scams people.

On August 4, 2026, I used their website to apply for a UK ETA. At the time of purchase, I believed I was using the official UK ETA application service. The website presentation created this impression due to elements such as the use of the UK flag, ETA branding/logo, the overall layout, and the company name, which is highly suggestive of an official UK ETA service.

After completing the payment of €163, I realized that the company was actually a private third-party intermediary and that the amount charged included a significant additional service fee compared to the official UK ETA application fee.

I contacted the company requesting a refund and explained that I was not aware I was purchasing a third-party service at this price. However, they refused my request, stating that the application had already been submitted and that refunds are not possible after submission.

My concern is not simply the price, but the lack of transparency regarding the nature of the service and the additional fees before payment. I believe the way the website was presented could easily mislead consumers into thinking they were applying through the official UK government channel.

I would like to request assistance in resolving this matter and obtaining a refund, as I do not believe I gave informed consent to purchase a private intermediary service under these circumstances.

I can provide:

* Payment confirmation (€163);
* Confirmation emails from the company;
* Their refund policy;
* My communication requesting a refund;
* Any other evidence required.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,
Laura Costa de Vasconcelos

⭐☆☆☆☆

I found this website through a Google search while trying to apply for the official UK ETA.

The overall design of the website, including the crown logo, the “ETA UK” branding, the government-style layout, and the prominent “Apply Now” button, gave me the genuine impression that I was using an official UK Government service. The notice stating that this is an independent service provider was very small, easy to overlook, and did not stand out during the application process.

I completed three applications myself, entering all personal information, passport details, and uploading all required photos and documents. Later, I applied for my husband’s ETA using the official UK Government app and found that the process required essentially the same information and effort.

Only today, while reviewing my credit card statement, I noticed that I had been charged €144.36 per application. Until then, I had not realised that, in addition to the government fee, a £99 service fee had been charged for each application.

In my opinion, this service fee was not presented clearly enough. The detailed fee breakdown was collapsed by default, meaning the £99 service fee only became visible after manually expanding the section.

I have contacted customer support and requested a full refund. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved fairly and professionally. If the company provides a satisfactory solution, I will gladly update my review accordingly.

Intransparente Gebühren, stark überhöhte Servicekosten

On 7 June 2026 I applied for a UK ETA via visauketa.com. The official ETA fee is 20 GBP, payable directly on the UK government website. Through visauketa.com I was charged 143.55 EUR (163.86 USD) for a single application.
During the booking process the final total amount was neither clear nor prominently displayed. The site mentioned 20 GBP plus a “fee”, but there was no transparent breakdown of the approximately 120 EUR in service charges. I did not receive a proper invoice or detailed cost breakdown within 24 hours as claimed; instead, it took about 6–7 weeks and several follow‑ups.
Only after 52 days did the company provide a detailed breakdown, retroactively splitting the original charge into a “government fee” (around 20.76 GBP) and a “processing fee” of more than 100 GBP. In my view this ex post construction confirms that the pricing at the time of purchase was not transparent.

In addition, the charge appears on my credit card statement under “ETA Visa Services, Sheridan, USA” in USD, while the website presents Sebe Inc./visauketa.com as a Canadian company. This makes it difficult for consumers to identify the actual contracting party and the real level of service charges.

This company presents itself like a government website, asking for £20 plus processing fee for the UK travel visa. I ended up paying $164 in total, so the hidden processing fee is about $140. I asked for a refund immediately. After 3 hours they said that the visa has been approved and they can’t refund me the money back, but I ll keep trying for the refund just to prove them that this kind of business strategy is unacceptable and has to be discontinued

This company's website is highly misleading. An ETA for the UK normally costs 24 euros. 146 euros was debited from my credit card. The website looks reliable, but don't fall for it. Check and double-check.

Fraudulant website

The website and application worked well, but at the end charges an excessive high amount (US$ 163,89 / EUR146,61) for their service which is absolutely ridiculous and not needed. You should go to the official government site. Luckily they processed the application and made me receive the approval within an hour. Unfortunately they do not refund me since they have performed the service.
