I’m extremely disappointed with my…

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Verve Portraits.
In January, I signed up for a promotion priced at $395, which clearly advertised a large framed artwork valued at $795 as part of the package. I have a screenshot confirming this. However, when I attended my design consultation today, I was told that what’s actually included is only a small art piece (19cm x 24cm).
When I showed them the screenshot, instead of acknowledging the discrepancy, they insisted I was incorrect. There was no attempt to properly explain or resolve the issue.
What’s even more concerning is that their confirmation email does not include any artwork sizes at all, which effectively gives them the flexibility to change what’s included at any time. That lack of transparency is very misleading.
To make matters worse, their current promotion offers a photoshoot for $195 and includes a much larger artwork (34 x 25) — also supposedly valued at $795. When I questioned how both a small and a significantly larger piece could have the same stated value, the staff member couldn’t provide any clear explanation and simply said “that’s what marketing has advised.”
Overall, this experience felt misleading and poorly handled. The lack of transparency, accountability, and clear communication is very concerning. I would strongly advise others to take screenshots and get everything clearly confirmed in writing — including sizes — before committing, as the advertised offers may not match what is actually delivered.

We were photographed by Ellen who was gentle and fun and the photos were beautiful, just stunning! Yes they were expensive but no different from any other professional studio. We could only afford to get 5 but we got a 6th free. These images are gorgeous they really took into account my husband who has Ramsay hunt syndrome and was left with one side of his face frozen. From the filming to the showing they were fun and not pushy at all.

What a horrible experience

Great photo shoot. That is it. It was a birthday present from my wife. We wanted to nice family photos for the home. She told them to keep it a surprise. They constantly emailed me to make an appointment for the shoot, totally spoiling any element of surprise. Then after the shoot, get ready for the pressure sell. Fake discounts etc. though they acknowledged it was my birthday present they pressure sold to my wife because they couldn’t possibly wait until I got back from getting kids an ice cream. These people are vindictive. Their non transparent sale pricing means they build up emotional attachment and then hit you hard so they can get some commission. Ridiculous and horrible experience. So Verve, thanks for spoiling my kids ice cream night, and also my birthday present surprise, pressure selling to my wife, (which I will be reporting to the accc) and generally being the most awful experience I have had for a loooong time!

Ridiculously overpriced $300 per digital photo.

Ridiculously overpriced $300 per digital photo - Emotional/collaborated scam sale by Car Dealership.

Received gift voucher of $750 from Goldy Holden Car Dealership. Hope not to pay anything for the digital photos. When we went for the photo shoot, found each digital photo would cost me $300 or approx. $2000 for all. Art Work/Printed option starts at a minimum of approx. $ 2000 which are Ridiculously overpriced. Probably it is collaborated scam sale by Car Dealership.

When you are there, there is no turn back but to spend thousands, it is an emotional sale, and you will end up buying and spending way over price than the market rate. Quality wise good and you may get the same quality in way cheaper.

Overpriced, didn't get what we asked for and extremely poor service

My daughter booked a session with Verve Portraits and after a few weeks we went to view the photos. Only a selection of the photos were nice - too many "artistic" shots. We foolishly paid the exorbitant prices and ordered some photos. We were told that they would be ready in 4-6 weeks but 2 months later we had heard nothing. Phone calls resulted in lies about the photos being ready. Another month later we finally picked up our order. Some of the photos have been printed off centre - not what we asked for and the order sheet clearly shows the images centered. There are also 3 photos that were not ordered and they are shots I have ever would NEVER have picked to display and actually stated at the time of the viewing how much I disliked these particular shots. If you are going to gift some photos make sure they are ones the customer likes. Totally disappointed and very out of pocket. I will be seeking a partial refund for the incorrectly printed images.
