My meetings are with folks who have different accents and indigenous vocabulary. Transkriptor does a really good job 99% of the time.

The only problem i ever have is that it often sends me a message that my subscription “ran out” when it didn’t.

I accidentally purchased an annual subscription instead of the monthly plan I intended to buy. The customer support team responded very quickly, clearly explained the available options, offered me a discounted annual Pro plan, and promptly processed a refund for the price difference. They also confirmed the future renewal price and date. The communication was clear, efficient, and helpful throughout the entire process.

After having been disappointed with the quality of the transcripts I had written this programme off as useless.
But today, even after my subscription ended, a member of service showed so much competence, efficiency and customer oriented friendliness that if I need this kind of service again I‘ll give Transkriptor another chance.
The service member’s name is Abhijeet and if anyone will be needed to teach newcomers how to do the job, he‘s the one. Thank you!

Eventually resolved, but it took far too long

I am updating an earlier 5-star review because my experience with Transkriptor has been much more mixed than I initially thought.
When Transkriptor works, I find it a useful transcription service. However, for roughly three months I experienced a persistent technical problem with my paid account: uploaded files would repeatedly get stuck at the “Processing” or “Finalizing” stage and never reach the editor.
I did extensive troubleshooting with support. I tested different audio and video files, short and long recordings, direct uploads and mobile uploads, several browsers, Mac and Windows computers, and iPhone/iPad apps. Clearing cookies, using Chrome and using incognito mode did not solve the problem. Importantly, similar files worked normally when I tested them with a separate Transkriptor account.
The support staff were polite and responsive, and they repeatedly removed stuck files and credited extra transcription minutes. Nevertheless, troubleshooting became frustratingly repetitive. I had to explain several times that I had already tested different browsers, devices and files, while the evidence increasingly suggested that something was wrong with my specific account.
Eventually, on 4 August, Transkriptor informed me that they had identified and resolved the problem with my account. They also explained that I had not been using the Custom Vocabulary feature as intended: I had included some long sentences or links, whereas it is meant for individual words and short phrases. I appreciate that clarification, although it remains unclear to me whether this was the actual cause of the processing problem.
Transkriptor also upgraded my account to the Team plan at no extra charge, which I consider a generous form of compensation.
So my final assessment is mixed: good and courteous support, a useful product when it works, and a satisfactory eventual resolution — but it should not have taken months and so many repeated troubleshooting steps to identify an account-specific problem.

3 out of 5 stars. If the service now remains stable, I would consider revising my rating upward.

Overall, I had a very positive experience. The support agent was patient, understood my situation, and helped resolve the issue by transferring my subscription to my active account. I really appreciate the flexibility and willingness to find a practical solution.

The only suggestion I have is to make the subscription status and renewal dates clearer after a plan transfer, as the renewal date shown in my account was a bit confusing. Other than that, the support was excellent. Thank you!
