MAJOR FAULT WITH TITAN CASES

I purchased two Titan suitcases from LH Worldshop in late 2023 I would take an average of 4 trips a year

The first case cracked at the wheel base which made it impossible to wheel, the first I noticed was leaving the hotel that had uneven footpath outside the hotel. The customer service, like an insurance company wouldn’t take responsibility nor offer a repair service

Much the same happened the second 8 months after but it was off a flight. Didn’t bother contacting Titan.

: Horrible quality and even worse customer service

I am beyond disappointed with my new Titan luggage. I just bought this suitcase, and the wheel completely broke during a transit on my very first trip. For a brand that claims to be high-quality and durable, this is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, their customer service is terrible. When I contacted them about the broken wheel, they admitted it was covered under warranty and offered to send a replacement part, but they are forcing me to pay the courier shipping fees! Why should I have to pay anything extra for a brand-new, defective product that broke immediately.
A real premium company stands behind its products and covers the shipping costs for warranty claims on brand-new items. Save your money and buy from a company that actually cares about its customers.

I'm a frequent flyer

I'm a frequent flyer, averaging three trips a month, and I've been using a Titan bag for less than two years. My previous, inexpensive bag—bought in Saigon, Vietnam—barely survived four flights before its wheels melted off at LAX. Hoping for better durability, I bought my Titan mid-sized bag in Frankfurt, Germany, in September 2023 for €280. It seemed promising with its lightweight design, apparent quality materials, durability and what I believed was a good warranty.

However, its performance has been severely disappointing. The corners were dented after just six flights and cracked through after twelve. By the twentieth flight, the wheel housing began cracking, and now the wheels collapsed into the case. When I contacted Titan, they attributed the damage to baggage handler abuse, which clearly indicates their bags aren't designed for the realities of checked luggage. The warranty, therefore, seems inadequate for actual travel use.

The core issue is that the case material simply isn't robust enough for air travel's demands. The wheels, in particular, can't withstand the stresses of being packed into aircraft holds, enduring conveyor belts, and carousel impacts. I'd expected this bag to last for years, and now I'm back to shopping. This experience highlights how product reviews can sometimes fall short, as the Titan reviews didn't reveal these critical flaws. I hope my feedback helps change that.

I regret not buying a Samsonite instead

I decided to try the Titan Litron Frame L suitcase €419 in August 2024, based on a recommendation from a friend who has been using Titan products for decades. Titan claims their products are of high quality, so I had high expectations. However, I was disappointed with the suitcase I received. It felt very plastic and lacked the solid, robust feel I anticipated.

On its very first trip, the suitcase sustained a heavy dent in the corner and several scratches. As an extensive traveler, I have never experienced such damage with a brand-new “high-quality” suitcase. When I contacted Titan, they blamed the airline baggage service and stated that the damage was not covered under their 10 year guarantee, despite the suitcase being brand new and clearly not durable.

I regret not buying a Samsonite instead. Even my Tumi, which I used for 8 years, was far more durable.
