No pressure. The staff are always helpful. Reasonably priced quality glasses.
Went to pick up new glasses walked straight in and was done within 10 minutes salesrep said here's glasses this are reactolight tried them on then said these are normal ones tried them on that was it no asking if where tight ,didn't check see if fitted properly behind ears, didnt even mention about any after service you provide, felt like wasn't interested in assisting you in any means
I have been a Specsaver customer for 15+ years. Always had good services with friendly and knowledgable staff. But this time, it was an awful experience.
From the day I had the eye test, to finally I had a pair of wearable glasses, I had 8 trips in total to the store within 4 weeks period, not to mention the first 10 days, my order just sat in their draw, waiting.
On the first collection date, they could not even find my glasses, so I had to go back another day. I ordered elite Varifocal glasses, but it was poorly made. After the second collection, I found a big lump of dry glue clearly visible in between the lens and frame, so I had to return them for refitting.
Upon third collection, incorrect size of screws were used on both hinges, hence half of the screws were sticking out on both sides and screws were fitted upside down.
It took them 3 attempts hence 3 more visits to adjust the legs and pads. Even after the last adjustment, the glasses are still not 100% right, kept slipping down on my nose. I have given up going back for refit.

My regular annual check up is good , however my new glasses aren’t. I have been coming back for few times now to tell them that it’s not comfortable at all but they just keep adjusting the nose pad and keeps telling me to try for another week, then come back. Its been so stressful coming back everytime as I feel they don’t even care to assist me when they even have a policy of return and refund!
Everyone was really helpful and gave great advice
Very efficient and was very pleased with my two pairs of glasses.
I can tell it's a very thorough experience with good equipment. There was a young Asian man in store on my previous test. He made the experience much better with his personality.
I was seen on time and optiction very helpful.
Friendly staff
My eye test was very thorough and I was pleased to have everything explained to me about how my eyes have changed.
All the staff were helpful.
When I picked the glasses up, I could have done with more time to get both pairs fitted, as 2 weeks later I had to go back to have one pair's arms shortened. A nice lady told me to come back again if still not sitting properly. Will give them a week to make sure I am happy with them.
Two of the lads Lloyd and Lenny in the Yeovil branch very helpful and patient
Re: Chester Specsavers
I went in complaining of difficulty reading at arm's length with my left eye being worse than my right. I was sold a pair of glasses based on the recommended prescription. There was no communication about a 100 day returns policy on any correspondence or verbally at the time of purchase. I've been struggling with these glasses since Day 1, experiencing eye strain after use. Since these are my first glasses, people around me reassured me that I would adapt. I didn't. I went back in with the glasses, only to find out I was given a distance prescription instead of near/intermediate, which is what I actually needed and which was even documented in their consultation notes. Since it is beyond 100 days, even though they gave me the incorrect lenses, there is nothing that can be done other than buying new ones, on top of already paying them for a repeat sight test to check if my eyes were the issue. The repeat eye test results were exactly the same as the original test, and this time the intermediate lenses were recommended. Despite all this, they refuse to rectify their error. It's probably better to go to an independently owned optician rather than a chain like this. I've learnt a lesson. Most of the staff were lovely though, so that was one positive.
