Strings Direct Reviews 

I bought an item from this company’s eBay store. They then spammed me via eBay messages to my eBay email asking for a review on a third party website. I gave them a poor review as the emails were unsolicited. I received an unnecessarily aggressive response from them but they apologised and said they had asked their IT department to remove my details from their systems. Yet I continue (days after they said they’d stop sending) to receive unsolicited spam from them via eBay. And I received another today. I have reported them to eBay.

Avoid this company as they don’t ask you if you wish to receive unsolicited email. They send spam and it never stops.

Months after I wrote the above they just sent me via eBay another junk email which was unsolicited.

Quick efficient service. Product was as advertised. Purchased from this outlet before no issues, great range of products.

I buy strings for electric, acoustic and bass. What I like is their huge selection of strings.

I also highly value the speed at which the strings are dispatched. They usually arrive within 24 hrs. Great service.

I don’t do a lot of research on their competitors prices not just because the huge range of their stock but I think they must be very competitive because I know how popular and trusted they are.

My experience with Strings Direct has been uniformly great. They have a really good range of products and when you have obscure questions about (in my case) plectrums and capos, they really know what they are talking about.
The reason I'm actually writing a review is because I ordered very light gauge 12 string acoustic strings - not usually available in my local shop - on Saturday lunchtime and they arrived on Sunday! That is real service. Highly recommended.

Another .ie scam....

Used this site as it had a .ie web address. They were very efficient in processing and dispatching. Only to be hit with Irish VAT and charges when they arrived in Dublin.

I love buying my bass guitar strings from Strings Direct. Easy to use website, easy ordering and payment, fast reliable delivery. An altogether slick operation. They've just got it right! Would highly recommend 👍☺️

I've been reluctant to leave a negative review because I have always had good experiences with this company in past purchases. Customer service is fast, shipping is fast and they have great products and great prices.
The reason I'm having to write this is due to a recent purchase of D'Addario strings. They came corroded/tarnished and I have to give credit to Strings Direct, I contacted them and the same day (maybe the day after) they apologised sincerely and sent a new set out and contacted D'Addario to let them know about the issue.
Unfortunately, the replacement set they sent to me had the exact same issue. I sent photos of the corrosion and haven't heard anything back.
It's a shame because I know that these things can happen and most of the time, string corrosion is a problem that originates at the factory as they come in sealed bags. I'm not sure if the strings are old or had been kept in a suboptimal environment but either way, I am disappointed in the silence since contacting about the replacement set.
I did say that I was going to leave them on my guitar because I hate restringing and I honestly don't like hassling people but I'm writing this because the strings aren't cheap. They're half rounds which are typically more expensive and I do mostly blame D'Addario for the damaged strings, I just wonder if Strings Direct have bad batches of strings, I'm not sure.
They are a great company and I hate to write a review like this.
