Good packaging and RT50 product. Let down by Royal Mail who decided to post letters but not ring doorbell so posted a failure to deliver note! I was in. Total confusion at RT over another title I was... See more

Where it all started. Rough Trade was founded by Geoff Travis in 1976 as a London record shop and began releasing as an independent label in 1978. In 1982, the retail outlet broke with the A&R and distribution divisions and became an independent entity, as it remains today. In 1982 Rough Trade West relocated from its original site on Kensington Park Road to nearby Talbot Road. Rough Trade Neal’s Yard opened in 1988 and closed its doors in 2007, ahead of the opening of a new flagship store, Rough Trade East, which opened in 2007 in Brick Lane. Rough Trade NYC opened in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2013 and relocated to Rockefeller Center, Manhattan in 2021. Rough Trade Nottingham opened in 2014. Rough Trade Bristol opened in 2017. We host live shows, sell records, merchandise, hardware, beer and coffee. Come say hello!

Ripper packaging and care taken
Ripper packaging and care taken. Never disappoints and given the distance each purchase has to travel globally, each record arrives in mint condition. Brilliant range of exclusives too.

The copy of Kiss in Anaheim was not shrink wrapped and has a big sticker on the front of the case. Seems a new release should be shipped as new, not open and possibly used/ returned

Delivered with professionalism always a great experience and oh yes quality vinyl loving it. Thank you
Great Team
After a little hiccup, the problem was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Great team to deal with. Already planning my next purchase.
Part of order cancelled after 3 month wait
I ordered 5 albums to get up to the free shipping limit. After waiting almost 3 months, my order for the album I wanted the most was cancelled and refunded without any explanation or attempt to make it right. Unfortunately it was a signed copy which will cost many times more on secondary platforms if I’m even able to find it at all. Also, that item held up the shipping of the other items. Not happy with Rough Trade.
Rough Trade are the go to for vinyl
Rough Trade are my go to in person and by mail for the majority of my vinyl purchases. Great breadth of genres, plus incredible exclusives. Postage is secure and prompt and I’ll items arrive in good condition. Website is simple to navigate and to use to keep a track of pre orders.
Slow delivery and missing CD
The 2 CD's I ordered took significantly longer than initially indicated to arrive, and then one of them had the bonus disc missing. That's the 2nd time that this has happened in less than a year.....and I've only placed 2 orders in that time!!!
Rough Trade East has been going downhill for CD buyers for a few years now, and has reached the point where it's gone from a 'must visit' to 'why bother'.
Hopefully the mail order business isn't heading in the same direction!!!!
Quality experience as always
Quick delivery of items and extremely well packaged, as always. The presentation of both records is lovely and the price was very reasonable considering what original presses are going for.

Brilliant as always.
Fantastic updates.
Best packaging.
Always on time.
More excellent RT Exclusives
I always look at RT's Exclusive editions, especially for those of new artists. My last order was for exclusive CD-versions of debuts by Deary, Westside Cowboy, and Mary in the Junkyard, and I wasn't disappointed. The only downside is the rather high minimum-order-to-get-free-P&P threshold, but I know smaller operations like Rough Trade have to safeguard their margins, so I'm willing to live with that if the quality of the material remains this good.
Rough trade but a great service
Easy to order, great communication and safe secure delivery wonderfully packed
Perfect
Love the packaging it was in. Recieved with no issues and on time.
Thanks

Good Options - Rough Trade 50 Collection.
Quick delivery & the records were very well packaged & protected.
Good selection to choose from including the exclusive Rough Trade 50 collection.
Super easy ordering system.
Far from rough ROUGH TRADE experience!
I was really fortunate to get my hands on the limited-edition 50th anniversary pressing of Radiohead’s In Rainbows, and Rough Trade made the entire transaction a great experience from start to finish.
The order was shipped quickly, and the packaging was absolutely superb. The record arrived safely and in perfect condition, which is especially important when ordering a limited-edition vinyl release.
… And what a GLORIOUS pressing this is! By far surpasses by previous copy ordered off Amazon sometime ago. So happy RT had a crack at this one, which is in fact, one of the greatest albums ever created. Looks so beautiful on the platter.
Needless to say, I am very satisfied with the purchase and really appreciate the care Rough Trade put into getting this special release out there. Great product, great service, and a great overall experience. Looking forward to the next one!
Reliable
Big selection of albums. Quite fast and secure delivery.
Website navigation is not great and there should be a wishlist feature.
